NatureBox June 2018 Review

Naturebox June 2018 Sweet and Simple Berry Nut Mix

Naturebox June 2018 Trail Mix

Sweet & Simple Berry Nut Mix, 4 oz. - Retail Value $9.99/Member Price $7.49

After my first NatureBox experience last month was so exceedingly good, I was so looking forward to this month. Yet again, I was over the moon about my snacks. To start, I dug into this trail mix, which is a blend of lightly salty cashews & almonds mixed with blueberry-flavored cranberries. What a concept! Cranberries are already pretty sweet, so the added sweetener wasn't necessary in my opinion, but the simplicity of the nuts balanced it out nicely. This is a good, solid trail mix!

Naturebox June 2018 Flavored Popcorn

White Cheddar Caramel Popcorn, 3.05 oz. - Buy a 2-pack for $7.99/Member Price $6.49

Maybe I went into it with a closed mind, but this blend of flavors just kind of sounded strange to me. Turns out I was utterly mistaken and that white cheddar caramel popcorn is the world's best snack, hands down. My husband and I could have downed an entire silo of this popcorn. I am so intensely a fan of it!

Naturebox June 2018 Thin Lemon Cookies

Naturebox June 2018 Cookies

Thin & Crispy Meyer Lemon Cookies, 5 oz. – Retail Value $6.99/Member Price $5.99

These cookies are exactly as marketed! They're thin, crispy, and lemony—yum! For one serving (which is 9 cookies), there are only 8 grams of sugar. Not too shabby for a sweet treat! My first thought was that these would make awesome sandwich cookies and that I should whip up some vanilla icing to put in the middle, but they didn't last in our pantry long enough for that idea to come to fruition. I'm going to be more prepared next time, in case I receive these cookies again.

Naturebox May 2018 Big Island Pineapple

Naturebox May 2018 Dried Fruit

Big Island Pineapple, 4.5 oz. - Buy a 2-pack for $11.99/Member Price $8.49

This is a repeat snack from last month. I'm not typically a dried fruit person, but I gave them a go last time and thought they were tasty. They were a little tough to bite into and chewy to chomp down on—both reasons why I'm not usually keen on dried fruit—but the flavor was just so, so delish. My plan last time around was to chop them up with a knife and add the smaller pieces to my oatmeal or yogurt, but I found myself not doing that even once in the past month, so I decided to keep this new bag sealed so I can give it to a friend.

Naturebox June 2018 Vanilla Bean Wafers

Naturebox June 2018 Vanilla Wafers

Naturebox May 2018 Vanilla Cookies

Vanilla Bean Wafers, 5 oz. - Retail Value $8.49/Member Price $6.99

These cookies are another repeat from last month, but this time around I received a full bag instead of a sample size. They totally nod to that classic Nilla Wafer cookie that was a staple throughout my childhood but with a matured flavor. They're thin and crunchy, and a bit crumbly. I'm into them! Actually, this would make another great sandwich cookie candidate—any suggestions on what kind of filling I should make to put inside? I haven't opened this packaging yet because I have been indulging on the other sweet offerings sent my way this month. But, soon!

Verdict: I love that NatureBox is simple and to the point, offering full-size snacks with resealable packaging. While I would've loved to have gotten one or two more savory snacks this month to balance things out, even the sweet ones have a healthy spin and aren't completely loaded up with sugar. This month I received five full-size packages, and I'm delighted by all but one.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, you will receive a new curation of snacks.

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $24.99 including free shipping, which means that each of the 5 items in the box has an average cost of $4.99.

I’m not a big fan of dried fruit either. Can you request no dried fruit in your box? Everything else looked yummy.

If you like to drink tea, that dried pineapple makes any tea taste SO good. Just chop a slice up into smaller pieces and let it steep with your tea. Gives a nice pineapple taste, and once you’ve had your tea, the pineapple pieces are soft and much easier to chew. A nice sweet treat 🙂
