More Than Just Moms Summer Box May 2018 Review

Included in the box was this info card which describes all of the items in the box and lists their websites. They also listed what is included in the baby box, which is a Moss & Marsh Bath Mitt.

Peaceful Fruits Natural Fruit Strip in Passionfruit - Estimated Value $1.33 (Buy 12 for $16.00)

The first item was this passion fruit flavored fruit strip. It is a great small size for throwing in your purse and I like that it is organic and made entirely of fruit with no added sugar. This flavor was soooo tart that I had to give the rest to my husband! I don’t think I’d purchase them, but it was a nice treat to try.

Obvious State John Keats Floral Tote

Obvious State John Keats Floral Tote - Retail Value $24.00

This tote is really pretty with the floral pattern on the front and a nice Keats quote in the center. There were a total of 3 different patterns that subscribers could have received. I love that there is also a little inner pocket as well to store smaller items. I keep trying to think of how I can use this other than gifting it to a hostess since it is so pretty, but the only thing I can come up with is using it for trips to the farmer’s market or quick grocery trips.

SugarBombs Double Butter Soap in Cotton Candy - Retail Value $4.50

While I am not always a fan of cotton candy flavored items, I thought it was a fun scent for a soap. It smelled just like cotton candy in the package, but for some reason, the scent changed a bit when I used it in the shower. It started to smell more like blue raspberries which isn’t really a scent I enjoy. My skin felt clean after using this, but I really wish this had a more subtle scent so I could get more use out of it.

Luv London Body Scrub in Coconut Creme

Luv London Body Scrub in Coconut Creme - Retail Value $8.00

This scrub is the coconut smell that I am always hoping to find whenever I pick up a coconut scented product! I love the rich, creamy scent of this- it doesn’t smell like the fake coconut scents that remind you of tanning oil, but instead this smells much more tropical to me. The scrub is very fine, just like sugar and it left my legs feeling nice and smooth and soft. I actually could smell the scrub after my shower which was really nice because I feel like the scent from scrubs doesn’t always linger. This was probably my favorite item in the box!

Balnapis Invigorating Gemstone Bath Salts in Bergamot Onyx - Estimated Value $8.00 (I am estimating this to be about the same as the body scrub since they are similar in size and similar enough products!)

There were a lot of bath products in this box! But I like that they were all very different and also come from small businesses which I can always appreciate! These bath salts smell very much like lime and citrus to me. It’s a really bright, crisp scent. This blend is meant for strength and stability with the bergamot essential oils and black onyx gemstone. A fitting blend for any mama!

Delia Organics Restore Treatment with Tamanu and Noni Oil, 1 oz. bottle - Retail Value $39.99

This facial oil is meant to slow environmental moisture evaporation on your skin. They recommend using it at night in place of a moisturizer as it helps your skin regenerate overnight. I think that I used a little bit too much for my first time because I had a bit of an oily residue, but I guess that also means a little bit goes a long way! This felt very light and absorbed quickly into my skin leaving my face feeling super soft. I also tried this as an eye makeup remover and while it worked well for this, I didn’t really like using it on my eyes. Mostly because I wear contacts and even trace amounts of oils make them blurry. This oil is fragrance-free and is 100% natural which I love!

Verdict: Overall, I felt like this was a great box for mom (or any woman!) with a mix of products to pamper and take care of her. While some items were a miss for me, like the soap and some I was indifferent to like the bag and bath salts, I really love the coconut scrub and the facial oil. The cost of this box was $31.49 ($29.99 + $1.50 tax) which is less than the facial oil itself would cost me which makes everything else feel like a bonus. The total value of the box came to $85.82 which I think is great for a $31.49 box. Plus this is a seasonal box so pampering yourself four times a year for $31.49 seems pretty affordable to me!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

I have received my box and I am very happy. I got the Wordsworth tote, which is beautiful. The soap goes in my linen drawer for aromatization. The scrub will be gifted as I prefer jarred ones. The oil will be used, along with the bath salts. For $10 it’s a fabulous box, but I wouldn’t pay full price because it’s simply too much for me, even though the value us definitely there.

Overall, a lovely box.

THAT bag with THAT discount code?! You can’t go wrong with a $10 box like this. I subscribed. Best part? They accept Canadian cards.

I know, right! As soon as I saw the tote bag, I was in love.

I wonder which other 2 prints are included…

CindyLouWho68

Can you provide a size for the tote. In the 1st photo it looks really large, but in the later ones it looks alot smaller.

Brandi

Thanks for providing the tote size, Eva! It is 24” tall if you include the handles and at the widest point when it’s open it’s about 10” at the top, but the inside is pretty narrow and is probably about 3” wide at the base! Hope that helps! 🙂

It’s 13x15in. That’s what I see on their website! I love the prints! Definetly getting mine now! Great Box!

This is a nicely curated box. Especially with all the small brands. Love that tote. I am a pretty casual person and would usr it as a purse. Also great library bag! I wish a lot of these subs would offer their boxes seasonally. I have unsubbed to many boxes about 3 years ago bc it was just too much “stuff”. If this was seasonal I would sub in a hot second.

This is a seasonal box– 4 times/year. The review is the Summer Box.

Thanks for answering, Nancy! And I agree, Lynn M.- it’s nice to have a seasonal box so that you don’t end up with quite so much! 🙂
