Cheryl’s Cookie of the Month June 2018 Review

Once you open the box you are greeted to a beautiful sight of cookies and an info sheet. The info sheet has details on their various clubs, how to store your cookies for maximum flavor, and how to tell if the sender left you a gift message.

Cheryl’s Patriotic Buttercream Frosted Sugar Cookies, x 12 – Retail Value $26.99 (found here for $19.99)

I was happy to dive into these cookies — I love the frosted sugar cookies from the grocery store, and I love frosted anything, in general. These cookies are not for those who do not have a big sweet tooth—if you're not prepared, that first bite can be so sweet that your teeth hurt! However, if sweets are your absolute jam than you will enjoy these. The cookies themselves are buttery and soft, and they do taste like they are made with real, high-quality ingredients. There is a good ratio of frosting to cookie and one cookie is more than enough to satisfy your cookie craving. I am happy that these can be frozen because I would not be able to eat 12 of these scrumptious cookies in 4 days. These are the cookies that are a special treat rather than the kind you dip in milk and mindlessly eat in front of the tv. I also appreciate that they are individually packaged, as it makes it way easier to store them, gift them, and transport them.

The Verdict: This cookie subscription is for everyone who loves the frosted sugar cookies you can buy at the grocery store, but appreciates that these are even more delicious. The price is high when you compare it to mass-produced cookies from the grocery store, however, I think the price is fair for the quality of the cookie you get. I also appreciate that there is a discount for subscribing—these 12 cookies would normally cost $26.99 plus shipping, and I got them for $23.98 ($16.99 plus $6.99 shipping). Since this is the pay-as-you-go club, you also aren't saddled into a 6 or 12-month commitment of cookies, making these great for special occasions or one-time gifts. Each month the cookies will be in a different seasonal theme, which you can view here. My next cookie delivery will be in August (my birthday month!), and I can’t wait!

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? I believe so! Sign up before the end of the 3rd week of the month to get those month's cookies.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $23.98 ($16.99 + $6.99 shipping) and I received 12 delicious cookies. That breaks down to about $2 a cookie.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

I’m so happy you reviewed them!! I live in SW Florida now, but I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and therefore, I grew up with Cheryl’s! They are so freaking delicious!

I will say – just an FYI – that many people I’ve shared them with have remarked “how sweet” the buttercream icing is on the iced cookies.

QVC sells them too and she always has great deals especially around the holidays.

Cheryl’s use to be local for me. We have since moved out of Ohio to a state that doesn’t have a Cheryl’s store in every mall. You never realize you’ll miss these until you can’t find them easily on a whim. I sent a box to my dad for Father’s Day and was oh so tempted to send some to me as well. So good!

I am confused people make fun of and are shocked at the Oreo club sub box for $20.00 a month. and this box is more with shipping and you get less cookies with it are these cookies really that great ?

It is alot for cookies. And I have not subbed to this. But I’d be way more likely to than the Oreo sub box because I can walk into any grocery store, Walmart or Target and buy my own Oreos in flavors I like (or the same ones in the sub) for way less money than paying for the sub. I can’t easily find these cookies. Sure, I might be able to find some equally as delicious (or close) at a local bakery but that’s a bit more of a hassle than every store that sells food (with Oreos). And a local bakery is going to charge more than Oreos too. LOL.

Yes, they really are. (At least in my opinion). Certainly, not everyone will find the value, but they are nothing like store-bought cookies. I haven’t even found one I like as much at fancy bakeries.

I love these! They are local to some family, and my uncle-in-law has purchased them the last couple years for us at Christmas. SO GOOD!!

Sad 🙁 The sugar free option is no longer available in my zip code.

We have been getting these delivered for a least 5 years plus. We get them 6 holidays a year. It turns out they come every other month! They are best from the freezer if you ask me. Once your MIL knows you like them “its the gift that keeps on giving Clark”. Had to quote Christmas Vacation!

I freaking LOVE Cheryl’s cookies. Someone used to get them at my old office and we’d all clamor for them. I don’t buy them cause I’d eat too many!! I think they used to do cookie grams (1 cookie) which was cute.
