The booklet mentions artist Coco Dávez, who created the vibrant orange and blue artwork for this month’s box. She also designed the following postcard:

This bold design is perfect for summer vacation season. But I can also see framing this and popping it on the mantle to bring the summer vibes into my living room.

Fair Seas Supply Co. Turkish Towel – Retail Value $44.00

It’s Turkish towel season again, my friends! It’s understandable why these towels are so trend-worthy. This sunshine-yellow towel is versatile enough to use at the beach, as a pool cover-up, as a super-sized scarf, or even around the house as a table runner. This particular towel is made from sustainable organic cotton, so it doesn’t just look nice—it feels good and wears beautifully, too.

Kevia Tassel Necklace

To be honest, I didn’t expect to love this piece of jewelry as much as I do. This ethically made design is just one super long, thin chain with white tassels on either end. Its beauty is in its versatility, much like the Turkish towel. You can swing it around your neck to make a layered necklace (or a chic take on a bolo tie, as I did above), use it around your wrist as a bracelet, or explore any other configuration you can imagine. (Body chain? Hair accessory? Boho crown? It’s up to you!) The delicate texture of the chain actually holds onto itself pretty well, so that things felt secure after looping it around a few times. I couldn’t find this design online, so I’d imagine this is a more unique, harder-to-find piece. I also LOVED reading about the socially and environmentally minded entrepreneur behind this brand in the booklet! Her story and passion were so inspiring.

Exclusive Tribe Alive Convertible Clutch/Purse

There are three different versions of this bag that subscribers could receive. (We’ll take a look at the other versions in a sec.) I love this blue one that I got in my box! The fabric is a soft canvas in a two-toned pale blue pattern. Inside, the bag is plain canvas with enough room to comfortably house a book, a wallet, and even a small iPad when unfolded. Folded up, it looks refined, yet fun—something for when I want to impress at a summer picnic without looking like I’m trying too hard. Unfolded and paired with its included gold chain, it’s the kind of thing I’d swing over my shoulder before heading out on summer errands or popping out on vacation weekend activities. That little tassel is the perfect accent, too. Love!

L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil, 75 ml – Buy an 8.4 fl. oz. bottle for $25.00 here

I’ve used L’Occitane products before, and I love how elegant the aromas and formulas are. This oil replaces soap in your shower—it still foams up a bit, but the product doesn’t strip or stress your skin like soaps can. Also, it smells deliciously fresh and nutty. My skin was softer than it usually is coming out of the shower after using this instead of body wash!

Zoya Nail Polish, Set of 3 – Retail Value $10.00 each

Zoya nail polish has all of the staying power, smoothness, and pigment of other notable brands, minus the harmful toxins. This set of summer colors ranges from understated to all-out glamorous. Even on my tiny nails (grow, nails, grow!), they look pretty fab. The red is called “Sonja”, the white is “Purity”, and the beige is called “Jack”.

Karuna Antioxidant+ Sheet Masks, Set of 4 – Retail Value $28.00

I learned from the booklet that Karuna was the first US sheet mask brand! Cool! While this mask delivers a boost of antioxidants, it also pumped a ton of moisture into my combination skin. The thing I’m most impressed by here is that they gave me a set of 4 masks, which means I can use this same treatment over time and see what impact it has on my skin. Typically, boxes only send one mask, which usually means my skin gets moisturized but doesn’t feel the benefits that might come from repeat use. So I’m excited by the thoughtful choice to include more than one!

d.stil 28 oz. Water Bottle in Powdered Sky – Retail Value $9.99

I love the color and clean lines of this water bottle. The top is a “pinch and carry”, meaning the strap also acts as a drawstring of sorts to pull the plastic lid down tight around the opening of the bottle. There’s also a wider twist off section, too, so you can add ice or fruit to your water. The company supports water.org, which I admire, and the bottle even comes with a yellow hair elastic for good measure!

Subscribers may also have received this pink stainless steel bottle, which comes with a gray hair tie!

Verdict: I looooved this month’s box! In general, I think this subscription has a cool, fresh vibe that really appeals to me, and this month was a great example of that. I loved the bright, trend-savvy pastels in the water bottle, towel, and bag. I also just love how everything feels so aspirational and hip—if you’re worried about ethical/sustainable/community-minded products being somehow less beautiful or high quality than the more commercial brands you’re used to, this box should dispell that. The Zoya nail polish, for instance, is less toxic than lots of the more mainstream versions, but it’s just as reliable and dreamy to use. I love this box for product and brand discovery, but also just as a treat to get myself (or someone else—it’s a great gift idea!) each quarter. It’s a pricier subscription for me, but I feel like the value is there.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! But hurry—they go fast!

Coupon – Use coupon code WELCOME10 to save $10!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $54.95. The items I could find online have a total retail value of $111.99, with 4 items (including the purse) to spare. Via the box cost, the average price paid for each of the 8 items would be $6.87.

  1. Following the suit of other boxes and allowing customization for annual subscribers was a brilliant move on their part.

I just got my box today, and I didn’t have to stress about getting a bag color I didn’t want, or getting a plastic water bottle (I only use glass or stainless).

I immediately upgraded to annual when they made the switch, and it was totally worth it. 🙂

    Great idea, Causebox.

  2. My box arrived this weekend & I’m very happy with it. My bottle is stainless steel in the powdered blue color. My clutch is the white one. I’m very happy with this box.

  3. I got my box today and while I love everything, the lightest color nail polish was just missing from the box. So strange.

    • Thanks for pointing this out. I hadn’t thought to check as I was going to swap this and never even opened the box.

  4. I received my box today and I’m so delighted with everything. I hoped that I’d get the pink clutch and I did!

    • Yay! Glad to hear you got the variation you wanted! 🙂

  5. I got the stainless steel bottle in powdered sky instead of pink! I love my bottle the best of all of them! Did anyone else get a different colored stainless steel bottle?

    • I also got a stainless bottle in a light aqua color, with a yellow tie. I’m a monthly subscriber, so I kind of assumed I’d get the plastic bottle. I know it’s supposed to be random, but I have a fun habit of almost always getting what I’m secretly hoping to avoid lol. So getting a stainless version was pretty nice!

The Turkish towel was a LOT thinner and of over all lesser quality than the Margot Elena Turkish towel, for those who also got the ME Summer box. It’s kind of a bummer because if I hadn’t gotten the ME towel, I wouldn’t have known any different, as it’s the first Turkish towel I’ve ever owned. Anyway, the ME towel blows the Causebox towel away! I’m excited to try both though. Yes, I’m excited to try a towel LOL : )

      • What is the ME box?

        • Margot Elena

  6. I’m a monthly subscriber and too my surprise I got the pink stainless water bottle! I would’ve been happy with either option since I already have a hydro flask, but I was surprised that all the pink ones didn’t get chosen by the annual subscribers. I received the coral purse, which perfectly matches the pink bottle. I loved everything in this box!

  7. At the beginning of the review it says “was sent at no cost to review” so why the comment about it being a pricier subscription for you? This box’s price is about the same as FFF, Sugarbash and Popsugar. CauseBox is my favorite. The items are unique but most importantly support causes.

  8. When are these shipping? I contacted customer service 3 times and no response….

    • Mine shipped this morning

    • Mine shipped June 15.

  9. Kicked myself for not ordering the Spring box, but I didn’t hesitate this time, especially after this review. I like this more than the Summer FabFitfun box.

  10. I could not resist! I really hope I get the black and white bag and pink bottle 🤞🏼 or that someone will swap colors with me.

I’m going to subscribe annually next paycheck. This box is phenomenal. I don’t know how it’s taken me so long.

  11. They are on quite a roll lately!! This box has such a great value and lovely assortment of items. 💕

    • Right? I’m so impressed by the quality of what they include, and all of the fun, fresh designs. The fact that all of the companies featured have some kind of “giving back” component is icing on the cake!

Thanks for reading/commenting, Sharyn! I’m glad you’re loving this box as much as I am!

  12. Best.box.ever! I love the coral bag, the artwork, everything! And even though I cannot comprehend the tassel trend, I LOVE that tassel necklace which for some reason. just looks totally aesthetic to me! Like someone finally got it right and I now understand tassel jewelry!

  13. Looks like my first Causebox is going to be awesome…I’m excited to receive it.

I love the necklace versatility and like all the different versions of bags.

The towel just screams summer. ❤️

  14. I will be looking to swap my tassel necklace for the earrings from the spring box if anyone is interested! Already on swaps.

  15. I think the value of this box (at least to me) is right up there with FFF, but something is off. First of all, can someone please tell me when this tassel trend is going to DIE? I think tassels ruin anything they touch (in this case, 2 of the items in the box) and once they’re over, tassel items will scream “last season.”

I love turkish towels and water bottles, but I’m pretty set on both (same with purses and necklaces, really). But why is one of the water bottle options metal (cool) while the other is plastic (ew)? I would be super disappointed if I got plastic.

This box is full of stuff I like, but don’t need due to other sub boxes sending the same items.

    • Ditto about the tassels, I’ve never been a fan of them. I will probably remove them from the purse and use the jewelry item as an accent on a purse or something. White tassels will get dirt looking pretty quick.

    • Ditto about the water bottles. I’m a monthly subscriber and got the plastic, so probably expect you will unless you got to pick.

    • Tassels have been around for thousands of years actually, they will probably never die. I think they will always be more of a timeless classic than ever “last season”.

  16. Love every item!

  17. Omg what a gorgeous box. I love the tassel necklace! It is something I never would have thought to pick out for myself which is why this box is so exciting. I love everything!

  18. I’m so glad I ordered 2 now. Ones to keep; ones to gift!! Love every single item!

  19. I really hope I get the pink stripe clutch! It’s so pretty…..but seeing it on Anna, it is much larger than I thought it would be. Lol

  20. This is my first box and I can’t wait to get it. I love everything, even the necklace. It’s so different and it’s something I would not pick out on my own. I have to say, both FFF and cause box killed it this season.

  21. My box is shipping today…just trying not to look at the contents lol. Apparently they had some shipping delays.

  22. Hey Anna – I’m curious if you think the tassel necklace could be used as a belt? Maybe to cinch a dress or kimono from the spring box?

  23. I love everything except that tassel necklace. It’s so pretty but just not my style.

    • It’s right on the line for me, but I do think that given its cute drawstring pouch, it’d be easy to gift to someone else. (I might take it off the card backing first, since the card has a coupon on it, but then it’s good to go!)

Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Nicole!

      • Hey Anna, do you think the necklace could be used as a belt? Maybe with a dress or the kimono from the spring box?

  24. What’s retail on the necklace? It’s definitely not my style and will be up for swap. Otherwise, good box overall.

    • I think it’s $68. All of the tassel necklaces on Kevia’s website are the same price, so I’m assuming this is the same?

      • Thank you!! I wish I liked it.

  25. Ok. This looks really awesome. I wish I could know I was getting athe stainless bottle, though. I really don’t like using plastic.

    • I’m so glad you commented on this, thank you! I assumed the bottle was glass (and that the “BPA free” description applied only to the lid) and was going to try to swap for it, but since I don’t like using plastic water bottles either I’ll let this one go.
