I´m very happy to receive skincare products but when I subsribed I thought it was makeup only box. I certainly am not complaining, I love a good mix of skin care and make up and these spoilers are very alluring to me.
I really want the Tarte mist beacuse I´m crazy in love with mists but I would not mind that Crown palette either.
Since these spoilers are out there before you even pay for the box then why complain?? In my country we dont have spoilers and we complain too;) But we rarely know what we are getting,it s an actual surprise box!
I almost love the fact that there are variations so these spoilers kind of dont ruin the surprise element for me.Yeah well, but I really want Dr Brandt eye cream so yes, I will be bummed if I dont get it,so yeah, this box is really good value anyways.

I 100% hear what you’re saying, but the value is only good if you can use the products. The usable value is what matters. If I could opt for both of the round 2 spoilers and neither of the round 1 spoilers I would be ok with this skin care heavy box, but that’s not how it works. I won’t use either the palette or the skin mist, but the farmacy and Dr Brandt would both address specific concerns that I have. It’s super frustrating for me and for many other ppl too.
I also subbed bc it was a predominantly makeup box. If this keeps up I’ll have to cancel 🙁

For 2 months in a row now Boxycharm has given almost the same exact products. If I don’t start seeing different products in Boxycharm I’m going to cancel. I wanted to start receiving one $21 box along with my $10 boxes and I chose Boxycharm because of the reviews but I’m Now wishing I would have chose Glossybox or lookfantastic box and I still might.

Finally an eyeshadow palette that I can use!! But why do they give so many eyeshadows?? Is it because they are cheap??

Ugh…Yet Another Eyeshadow Pallete. I cant wear eyeshadow as I am allergic, doesnt matter the brand…Fingers crossed I receive the TARTE Spray Mist I would love to try that but I of course always receive the variation I dont want…Really getting very tired of all these Eyeshadow Palletes I have been “gifting” them every single month but really wish I could receive a box that I could keep/use all the products for 1 month! I really would love if Boxycharm would at least consider including Other makeup products Such as Blush, Setting Powder, Contour/Highlight products, Mascara, brow products, Bronzer, Primer, Setting Spray, Some anti wrinkle/tightening/firming Skincare Items would be great…There is a lot of other universal products they could include in the boxes other than Eyeshadow/Lippies!!!! I am always super bummed when they do Eyeshadow AND Lipstick/Gloss as I cant/dont wear either… I would be absolutley thrilled to get more Blush! I think I have gotten 1 Blush the entire time I have been getting the box. I would love a new Setting powder or Bronzer…and I would love to get the Tarte Setting Spray this month! I wish they would include that item in Everyones box as its not fair for everyone receiving yet another eyeshadow pallete while some are going to get a new different product…It would be nice if they would take into consideration some are allergic and cant wear/use eyeshadow so to put it in every box, every single month is really unfair. Ugh…heres to hoping I receive the TARTE Setting spray 🤞

The Tarte stuff isn’t a setting spray, just to let you know.
Also, Boxycharm doesnt sound like the right sub for you imo.

I don’t want ANY Kat Von D items. I subscribe to Allure Beauty Box, and have recieved three items from that brand in my June box. I just don’t like KVD, and want nothing to do with her brand.

I subscribed to Boxycharm for makeup products NOT skin/hair products.

I am looking forward to the new expanded Boxycharm box coming in the Fall. I expect I will unsub from Allure and probably the regular Boxycharm & stick with the more expensive option.

I sincerely hope Boxy begins using our personal profiles when selecting items for our boxes. I really, really, REALLY hate getting items I just cannot utilize.

Ugh I hate when they do this variation crap with the main items. It is fine if you want to do an eyeliner variation or a liquid lipstick, but having the variation be between an eyeshadow palette or a setting spray is just odd. They aren’t equivalent to each other and people are going to be upset when they end up with one over the other. I personally am really hoping I get the tarte setting spray. I really want to try it. The palette looks like several I already have. If I don’t end up getting the setting spray and someone else does that doesn’t want it, I will definitely be willing to trade.

This says that the Fuego palette is worth $29.99, but on the Crown website, it says its worth £ 14.99, which is about $20…

T.Marie

Allure put me on Kat Von D overload as I’m getting both variations so, that’s not a spoiler I’m looking forward to.
And is there a chance some WON’T get a palette this month? *Gasp* I’m think I’m signing out…

I went with Boxycharm for 3 months because of the rave reviews but the palettes were annoying me because the colors are not useable (alot of them weren’t) and the other items were meh. I know it’s great value but like the one person said – if you’re not getting what you want or need why pay 21 each month to get a bunch of palette’s and highlighters/glitter that is not useable to me. I’m so far pretty happy with glossybox in the variety that they do and their boxes are beautiful. the only good thing about boxycharm boxes is if you get enough of them you can create a soundproofing room! lol

Jamie

Lol @ soundproofing!

Happy birthday! I totally understand what you mean. Since your psychic tho, I’d really love to know if you get that spray!!! Just messing with ya! Hope your bday was awesome. I just rolled up on 41 myself.🤘✌💙💟💙🤗

I’ll hold out for one more spoiler, but I’m leaning toward taking a Boxy break. June was my least favorite month and I’m realizing that no matter how good a value it is (because it really is, there’s just no denying that), it’s not valuable to me if I don’t love and use the products.

Reply ButtonReply

Jamie

Exactly! Even if the products have a retail value of $200 it’s not worth jack if none of them are usable. For June I personally liked the palette, brushes and lashes which made it a good box for me, but July isn’t looking like it’s going to be great. It reminds me of the galaxy box. Full of nice things but almost all things I couldn’t use myself.

Apologies if this has posted three times… is anyone having trouble with the boxycharm website? The password reset doesn’t appear to actually be sending the email to reset. Not in spam and doesn’t seem to change with using a different browser. Customer service hasn’t been super helpful in resolution. Just curious about other folks and if it’s more than just me.

Here we go with this variation crap again! There’s no way to make it fair and no way to please everyone. Why not keep doing what you’ve been doing the past few months and make it fair to everyone where we all get the same thing, with one SMALL exception.
As for skincare- this is a MAKEUP box and that is the WHOLE reason I, and many others, subscribe to it. It’s been that way since day one. If you are interested in skincare items, order a skincare subscription, such as beautyfix. Just my opinion….

MzBev

They have always had a skincare or haircare item possibility. I’ve been with them almost 3 years and have got plenty of non-make up items. They’re a beauty box – not make up box.

I agree with stopping the variations tho. They started getting bad with those about 2 – 2 1/2 years ago. I was glad these last couple of months that there weren’t that many and hoped they were going back to how it used to be. Guess not!

Lexana

I agree with this. I don’t mind getting skincare every so often, but so far this box has like 3 skincare items and one possible palette. I won’t mind for one box, but if it keeps going that way I’ll be upset. I wish people hadn’t kept complaining to the ONE makeup heavy box that they wanted skincare, they should have gotten a skincare box instead.

Jamie

The possibility doesn’t bother me. I’m fine with getting something universally usable every so often. The definitely getting skin and/or hair care every month does bother me a lot though.

Jamie

It’s my opinion too! Without personalizing the boxes a lot of ppl are going to be unhappy abt what they get skon care wise. I don’t want to add more steps or products to my routine so plain moisturizer without added benefits would be a dud for me.

Jayden

The problem I see is that those aren’t really equivalent unless if you get the tarte you get a palette as another cariation item but idk…

Vicky H

Ugh comment didn’t post… not going to retype it… short question… is anyone having issues with the password reset functionality on the boxycharm website?

Reply ButtonReply

Vicky H

Unrelated to thread BUT question for boxycharm folks. I can’t remember my password for boxycharm and I got signed out of my account. Uh oh! The password reset link doesn’t seem to be working. It doesn’t matter what browser I use. I have also been checking my spam folder for the last week! I contacted customer service who initially responded within an hour but then it was 24 hrs and now possibly 48 hrs between responses. They keep sending me the password reset link which isn’t working for me. Confession… I’ve forgotten my password before and the link worked fine without having to contact customer service. Is anyone else having this issue, specifically within the last week? I am hoping it’s their website and that they will get it fixed. Thanks!

Fantastiché! I’m excited

I think these are very unexciting products. Agree that the either/ or should at least be in the same category of products.

I have decided that it’s time for a break from Boxy.

Reply ButtonReply

Morgan

Not excited about the mist. It has really poor reviews which is troublesome. Would prefer the palette personally plus that is much easier to gift if I dont care for it.

CMG

I love the Tarte mist! Oftentimes I reach for it in place of my MAC Prep, Prime, Fix+.

Boxycharm is one of the best beauty subscriptions and it’s always worth my $21. I just wish when they did variants they were “semi” close to one another. I really want to try that setting spray (and I’m almost out of setting spray so it would be perfect timing ),but I’d also love to try that palette.
I’m really excited about two skincare items

Reply ButtonReply

Vicky H

I’d prefer the Tarte spray but not wild about either… I’m not a fan of tarte for the most part. I can’t remember where I got the deluxe sample, maybe ulta, but I have the spray. I actually use it on no makeup or makeup minimal days. It’s kind of soothing to the skin.

The palette is a huge miss for me. Thankfully there is always a woman’s or a children’s shelter (teen girls) in need! I try to make sure I giveaway (to a friend) or donate at least one thing from each box anyway.

Reply ButtonReply

Susan

The pallet, for sure! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Tarte stuff! However setting sprays don’t do a thing for me.
Also, the KVD stuff is way overrated. If I get another tattoo eyeliner I may scream. That stuff runs on me and gives me raccoon-eye within 20 minutes. I love a liquid liner (wear it everyday!), but it has to be super water/smudge proof. KVD doesn’t cut the mustard.
All that said, I can’t wait for more July spoilers!

Pink5

I’m kind of annoyed that it’s going to be either one or the other.

I much prefer color products to skincare.

Reply ButtonReply

Marilyn Holt

I would love the Pallete!

Reply ButtonReply

KW

I would prefer the mist, just because I have less of that. But I like both, the eyeshadow colors look nice, I have crown brushes, but haven’t ever tried their shadows before.
