BohoBabe June 2018 Review

BohoBabe welcomes you to your box with this Thank You card, the reverse side of which includes a packing list with listed values. Most of the items included each month are from BohoBabe's own online shop, but there are also a few items from other small businesses in the mix.

JaidenMadison LadyLike All Natural Lip Gloss — Retail Value $20.00

This shimmery pink lip gloss is made with all natural ingredients. Its consistency is a little thicker than I'm used to from glosses in a tube, but after dipping the applicator back in the tube a few times, I was in business. I don't often wear this shade of lip color, but for someone who loves getting fancied up and hitting the town, I imagine it would be gorgeous either on its own or topping another shade. It has no scent, and note that it has a shelf life of about 1 year due to its natural ingredients!

BohoBabe Floral Chiffon Kimono/Beach Cover Up — Retail Value $28.00

I thought this was going to be a lightweight, summery scarf when I found it folded up in my BohoBabe, but it's a whole kimono-style jacket! It's made from sheer chiffon and has a pretty, delicate cherry blossom print atop a sky blue hue. At first, I guessed that its pointed sides were meant to wrap and tie either in the front or the back, but that wasn't happenin' with my 6-month belly, haha. I now realize that the sides are just meant to add a nice flowy touch, though I'm sure if you really wanted to wrap it, you could find a way to make it work.

BohoBabe Natural Stone Chevron Earrings — Retail Value $24.00

These earrings are so unique! I love the way they aren't complete hoops, so all you really see when wearing them is the front wire and chevron accents hanging down. It looks like they're available in blue, purple, and gold colorways and I was happy to receive the gold due to their versatility. The materials are listed as "Semi-precious Stone & Zinc Alloy"...I'm not sure which stone I got or if the gold version even is a stone (it seems like metal to me), but either way I'm really into this pair.

BohoBabe Vegan Leather Tassel Keychain — Retail Value $16.00

This keychain's got a great aqua color that would add a summery pop to the handle of a bag or your keys. I like to keep my keys less cluttered, and I have the perfect loop on the crossbody strap of my bag to clip this to. I love how it looks!

PaperLoveBugs Cruelty-Free Hand Painted Feather — Listed Value $1.00

BohoBabe includes a gold-dipped feather in each month's box. I received a pale yellow feather in my first three boxes, so I'm pumped that they switched it up with this midnight blue one! The contrast against the gold is really striking. I might have to make this into an earring!

Bonus: The Tea Spot Meditative Mind Organic Tea x 2 — Buy 5-serving sampler here for $3.00

These two tea bags weren't noted on the packing list, but they're a welcome bonus! They're high-quality tea bags with white jasmine and rose leaves in them. It says on The Tea Spot's website that each bag can be steeped 2-3 times, which is something I often do with tea. The scent and flavor of this tea is faintly floral. I enjoyed a cup before bed!

The Verdict: I was happy with what I received in this month's BohoBabe box. The tassel has already made its way into my day-to-day and the earrings will definitely be put on regular rotation. What wasn't totally 'me' (the lip gloss and chiffon jacket) will be regifted to friends who I know will enjoy them. I'm always OK with passing a few items in sub boxes along to friends—it keeps the clutter down in my house, and it's fun to share little surprises with my gals! The contents of this month's box to add up to $89.00. I find that prices in BohoBabe's shop tend to be a little higher than what I might expect, but being what they are, it all adds up to an awesome value for a $39.99 per month (now with free US shipping!) box.
