At Last Bridal Box June 2018 Review

This first box is the same for every subscriber. For the following boxes, At Last Bridal Box curates items depending on where you are in your planning process.

This month, I received a few cards with my box: a hand-written note welcoming me, a card with a piece of planning advice, and an info card with the items along with the retail values.

Stemless Gold Rimmed Champagne Flute in Clear

Stemless Gold Rimmed Champagne Flute in Clear - Retail Value $16

It’s like At Last Bridal Box already knows me! I love champagne and I think it’s such a good idea to serve yourself a little treat while sitting down to plan. This stemless glass is clear with a gold rim and has a heavy bottom to prevent tippage. The glass has a good thickness too, so no worries about clinking and chipping.

Journal in Blush Floral - Retail Value $17.50

It’s always a good idea to keep a journal around to jot ideas down or to make to-do lists. This pretty floral journal is 5x7 inches and include 80 white lined pages. It has a gold ribbon to mark your place and an elastic band to keep it closed. I love the size – it’s small enough to through in my bag but big enough to make lots..and lots of lists. It seems to be a hobby of mine.

For writing in my new journal, a pencil and eraser are included.

Bride To Be Pencil

Bride To Be Pencil - Estimated Value $0.50 (buy 4 for $2.00)

The pencil is a very fitting white with "bride to be" stamped in the wood and has tiny bells on the end to remind me of wedding bells. I’ll probably drive anyone around me crazy with all of the tinkling sounds but I like them!

Cupcake Eraser -

Cupcake Eraser - Estimated Value $0.63 (buy 4 for $2.50)

I mean, aren’t miniature things so cute. Since the little bells are where an eraser would be on the pencil, I got an eraser for when plans change (which they will). 🙂

Gold-Rimmed Ring Dish in Black

Gold-Rimmed Ring Dish in Black - Retail Value $16

Every bride-to-be needs a ring dish! I put ring dishes everywhere – bathroom, vanity, kitchen, nightstand – because I’m always sliding my rings off to apply lotion. This little 4x4 inch, ceramic dish is rimmed with a shiny gold accent. It’s perfect for my nightstand and even doubles as a coaster.

Here it is with a ring for scale. Plenty of space for multiple rings or trinkets!

Bonus Goodie: Strawberry Rock Candy Stick

A perfect way to bring my blood sugar up after all of the planning and running around! Rock candy is so pretty and sparkly. And delicious! It would make such a festive treat at a bridal shower. I’ve have seen it used as stirrers for a sweet, decorative kick to cocktails or even after dinner coffee and tea.

Verdict: At Last Bridal Box served up a thoughtful selection of items that would be useful for a bride while planning a wedding. I’m all about a nice glass of champagne and think that a ring dish is a nice inclusion. The value of the items adds up to $50.63 which isn’t that much higher than the $41 cost of the box ($35 a month plus $6 shipping). While the items are cute and useful, they aren’t much different than items I could find at TJMaxx or Target. But, part of the value of this subscription is the access to a wedding planner to help with any questions a bride might have which can be super helpful when things get overwhelming. I’m looking forward to seeing how the boxes change to cater to the different stages of wedding planning and I’m hoping to see some more unique items that really make this box stand out.

So MSA is cool with you swapping items you got for free to review?

I agree the name is slightly offputting. I also feel like there should have been two champagne flutes, in case you wanted to use them at the wedding reception. I don’t know, it just feels like it needed one more item either related to pampering the bride or a wedding related idea. It also seems like it’s missing guidance type info, like the rock candy being a cute favor idea for kids or to use in reception cocktails.

I think this idea is cute, but the curation is lacking.

Aarjullor

Terrible name, way too spendy, and poorly curated.

I just can’t get past the name of this box. “At Last”? Sounds kind of…desperate.

Cee

I think it’s a reference to the song At Last since you hear that at so many weddings.
