YumeTwins April 2018 Review

You’ll receive a booklet with information on each item, contests, and kawaii culture. You can also access this information online. The theme for the month is “Easter Melody”!

Gudetama To Do List

Gudetama To Do List

I love stationery items, but I’ll be the first to admit they can sometimes get a little repetitive, which is why I was so excited to see this post-it pad with a purpose! Featuring Gudetama, this allows you to come up with a new to-do list whenever you want, and there’s an egg awaiting an oh-so-satisfying checkmark once the task is complete!

My Melody Sponges

My Melody Sponges

Every once in a while, I find an item where kawaii-cuteness intersects with practicality, and it makes me so happy. These sponges are so perfect to keep in my shower so I can keep things tidy in there while I’m washing my hair. I love the different colors and patterns, and the four-pack will keep me stocked for a nice long time.

Pote Usa Loppy Nail Polish Highlighter

Pote Usa Loppy Nail Polish Highlighter

There are two things I really love - office supplies and adorable things that look like other adorable things! This highlighter is amazing - it looks just like a bottle of nail polish. There were five different colors I could’ve received, but in my box was the yellow variety - nothing wrong with a classic!

Hoppe-chan Squishy

A major item theme in these boxes is usually some kind of squishy keychain, and this one is so cute! According to the pamphlet, Hoppe-chan is the first character squishy to appear in this box. As of a couple of years ago, Hoppe-chan was a pretty rare character that wasn’t very easy to find outside of Japan, so it’s really neat that it’s been included here.

Japanese Egg Boiler

These boxes keep surprising me - I would’ve never guessed that I’d receive a kitchen appliance in a subscription this month! All that’s required is hot water, and it allows you to take out the egg at any time, depending on the doneness that’s desired.  I absolutely love eggs any way I can get ‘em, so this is going to be prominently displayed on my counter so that I can easily boil up a pair!

My Melody Roll Plushie

I don’t know how they manage to squish these plushies into the boxes, but this one’s a great size! I consulted again with the pamphlet on this item and learned that this is the first-ever Sanrio plushie that’s been included in this box. The fur on this is so soft, and the shape is absolutely perfect for tossing on the couch to cuddle with, or tucking behind your neck for a nice nap.

Verdict: YumeTwins did an awesome job this month of having a fantastic theme and choosing items that really fit it well. Easter is certainly a time for bunnies and eggs, so the Gudetama and Melody characters were perfect picks. The egg boiler was the item in my life I didn’t know I needed, and I’m so excited to put those sponges to work. I love how the items are a wide variety of uses and types, so there’s always a surprise to be had!
