Crown Brush 12 Piece Vegan Brush Set - Listed Value $29.99, Retail Value $12

*I’m going with the value from the site. I’m not sure where the listed value is coming from.

Isn’t it crazy that you can get a 12pc brush set for $12?! I think this is a decent set of starter brushes for beginners. The handles have a nice feel and the bristles are soft, plus you get a vinyl brush roll to store them in. I’m used to more densely packed bristles and prefer that over this looser feel. I have some other higher end Crown brushes and use them daily.

Yes Oh Yas April 2018 - Bronzer Yes Oh Yas April 2018 - Bronzer Open

Bella Terra Mineral Bronzer in Sensual, 2g- Listed Value $24.99, Estimated Value $13.33 (Buy 9g for $59.99)

*I’m using the estimated value based on the size of what I found online.

Admittedly, I’m not a shimmer bronzer kind of gal, so I wasn’t very excited to see this. But, dusted onto my cheekbones on minimal makeup days, it actually looks really pretty. The bronzing effect is subtle and it’s just a bit glowy when applied with a fluffy brush and a light hand. It’s also gorgeous as a highlighter for the body when you’re feeling extra. $60 for the full sized jar seems steep though.

Yes Oh Yas April 2018 - Mascara Yes Oh Yas April 2018 - Mascara Detail

Manna Kadar Flutter Mascara in Jet Black, 10ml - Retail Value $29

I’ve tried this mascara before and it isn’t one I reach for. The color is very rich and makes my eyelashes look very dark, but I just don’t get the length I like. Clumping doesn’t seem to be an issue and if you like a BIG wand, this might be worth a try. I find the curves of the wand difficult to wiggle into my lash line. Subscribers could have also received the Manna Kadar Lash Extending Primer instead of this.

Yes Oh Yas April 2018 - Eyeliner Yes Oh Yas April 2018 - Eyeliner Detail

Girlactik Beauty Mechanical Eyeliner in Grey, .35g- Retail Value $19

This liner is waterproof and smudge proof and the unique angle of the pencil always gives you a sharp line. It lasts all day and I like the powdery look of this grey shade. It looks nice paired with a neutral pink eyeshadow and isn’t as stark as black.

Yes Oh Yas April 2018 - Swatches

Swatches of the bronzer and the eyeliner. I swiped a couple layers on each to show the colors, but they can be toned down and blended out.

Excuse the post-shower updo but I hadn’t gotten myself motivated to diffuse my hair yet...story of my life. Here I’ve dusted the bronzer onto my cheekbones, forehead, and down my nose to create a subtle glow. I didn’t add any other highlighter or bronzer because I wanted the one-and-done effect. I lined my top lid with a thin swipe of the grey eyeliner and dotted it on my lower lash line to give some subtle definition. Doesn’t it look nice with the pinky-nude shade of eyeshadow? Lastly, I applied one good coat of the mascara.

Verdict: This month’s Yes, Oh Yas! has a value of $73.33. The past few months have had such high values, I didn’t know how they did it for $14.99 plus shipping. This month’s value is lower and the listed values for some of the items seemed off. Aside from that, I was happy with the products. The brush set will be great for someone starting out with makeup and though I don’t love the mascara, it isn’t bad. I do like the liner and the bronzer and will definitely use those. This subscription seems to vary a lot in the products they include, so I’m excited to see next month’s curation.

Yes, I seriously hateee all of Manna Kadar’s cosmetics! They are seriously the worst! Wet N Wild has better quality then that brand! I don’t know how they can even sell their products!
