Rose War Panty Power May 2018 Review

Here's this month's welcome card. I like that they check off everything that's included in the box! Last months didn't have any check marks, so it was cool to know that they were on top of their game this time around.

Seventh Generation Organic Cotton Tampons, Regular — Buy a 20-pack of regular size for $6.99, found here for $6.64)

This month, just like last month and months before that, I received a cute bundle of natural tampons. This time around, I also received pads! These were made by Seventh Generation, which is a brand I see often when shopping at Target. The total count was six Regular tampons, six Super tampons, and two light-absorbancy pads, all wrapped up with a cute bow. Each has cardboard applicators and braided string, and they were accompanied by a lengthy information pamphlet!

Vision Intimates Sporty Thong – Estimated Value $5.00

Now, for the undies! Rose War Panty Power sends two pairs of underwear bundled up in a cute bag each month. This was the first pair, by Vision Intimates. I was unable to find the exact pair, so I estimated their value based on bulk, 12-pack sales of similar pairs of their underwear.

I'm not a huge fan of sporty thongs like these. If I wear thongs, they gotta be light, airy, and made of lace, I say! This one wasn't too comfortable to wear, but its overall look was okay.

Playboy Intimates Hi-Cut Underwear — Estimated Value $7.00

Oof. I did not love these Playboy undies, either. They were so thin, but somehow still felt like a bathing suit! The material is very latex-y and smooth, which allows for very little chance of panty lines, so that's a plus, I guess. Their overall look and color weren't for me.

Thistle Moon Drops Liquid Highlighter – Retail Value $15.00

I was SO excited to receive this! I've dabbled in the art of highlighter before and am always looking to master it more or get a better sense of which products work for me. Before I get into how this worked out, I will say: this bottle should come with a warning to OPEN SLOWLY. It's very thin liquid, and the moment you pull the stopper out of the bottle it flies everywhere! It was a bummer because I lost a lot of good amount of highlighter simply by opening it up.

To apply, you can simply drop a few drops directly on your cheekbones or onto a stippling brush to lightly blend into your skin for a natural, dewy glow. Or, you can mix a few drops in with your foundation or moisturizer for all-over radiance. There are so many possibilities! I applied this highlighter after my normal moisturizing routine and it gave me a very, very light glisten on my cheekbones.

Almíne Professional Blending Sponge – Buy a pack of 6 for $30.98

I used this wonderful sponge to gently apply the highlighter! I've used blending sponges before and loved them, so I was so excited to finally have one of my own. This has a great ergonomic shape that allows for effortless application at delicate angles. It's so soft, and gets under the eyes and around the nose so easily!

PrettyHonest Eucalyptus Spearmint Candle – Buy an oz. candle for $18.00

I was able to locate this being sold on Etsy! It's an all-natural, eco-friendly, clean-burning soy candle with a cotton wick. Getting a whiff of its Eucalyptus Spearmint scent was wonderful when I first opened the candle, but once I started burning it, it smelled a bit too much like cleaning products. I think eucalyptus is just a synonymous smell to natural cleaning products for me! The candle itself was very beautiful and well-made.

Raw Blood Orange + Tangerine Lip Balm – Retail Value $14.99

This was another all-natural product, which I so appreciated! Raw Lip Balm makes handmade, small-batch balms with a great variety of flavor combinations. This one's blood orange and tangerine scents went wonderfully together! It's made from beeswax, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, sunflower seed oil, cocoa butter, Jojoba oil, shea butter, mango butter, olive oil, natural vitamin E oil, tangerine peel oil, and blood orange peel oil.

Can lip balm get any better than that? This left my lips feeling so serenely smooth.

Couque D'Asse Vienna Coffee Cookie - Buy a 10.16 oz. box for $12.20

Crown White Heim White Hazelnut Cookie – Retail Value $20.00

And, for the bonus treats that come with Rose War Panty Power Boxes each month: I received two fancy wafer desserts. One was Vienna Coffee flavored, and the other was White Hazelnut.  The outer wafer is angelically light and flaky, and the inside is filled with rich, flavorful sweet cream. The Vienna Coffee was my favorite, but these would both be great with coffee!

Verdict: Last month's box felt extremely luxurious and had an amazing value, so this month's box felt a bit ho-hum in comparison. The two pairs of underwear I received could have been higher in quality, or at least a little more decorative and fun to wear. I was happy to receive the two makeup products I did—especially since I'll be able to use the blending sponge again and again. As I said last month, I could do without the dessert treats. I get that they play into the "time of the month" theme, but I think it'd be awesome to receive slightly higher quality items in place of tiny sweets!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the May box. From Rose War Panty Power:

Your box will ship between the 26th - 3rd of every month. Please order by the 1st to get the current box.

Value Breakdown: This box cost $29.20 total with shipping, which means that each of the 8 items in the box (wafer desserts counted as one item) has an average cost of $3.65.

I just received my box. Not even half the products as advertised. The panties were cheaply made, and not true to size. Too small. And there’s dirt or a stain on a pair. Horrible.

Well I love this box.
I was a member since January.
I am a size 2XL and all of the undies came true to size.
Also, the pads are great. Its 100% organic made in Korea. I did some research

I’ve used their 50% off code before and received a great box it was a while back so maybe they’ve just started sending low value boxes since then.

I tried one box and wasn’t impressed at all. The $ .99 store carries better underwear….NO JOKE and the pads/tampons weren’t good either. Everything in my box went to the trash. Dont waste your money even if its half off.

This box is a scam. The sizes run too small, the so called organic pads had Asian language words written all over and you don’t get all the products when you apply the coupon. Terrible & low quality.

If you use the 50% off code don’t expect a full box. It will not contain the usual amount of items, at least this was my experience. I also didn’t get what I specified I preferred. It was a total letdown for me overall.
