POPSUGAR Must Have Box Summer 2018 Review + Coupon

This post may contain referral/affiliate links. If you buy something, MSA may earn a commission. Read the full disclosure.

POPSUGAR Must Have is a lifestyle subscription box for women. Each season they send a mix of items from categories like beauty, fashion, food, fitness, and home.

(POPSUGAR recently switched from monthly to quarterly, and this is their first ever quarterly box!)

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: POPSUGAR Must Have

The Cost: $75 a box

COUPON: Use coupon code MUSTHAVE5 to save $5 off your first box.

The Products: “Must Have” items for women selected by POPSUGAR editors. (Fitness, Home, Beauty, Food, and more)

Check out all of my POPSUGAR Must Have reviews and the Women’s Subscription Box Directory!

Each box comes with a booklet detailing the items included, and a letter from Lisa Sugar:

This box is centered around the theme of self-care and a spa day at home.

And POPSUGAR also included a card with coupons for the brands featured in the box:

Now, on to the items!

Eberjey Wrap Robe – Retail Value $88

This robe was available in S/M (up to size 8) and L/XL (Size 10-18) and XXL (Size 20 and up). The fabric is 100% Rayon, and so very soft. Here is the S/M on:

I love the navy piping accent with the pale pink color. The robe has an inner tie to keep it in place, too:

As you can tell from the pictures, this fabric is somewhat sheer. Perfect for a summer weather robe!

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum – Value $85

This serum is designed to “fight the look of dullness, dark spots, and discolorations, while instantly increasing brightness, radiance, and luminosity.” The cream formula has a light citrus scent (which I love), and it instantly helped give my skin a boost of hydration.

I’ve sampled this before thanks to a few other subscription boxes, and after using it for months I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my skin – I’m happy to have more!

Mela Artisans Concha Round Box – Retail Value $60

This wooden round box features a stunning mother of pearl lid:

I was hoping POPSUGAR would send a home item in this spa/self-care themed box, and they delivered! I love that this would work in the bathroom or really any other room in the house!

The bowl measures about 5 inches in diameter. Here is a picture to give you a better sense of scale:

This is a quality piece – definitely one of my favorites in the box.

Lele Sadoughi Circle Garland Earrings – Retail Value $98

These earrings measure about 1/2″ diameter and 3″ long.

These earrings are inspired by confetti (so pretty) and they are made from natural stone and resin, connected by 14K gold plated rings.

Here is Marne modeling them for us!

(One thing to call out – I believe everyone is getting these earrings, there is no non-pierced ear version of the box.)

Beauty by POPSUGAR Be the Boss Lip Gloss – Retail Value $18

POPSUGAR recently launched a new beauty line, so I was expecting to see something from their brand in a future box!

This lip gloss formula is free of parabens, mineral oils, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, and gluten. Plus it is vegan and cruelty-free!

The formula is pretty much everything I want in a gloss. A sheer color, a natural looking shine, and not too sticky. (And bonus points for having a Crème Brulee flavor!)

Here it is swatched:

Also, I always appreciate getting lippies in summer boxes that are OK for hot weather in my purse – no melting lipstick issues here.

(The box also included an info card about the new Beauty by POPSUGAR line.)

Sphynx 3 in 1 Portable Razor – Retail Value $14.99

This is a portable razor designed to go in your car, purse, gym bag, etc. – whenever you might need to shave and not have a shower + your regular razor and shaving cream ready!

Here’s how to use it. First, spray the area you need to shave with water:

(You’ll need to fill this with water when you first get it.)

Next, rotate the center dial to the moisturizing shave bar and apply it to the area you’ve sprayed with water:

Lastly, click to the razor side, and you’re good to shave:

And there’s an additional backup razor blade, too:

FYI – this isn’t designed to replace your regular razor blade, instead, it’s intended for quick touch ups and on the go shaving. I think it’s such a smart idea, and I love the design, too. Plus I’ve started the process of laser hair removal, so I no longer have to shave every day (life changing!) and this is perfect for touchups when needed!

Ahmad Tea Fruit & Herb Selection – Retail Value $4.50

As a several-cups-a-day tea drinker, I’m always happy to see in a subscription box. (Not sure if I’m in the minority on that, though!)

These are all-natural caffeine-free blends.

Peppermint & Lemon
Peppermint leaf, Lemon peel, Natural lemon flavor

Chamomile & Lemongrass
Chamomile leaf, Lemongrass

Lemon & Ginger
Lemon peels, Ginger, Apple, Lemongrass, Quinces, Hibiscus

Detox
Dandelion, Fennel, Birch leaves, Ginger, Rosemary, Peppermint, Nettle, Sweet blackberry leaves

As a lover of lemongrass and peppermint flavor teas, all these worked for me. I think the Peppermint & Lemon is my favorite, though.

Mrs. Meyer’s Lemon Verbena Bar Soap – Retail Value $3.99

I use Mrs. Meyer’s Multi-Surface Cleaners daily, so it was about time I tried their soap.

This gives you a creamy lather and works for hands and body. Just like their cleaning products, the scent is pretty strong with this soap.

Mrs. Meyer’s Lavender Hand Sanitizer – Retail Value $3.49

This item is a Special Extra from POPSUGAR and Mrs. Meyer’s. (It is not counted toward the total retail value of the box.)

I always have a hand sanitizer in my purse, and I may switch to this brand after sampling it. The spray goes on light and absorbs almost immediately. (And I love the lavender scent.)

Propel Watermelon Beverage Mix – 10 packets Retail Value $1.98

This item is a Special Extra from POPSUGAR and Propel. (It is not counted toward the total retail value of the box.)

This mix is sugar-free (it’s made with sucralose), zero-calorie, and designed to add electrolytes and vitamins to your water. I liked the flavor (think Watermelon Jolly Ranchers), and I typically buy electrolyte water for heavy-sweating workouts, so I’ll add these to the mix as an alternative.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $372.48 (not counting the special extras). I think the value here is great, and what I would hope for in a $75 box from POPSUGAR. To be honest, when I first saw everything in the box, I wasn’t sure how all the items all fit the self-care/spa theme of the box. (The Lipgloss and earrings both seem like Girls Night Out theme to me). But I actually love everything, so I’m OK with the theme not connecting to every item perfectly. (Plus the robe, serum, and earrings are from high-end brands and each worth more than the cost of the entire box!)

I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect from the first $75 POPSUGAR Box, and it seems like a good balance between the past monthly boxes, and the Limited Edition boxes. A mix of some lower price point brands that would have been at home in the monthly box, and some pricey luxe brands that we’d only see in the Limited Edition boxes.

I’m still sad that we don’t get POPSUGAR every month, but I’m loving this box, and I’m already excited to see what will be in the fall box!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today?  No, right now it looks like the Fall box will be your first box when you sign up. When you click “Subscribe Now” on the POPSUGAR site, the box your subscription will start with will be highlighted.

Coupon – Use coupon code MUSTHAVE5 to save $5

Value Breakdown: At $75 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Robe: $17.71
  • Serum: $17.11
  • Earrings: $19.73
  • Bowl with Lid: $12.08
  • Lip Gloss: $3.62
  • Tea: $.90
  • Soap: $.80
  • Razor: $3.02

  1. I am happy with the robe and the Sunday Riley. I went ahead and cancelled any future boxes. A bit let down. I think I got my hopes too high thinking that the bath caddy would be in this box, and that the items would be more Spa related. Guess I’ll just go by that on my own and save myself $75 a quarter.

  2. This box is okay…I’ll use most of it. Not exactly what I was expecting from their 1st quarterly box though. A lot of us got the Sunday Reilly in a $15 sub box, so it doesn’t really scream luxe in a $75 box.

I have no words for those earrings…seriously how are they worth $98? I agree with Am2 that they looked childish (definitely not luxe). They are resin discs and jump rings that I could make just as easily at home. Maybe I need to start selling the jewelry I make!

I’ll list them for swap, but from the comments it sounds like those earrings will be sitting in my closet next to the popsugar book for eternity. And what’s worse is that it’s the most expensive item in the box!

I’m hoping they take this feedback and knock our socks off with the fall box or sadly, I might have to say goodbye Popsugar….

    • A very similar pair of earrings by the same designer are listed on the Nordstrom website for $145!!! I think they could work with a simple outfit {simple white tee, jeans and a statement shoe….) or a one color maxi dress.

      • I also think the model’s (lovely) necklace detracts from the look of the earrings. I would not wear a necklace with such bold earrings.

Make it work, ladies!!!! That is the fun of these boxes: getting things you might not buy, but making them work within your taste…

    • I make jewelry and I’m planning on taking those earrings apart and making 3 pairs. LOL

      • I had the same thought. I’m going to take them apart and make a pair of earrings and a matching bracelet, then I think I’ll be able to wear them.

    • Agreed. I’m a bit let down myself. I enjoyed the monthly ones and was upset that they decided to stop that but I had hoped they would make it so worth it we wouldn’t even think about those past boxes. Now we have to pay $75 for things that are just ok. I just expected more. I feel like fabfitfun does a better seasonal box. I’m going to give it one more chance .

    • Hi! My sister loves the earrings and didn’t get the box so I am trying to swap or buy a pair would you be interested?

  3. Not worth $75!

    • Nope

    • SO dissapointed! This is NOT worth $75 Had SUCH high hopes for this first box. These earrings are a nightmare since I only wear studs…the robes looks so cheap…a SANITIZER? Lipgloss? Thought they went quarterly to provide more quality stuff? This is worse than the monthly boxes. I will give it one more shot and if I am not wowed I will be cancelling.

  4. Hey Liz, do you know by chance when is this box supposed to ship?

    • I got my shipping email yesterday if that helps!

      • Thank you!!!

  5. Nothing there for me – I’m so bummed! I just cancelled my subscription. And I used to love the monthly boxes.

  6. This is disappointing for the first quarterly box. The only thing I like is the box 🙁 this is definitely not worth $75

  7. I might be one and done at this price point. Very disappointed which Is unexpected since I usually love their limited edition boxes. The items are for different clients and not cohesive (I sound like Tim Gunn right now). Those earrings are only going to work for ppl who 1) have pierced ears (which is eliminating some subscribers why not give an option? And 2) ppl with pierced ears who like long statement earrings. Feels like such a let down.

    • It’s also eliminating people with gold allergies. 100% the reason I’m having to cancel most of my boxes right now. Metal allergies are rare, but gold is the second highest one.

      • The posts are surgical steel!

  8. Marne’s face says it all. (Beautiful face, that is) I’ve gone through 4 of the 5 stages of grief and I hope I get to acceptance. This box is horribly underwhelming….those earrings….the robe is fine but not entirely practical. Soap and hand sanitizer? None of this says spa day or self care. I’m not sure what it says. Maybe it says haha sucka-thanks for the 75 wasted bucks?

    • Lol

    • I agree. Thanks for making me laugh! I enjoyed their monthly boxes more than this. I could have gone to the drugstore’s sample section if I wanted any of this stuff. I think I’ll cancel!

  9. What color/shade is the lipgloss?

    • It looks like Time After Time

  10. I had high hopes for this box, especially being the debut. Alas it is a big miss for me. I’ve been loyal to PSMH for years and live the summer LE box, but this doesn’t do anything for me. I’d much rather have 3 monthly boxes for the same price (with discount). And those earrings?!? Seriously? I’m angry I paid $19+ for them. I’d rather have 10 boxes of tea 😆. Anyway, after all these years, it’s time to call it quits and break up. You just don’t excite me like you used to.

    • Yes, I feel like you took the words out of my mouth. While I’m happy to receive some of the items, others just leave me confused and underwhelmed. The earrings are just like……What? No thank you.

  11. I am really excited about ALL THE ITEMS! A+++++

  12. Dear popsugar,
Those are the largest and ugliest earrings I have ever seen, and I lived through the 80s. We are breaking up.

    • Amen sister

    • I’m with you ladies! I’m over PS. I’m going to pick a replacement subscription but I can’t make up my mind. Any suggestions?

      • Cause box and FabFitFun always blow my mind

      • Take a look at Margot Elena. I breezed right by it twice because of the name..but when I looked at the actual products my mind was blown. Beyond value and beautiful products

        • I haven’t received my Popsugar box yet so don’t know if I keep it, but I agree about Margot Elena. My favorite quarterly box right now!

      • I suggest FabFitFun I use to do popsugar box and felt like the items were not worth the subscription price and felt very random. try it im telling you that it wont go wrong

        • I subscribed to fff a week or so ago. My editors box is on the way and of course I’m very excited for the summer box! I only received TWO ps boxes. That cured me of the FOMO! I received the last monthly box and the first quarterly box. I think I’ll love FFF so much I subscribed for a year. Thank goodness I was only monthly with ps. (Which of course changed to qtrly right after I started with them)

    • Right? I’ve got a clean out bag coming from thredup. They’re now accepting Jewelry. Maybe I’ll get .40 or .50 for them ……. I don’t even know ANYONE (my friends/family) that I could even gift these hideous earrings to!!! Thinking my 2nd psmh box will be my last! Glad I signed up to fff today. Appears that’s more “my style “!

      • I would love to have the earrings. I am a minority I guess

        • Yes. I guess you are in the minority’. Sadly. Well be checking thredup. Lol. There may be ALOT of them for sale soon!😉☹️

    • Lol. They look edible. Some toddler is going to try and eat them. They are absolutely ugly.

      • My first thought was that they looked like Brach’s jelly bean nougats.lol

  13. Oh god. I can’t believe I spent $81 on this! I could have used that money on fff ad ons. This box is terrible and everything is way over priced! Goodbye popsugar, I won’t miss you!

  14. So disappointed in this box… I thought for their first box they would of knocked it out of the park. Not to me… We already received the Sunday Rieley from Allure, so that’s a disappointment, the razor I have as it was on their Xmas list, and I bought it. I have Mrs. Meyers products, I’m sorry but I don’t need more trinket boxes. The only thing I’m really glad about is the robe. Hope they do a much better job next quarter or I’m out.

  15. I liked the monthly popsugar, but was never fond of their LE boxes, so I suspect this box is going to be a miss for me from now on. I guess people are either PS or FFF. FFF isn’t perfect either, but I find the items at least useful, and I love most of them. And I don’t pay attention to the RV for any sub box. They are all nonsense. They might be true retail, but I don’t think anyone in their right minds actually pays those retail prices. 🙂

  16. It looks like a nice box! I ended up canceling after the Sunday Riley spoiler since everything SR makes me break out (the dyes!), but I hope everyone who is getting it is happy. I miss the monthly boxes!

  17. I’m excited for the bowl and Sunday Riley and least excited for the tea and the earrings. Just by the looks of it I’d say it’s a $50 box.

  18. This box is pretty much a total miss for me. I love lavender, so I will use the sanitizer :(. I never order the summer special edition boxes, so this is not really a surprise, but I had nine credits, so i was pretty much stuck. I hope the Fall box is better. It usually is more to my taste, so I am hopeful. I am going to go ahead and put most of this up for swap to try and clear it out.

    • Where can you swap things?

      • There’s a buy/sell/trade group on Facebook for sub boxes.

      • On this site — sign up in the swap section.

  19. Robe covers the box price, so I am ok with it 🙂 I’m hoping next box is maybe designer sunglasses, the NEW glitter face masks!!!!

  20. Oh dear. It is a sad day in Popsugarville when the only exciting item for me is a $4.50 box of decaf tea.

  21. ☹️for a $98 rv item, definitely wish it would’ve been something to do with the at home spa theme. That is definitely not MY style. But I know many other ppl will love them and that’s great-for them. Wish with an item so taste specific/high rv – we would’ve been given a choice. Most of the other items I think I’ll like. I just signed up for fff today. I will compare the two and by Jan will decide which to hang on to and which to toss

  22. The robe paid for the box, so I am ok with it. I hope the next one has designer sunglasses, the NEW glitter face masks!!! and Ext.

  23. I’m definitely not having FOMO right now, I’ll stick with my FFF at almost half the price of this one.

  24. I love the Sunday Riley and that alone is $85! Everything else is gravy! Totally worth it. Love this, wish I could subscribe.

  25. Well I’m disappointed in this one, although glad there’s no sea salt spray. haha. The robe is ok but the earrings are pretty terrible – especially that they are so long. yikes! I like the lid of the bowl but not the base. Sunday Riley is always good…the rest is ok filler I guess.

I’ll be glad if it continues this way – easier to cancel. Seeing that they dropped this change on subscribers pretty suddenly, and imo a little underhandedly, I feel like they should have done better here.

  26. I tried to cancel and kept having trouble getting a reply. My card was charged $79.99 so I’m thinking there may have been tax or shipping added. They are sending the wrong sized robe, which I am currently going back and forth with them about. I need a small. I absolutely HATE the earrings. Basically, for $80, I do not care for this box at all. I have that full size Sunday Riley from Allures $15 box. Sorry to be a downer but I’m a bit frustrated at the moment.

    • I’m with you first box and I was super excited sent me the wrong size robe too I too need a small and the Sunday Riley is coming in my Allure 15.00 box that I also recieve monthly Vogue included into that price Si now I’m going back and forth with them!!! If Fall doesn’t improve I’m fine I love FFF

      • I just subscribed to fff today. I think I’ll cancel psmh box after this box. And this is only my 2nd box. But fff looks to be more my taste. Which one (if either) do you seem to like the best?

        • I love fff and have been a subscriber for a couple of years. This was my first popsugar box and I am disappointed. I canceled my subscription. In my opinion there is no comparison to FFF.

          • I feel the same way! I just canceled ps. I could have used that $81 on fff add ons!

  27. The earrings are actually 3 inches long.

    • Oops! Typo on my part. Thank you!

  28. I’m glad to see that some ladies prefer FFF, that’s great! Personally I had it for a year and was generally unhappy with the style and quality of everything except beauty. So I am out of FFF and am happy with this PS quarterly box.

    • Me too Michelle, that’s why it’s good that there are choices. I didn’t like FFF Spring box and my winter boxes were mostly donated. I didn’t t say it was a crappy box it just isn’t the box for me.

The comparison of FFF & PS seems odd especially after receiving a FFF box with $128 value taken by a choker and Doucce palette that I can’t see anyone buying at MSRP.

FFF includes their brands in boxes all the time too

  29. I think i’m most excited about the tea. I’ll probably use the robe and maybe the trinket dish. Just not what I was expecting… Oh well.

  30. On the fence about the new set up. I agree, it’s geared more towards the LE boxes. I will ride out the rest of this annual subscription and see how it goes. I don’t have pierced ears, so I’m sitting at strike one right now. Fingers crossed that the Fall box knocks my socks off.

  31. Was expecting more from this box with the price increase and all. Not impressed. I am only getting the Summer box because I had some unused credit. After this – I’m canceling. It’s not worth $75, at least to me.

  32. I’m thinking that my earrings might be modified into a pair of two-stone earrings and a matching bracelet — it looks like that might work.

    • I like that idea!

      • I too think the earrings would have been a win with one or two of the stones – love the cute box and Sunday Riley – hoping the robe fits as I was right between the s/m and l/xl … good but not quite as expected 😉

    • If you end up doing that, can you post pics in the forum, and maybe a how-to guide? I was thinking single stone earrings, 4 on a necklace, six on a bracelet….

      • Single stone won’t work. Well, actually it would but the bracelet would be missing the bottom one from each since they don’t have holes on both sides. If you do two stone earrings you don’t have to modify any stones, just the chains….

      • Cancelled did not expect to receive as it was supposedly sold out. Doubt those earrings can be swapped and cant think of anyone i would dare gift them to.

      • Will do. The piece with the post has a hole in the bottom so that will pair with the last stone that has only a hole at the top. I will use the center stones with holes on both sides for the bracelet adding two or four same-size jump rings as spacers in between. A trip to the bead store and a pair of needle nose pliers will fix ’em.

    • Repurposing the earrings? Perhaps bingo markers, or backgammon pieces? Nah, I’ve already spent too much time on those earrings only having read the review.

    • That’s my plan. They look like they should be easy enough to adjust. I actually like the look, just not the length.

  33. I was so worried I was gonna have FOMO, but I’m feeling pretty great right now. Popsugar would do well to allow certain items to be customizable or to have an couple of different options ala FabFitFun. While I’m thrilled that they were size inclusive with the robe, not everyone has pierced ears and since that’s the highest value item in the box, not everyone will be happy here. I also feel like the lip gloss shouldn’t be added to the value of the box since it’s a branded item so it’s extra promotion for them, but that’s just me. I’ll probably wait another box or 2 to see if they get better before I decided on subscribing.

    • Me too! Them selling out so quickly actually saved me $75 and disappointment.

  34. I’m excited about the robe. I guess my $75 is well spent since the robe alone would be $88 if I went out and bought it. The Sunday Riley serum is nice as well, I got one in my Allure box and enjoy it. Everything else is ok, but I don’t like the earrings. Even if I had pierced ears, they’re not my style. I also think that Fabfitfun is hitting it out of the park, and for $25 less per quarter.

  35. I think. I am Popsugars target demographic even though sometimes its a bit young, but there is no sense in getting old 😉 and i Couldnt afford these brands when i was a student or young stay at home mom. Now I can.

I love almost everything they send. And i have purchased full price of so many of the brands i discovered in Popsugar.
I just think this box. Is gorgeous. I will use that beautiful bowl for my contacts i think.
I miss the monthly boxes, too. But. I am trying the text shopping thing they have.

I think the earings. Would be. Great peeking out from a great blow out. And some heels.

    • I agree!!!! Loving the robe to wear as I put my make up on 🙂

  36. I feel like the earrings were included to match their Beauty line marketing based on the included insert or at least that’s the impression I’m getting from the colors and design.

  37. That robe looks very, very sheer so glad I did not get the box . I was tempered for the robe but think I dodged a bullet.

  38. Do we know when this will ship?

    • Some have shipped others are processing to ship. We’ve had a couple of forum members get their boxes already.

  39. This is a very taste specific box…thankfully it suits mine well, but I can see how many will be disappointed in this. I will use each and every single item in this box.

  40. I am here for all of these items! As a subscription junkie, I recently moved and realized I had a LOT of dupes – I have masks, moisturizers, eye creams, sea salt sprays, etc. gaLORE! I can practically open an Ulta in my bathroom. So I am relieved to see items I can use and use up. I am subbed for a year with PS so I’m excited to see what’s coming up next!

  41. This’ll be my first popsugar box and I’m psyched! Shipping today from NY to MA!!

  42. Excited about everything except the lavender scent and I’m on the fence about the earrings. Otherwise fabulous box!!!

  43. I like everything but the earrings since I can’t use them, they aren’t my style and I still don’t understand what they have to do with the spa theme. I’m bummed they are such a big chunk of the retail value too. I wish sub box companies would always offer alternate options for those without pierced ears…I always feel left out or like I wasted my money.

    • Agree! My sister was the lucky recipient of many pairs of lovely earrings from all my sub boxes the past few years. They should offer a clip-on converter at least. But then, I feel similarly about coffee & tea. I drink neither, yet sub boxes think everyone does. Oh, to always be the outlier. 😅

      • My sister-in-law gets most of my earrings. Lol. I canceled Box of Style after they did 2 pairs of earrings within 3 boxes….hopefully PSMH starts more customization like FFF or at least lets people customize the “important” things. If not I might have to cancel them too…

  44. In my opinion i honestly see FabFitFun doing a lot better with their seasonal boxes then Popsugar….Some of the items in the box were nice some were ok,and I do not like the earrings at all….If I only had the money for one seasonal box,I would have to go with FabFitFun….Right now I can afford both,so I will give Popsugar two mote chances with the Fall and winter box….Hopefully with this being their first seasonal box, they will improve,we shall see.

    • I’ve been thoroughly disappointed with most of the jewelry in FFF’s boxes for the last year or more.
For me I have to determine if a box has value to me based on the items I use and keep and I’ll use and keep all but one item that I may possibly gift to my mom.

FFF seemed like a great value until I went through & listed the number of items t I’ve been gifting and donating from each box. FFF had a Doucce palette valued at $70 in the winter box that I received two of and couldn’t give one of the two away new. They also had the choker in the same box valued at $58. The earrings from PS included are sold in Nordstrom

      • What Anna said. Totally agree.

      • I agree with Anna & Michelle

  45. Glad I didn’t purchase this. Still sad the monthly is gone, I loved getting those every month! Hope those that bought enjoy 🙂

  46. Love this box! Can’t wait to get mine!

    • Me too! Especially the artisan bowl, the earrings, tea and the lip gloss lol look out swapper!

  47. I scrolled ever so slowly to see what’s in my box and it did not disappoint. I love everything in the box. My favorites are the mother of pearl bowl with lid and the Sunday Riley Serum, since I just ran out of my last one. Thank you for the wonderful review.

  48. Wow! I really like the robe. The Sunday Riley is a definite plus for me because I wanted to try it and hadn’t had a chance. The earrings aren’t really me and I don’t see how they fit with the theme of the box. However, all in all it’s a good box. I just expected more from them because this was the first one.

    • I’m sorry. The more I think about this- A Spa Day at Home, Self Care! They set the theme. Where are the candles, bath bombs, gels, masks? This is a theme that they could have ran with.

      • Totally agree!! Earrings and lip gloss do not at all match the theme. Any jewelry at all seams like an odd choice. However so many ‘spa day at home’ items (candles, nail polish, masks, Lotions, towels, etc) have been done to death in sub boxes so I can see why they steered away from them. It must be getting tricky for sub boxes to stay fresh and interesting these days.

      • Exactly!

  49. hmmm. I think I’m going to miss the monthly boxes. I don’t think the new set up will work out for me and I’ll be so sad to say bye to popsugar! I really do hope this box does work out for others! I think maybe the customers who liked the limited edition boxes may like this set up- I just really loved the monthly boxes.

Thanks for the review! I’ve been waiting to see what the first new box would offer.

    • This is exactly how I feel. I was hoping to be wowed. But sadly, no. I am missing the monthly box.

    • I feel the same. I will have to cancel.

    • You couldn’t of said it any better. I agree.

  50. Meh. Personally I think a wooden bowl with a brush including a clay mask would have been a better idea. Also, the earrings feel a bit childish/playful to me.

    • Yeah those earrings are where they lost me. Blanche from the Golden Girls??

      • Love Blanche! 🙂
