Each month there's a theme and you'll receive cards and/or a paper accessory that goes along with it. May is "Nom Nom Nom" and features tasty foods!
Fresh Cherries Card
When cherries are in season, I can't help but buy a bag of them when I see them at the grocery store. Pulling them off the stem and spitting out the pit has such a satisfying quality to it for some reason. Plus, cherries are delicious! This card is covered with green-stemmed cherries and pink polka dots against a crisp white background and comes with a red envelope.
French Fries Card
Tee-hee! We all know French Fries got their name from the french cut style, but it's still fun to make a pun when you can, especially when it means personifying the salty potato snacks. This carton of fries is wearing a striped shirt, a blue beret and of course has a little mustache that makes you say "oui" to sending this card out to a friend.
Avocado Toast Birthday Card
Did people Instagram their breakfast before avocado toast? Maybe, but topping some multi-grain bread with the good-fat-packed superfood really elevated the food 'grammin' game. If you know someone who has a strong health-conscious personal brand, chances are they'd get a laugh out of this birthday card.
Ice Cream and Sprinkles Card
The last card is my favorite, mainly because of the colorful pastel hues (and, well, the subject matter). I'm so glad the local ice cream stands are finally open for the season so I can go to places like Page Dairy Mart and grab a tasty treat to beat that heat. Top it with sprinkles (or "jimmies" as they say here in Pittsburgh) and there is no reason to be sad. This card comes with a pale pink envelope to match some of the pink yellow and blue cones that are scattered across this card. So fun!
Verdict: Since I love food, I was tickled by the theme of this month's Pennie Post. Instead of receiving 3 cards and an accessory, this month they kept it simple with 4 cards with fun food designs. Love it!
