Bullymake Box is a monthly subscription box for power chewers. You all have heard about (and seen) some of Nyx’s exploits with plush toys from dog subscription boxes so when I heard about this one, I had to sign up immediately. Nyx is definitely a power chewer! You pick your dog’s weight in 10-pound increments so this is a box for an 80-pound dog. (Nyx weighs about 84 right now)

The Products: Toys and treats specifically tailored for heavy chewing dogs (no plushes). You can also choose a “toys only” box. Because of Nyx’s dietary issues, I went with the “toys only” box. You can also enter specific allergy information in a box on the checkout screen.
Ships to: USA (free!), Canada for $8, and Internationally for an additional cost
Good to know: if you want a toys-only box, you must select that during sign-up. Otherwise, you will get the default box, which does include some treats.
Bullymake Box May 2018 Review
There was a “Cinco de Mayo” theme this month:
Not all boxes are the same due to the fact that you can choose your dog’s size in 10 pound increments, choose a toys-only box, etc., but there is usually an information card highlighting an item or two from the box.
There was also a card announcing a contest where you could win a free year of this subscription.
Flavorit Nylon Chew Bone (cheese infused, XL size) – Retail Value $11.99
I can’t find the cheese flavored toy on the Pet Qwerks site (this is the manufacturer’s e-commerce site) but all the other extra large flavors were $11.99, so that’s the value I’ve assigned. We get a fair number of these in Bullymake Box and Nyx absolutely loves them. You can spread peanut butter over it (to go in the little holes) but I don’t even need to do that, Nyx just chews on it as-is. And the flavoring doesn’t aggravate her IBD.
Bullymake Beer Can Toy – Listed Value $18
This is a Bullymake exclusive and it’s not in their shop yet, so I’ve used the value from the information card. (Of course, you should remove the paper label before giving this to your dog.) This is a hard rubber toy with holes at both ends (so no worries about suction). Nyx doesn’t have much patience for treat-dispensing toys, but if I put some peanut butter just out of reach inside, she won’t leave this alone.
Bullymake Chili Chewer – Listed Value $18
You’ll usually get one Bullymake exclusive flavored nylon (or sometimes unflavored, I’m not sure) chew toy and Nyx lives for these. She had a ball with this. She did keep chewing on the narrower end, so I eventually had to take this away. I’d say this was reasonably durable but not the most durable nylon chew we’ve received from Bullymake Box.
Multipet Nuts for Knots Ball – Retail Value $10.09 (found here for $5.59)
Nyx thinks rope toys are a lot of fun and she did enjoy this one. However, she gnawed on it incessantly until she started getting little bits of rope off. I wish it had lasted longer, but you just never know how a given dog is doing to be destructive, and she had fun for awhile, anyway.
Here are a few shots of Nyx with the chili pepper toy. These nylon chews are the highlight of her month.
Verdict: I calculated a value of $58.08 for the May 2018 Bullymake Box. That’s wonderful for four large dog toys. I feel like this month’s contents are pretty representative of what you would get with a toys-only box, although do note that even toys-only boxes for the same weight range may vary from month to month (we accidentally received two boxes one month and they were different). You’ll nearly always get at least one rubber treat-dispensing toy and one nylon chew, but the other items could vary. The chili pepper and Flavorit bones were the big wins, and I do wish the rope ball had held up longer, but Nyx enjoyed everything, and that’s what counts.

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first shipment would be June's. You can buy some of the exclusive toys at the Bullymake Shop if something catches your eye. Also, please note that this is the TOYS ONLY version of the box and it is selected for an 80-pound dog. There are some box variations here so you may not always receive the same box as Nyx gets, even if you choose the same profile values when you sign up.
