My son, Fox, is 2, very active, and loves discovering new toys! We both have been loving our Bluum boxes! Let's see what we received this month:
Spring by Ailie Busby - Retail Value $4.99
This book is all about spring! After the long winter we had I was very excited about the warmer weather and so was my son. Parks, walks, bike rides through the neighborhood, searching for ladybugs! This book takes us through all of the adventures that you can go on and the things you can discover in the spring. What a fun book with lovely and vibrant illustrations.
Frog Pull Toy by Rich Frog - Retail Value $15.95
This pull toy is so adorable! The frog is a prince with a crown, and wheels around with that proud look on his face, his head held high. Sadly, my son was not into this little guy at all. It being a pull toy seems a bit young for him. I tried bringing it outside for a walk, but he is fairly tall and the string didn't reach high enough for him so he just gave up. We are expecting baby number two in the fall so I am going to hold onto this for him!
i Play Brim Sun Protection Hat - Retail Value $13
Another cute item! This wide brim hat provides sun protection and dries quickly. It has an adjustable toggle so it will grow with your toddler, the size recommendation is 2 to 4 years old. The strap under the chin ties so you can make it as tight or loose as your little one would like. Unfortunately, this is another item that my little guy was not interested in. He has a lot of hats that he loves to wear, but for whatever the reason he refused to wear this. The brim is pretty large and got in his face so he just was not interested. We decided to gift this to my cousin's daughter who is traveling to the beach with us this summer!
Plan Toys Duck Twister - Retail Value $9.99
This wooden toy is made for your little one to take apart and rebuild however they like! All you have to do is twist the extra parts on and off to build the duck. Wooden toys are great, but they do not work for us. My son can be a bit destructive at the moment (we are working on it), but we never know when a wooden toy is going to go flying or get a solid "Hulk Smash" into our coffee table. I gifted this to my friend's daughter who seemed to play with it nicely when she was over recently for a play date.
Verdict: This month's Bluum was filled with more toys that my son could use as opposed to last month's product curation. However, they just don't seem focused on his age, and the overall assortment seems to be very similar month over month. I wish there was a way to give some information about my son to help pick toys that are more fit for his personality. This month's retail value came to $43.93, down by almost $15 from last month. I keep seeing a trend that the products aren't a great fit for my son or are just something that we don't have a need for, so I am interested to see what next month has to bring!
