Oui Fresh March 2018 Review

You'll find an info card that lists all of the items, plus where you can buy more of them. My only wish is that they used a larger font size! My terrible eyes had to squint to see the deets!

100% Pure herbal detox mask

100% Pure Herbal Detox Mask, 0.3 oz. - Retail Value $15.00

This mask comes in a tube that is a lot smaller than I'm used to, but it can be stretched further if used as a spot treatment as opposed to a full face mask. It comes in a pale olive green color that gets lighter and chalkier as it dries. After just a few minutes and when it's completely dry, just rinse it off with warm water. It as a slew of natural and botanical ingredients that minimizes pores and combats black and whiteheads lurking underneath your skin. It left my skin feeling refreshed and soft. They suggest different frequencies depending on the type of skin you have.

100% Pure brightening scrub + mask

100% Pure Brightening Scrub + Mask, 0.27 oz. - Retail Value $15.00

The other product from 100% Pure included in the box is this brightening scrub. There is something I really enjoy about exfoliating my face. This smells really nice and citrusy when applying and has a delicate cream formula with tiny scrubbies in it that do just enough to feel like they are getting my skin buffed without being too rough. My skin not only felt moisturized but also super soft, much like the detox mask. I'd probably only use this 1-2 times per week between normal cleansings.

the seaweed beth co firm + lift treatment mask back of the seaweed beth co firm + lift treatment mask with directions

The Seaweed Bath Co. Firm + Lift Treatment Mask - Retail Value $5.99

This mask had an awful lot of essence on it, so I had to wring it out a bit before applying. It also comes with a plastic backing that you have to peel off first before applying to your face. It says it's a silk mask, using only natural ingredients that are gluten, SLS and paraben free, and NOT tested on animals. The main ingredients include skin-softening aloe, restorative hyaluronic acid, and skin balancing Pro-Vitamin B5. It's meant to give you a sort of natural "facelift", but I didn't see any immediate results after the one use. The essence felt a little gummy on my face after taking off the mask and after an hour or two I ended up rinsing it, even though it's suggested to just smooth it in and not rinse.

au naturale creme de la creme shadow in palma with box open au naturale creme de la creme shadow in palma bottom of au naturale creme de la creme shadow in palma

Au Naturale Créme de la Creme Shadow in Palma - Retail Value $24.00

I'm really into the idea of a cream eyeshadow since I love cream blush. It's suggested that you can apply this to your eyelids right from the tube, with your finger, or by using a brush. I opted for my finger since I have the most control. I was surprised how glimmery this is as well as having a decent pigment to it. The golden/bronze color is flattering on me and presumably on a lot of different people. I noticed on the website that a commenter suggested using this as a base and then to use a powder on top, which sounds lovely! Although I like this formula, I'd prefer a matte or at least solid color to the sparkly one I received.

oui fresh hydrating lip gloss in bye bye bye open oui fresh hydrating lip gloss in bye bye bye

Oui Fresh Hydrating Lip Gloss in Bye Bye Bye - Retail Value $18.00

I'm torn about liking this gloss or not but only because I'm not typically a gloss gal. This is a really soft pale pink color that looks nice on my lips and is actually super hydrating. It also smells really nice (like candy) and gives a little sparkle to my pout. As far as glosses go, this one is slick but not too sticky. I'll have to wear it out a few more times to really know if I'll stick with this or not. Bonus points for the cute branding. 🙂

Masigi Pulling Oil Fresh Packs back of Masigi Pulling Oil Fresh Packs

Masigi Pulling Oil Fresh Packs x 3 - Total Estimated Value $6.00 (Buy a box of 14 for $28.00)

I remember hearing when oil pulling first became popular but I never got around to trying it. These single-serving packs contain organic coconut oil with a hint of organic minty essential oils to make your breath fresh and overall make it more enjoyable. After kneading the pack to ensure it's warm and liquidy enough, you squeeze the contents into your mouth and swish it around like you would a mouthwash for at least 5 minutes. At first, I thought that sounded like a long time, but I set the timer on my phone and it went by quickly. The mint did indeed make it pleasant and my mouth felt fresh after spitting it out. In addition to freshening your breath, it's supposed to soothe digestive issues and improve mental focus. This is totally something I could see myself getting into long-term and these little packs make it really easy.

Verdict: March's Oui Fresh Beauty Box was full of new and interesting products for me. I'm coming around to the subtle gloss, love the idea of oil pulling, and will look into some different color cream shadows. The treatment mask didn't really wow me (they rarely do), but the brightening scrub and detox mask were both quite nice! Overall, I got six beauty products totaling a retail of $83.99 for $29.99.

Loved my box SO much! The shadow has really good lasting power, especially for an all natural product. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for April!

Seeing this review reminded me that I forgot to tell the person I gifted the oil pulling products to what it’s for and how to use them. They asked, but I think I was engrossed in posting a comment on MSA last night that I forgot they asked when I was done. ha!
