Each box from GlobeIn contains a pamphlet that talks more about the theme for the box and the items inside.

Just a heads up, there aren’t prices listed in the booklet for the items, so I’m going off the prices given in this Globein spoilers post!

coverup in mint

caftan on model

caftan details

caftan arms

Caftan, India – Listed Value $50.00

This sheer caftan is the perfect beach coverup. It’s breezy and beachy—the color reminds me of sea glass or the color of a crisp Caribbean shore. It has a loose, one-size-fits-all kind of fit. To me, it fit like a size 2X tshirt might. (I usually wear a large.)

coverup in peach

Subscribers might also get the same caftan in this peachy pink color instead of the mint! Which one are you hoping for?

globein woven clutch

basket style clutch purse

Palm Leaf Clutch, Mexico – Listed Value $20.00

I’ve gotten a lot of palm leaf baskets and catch-all dishes from this subscription box, but this is the first time I’ve seen a clutch! What a neat idea! The bag is about 9″ x 6″ and has a bottom pocket and a close-fitting “lid” that slips over top. It’s smooth and flexible to hold and has such a unique, organic vibe. I love the dark charcoal-colored accents, too!

globein ring

globein pineapple ring

globein pineapple ring from behind

pineapple ring on hand

Pineapple Ring, Bali – Listed Value $25.00

This ring is super cute! The brass ring has a little notch in the back that you can use to adjust the size in tighter (or looser, if you’d like). The pineapple feels super summery—it’d be great to wear to a barbecue or to a night of drinks at the tiki bar. The card the ring is on has a coupon on the back for a future purchase, too!

globein beauty product

globein beauty product

Coconut Hand and Body Cream, 2 fl. oz., Togo – Listed Value $3.00

I’ve tried plenty of coconut scrubs and lotions and hair treatments in my time, but this is hands-down the best smelling coconut product I’ve ever experienced! This vegan, gluten-free, paraben-free, non-animal-tested lotion smells of pure, delicious coconut—it’s that perfect, mildly vanilla, dreamy, creamy aroma that I imagine when I think about coconut. Even better, this nourishing lotion supports sustainable development in West Africa through programs like providing bikes, funding births, planting trees, and more!

globein glee gum pack

globein glee gum

globein glee gum pink piece of bubblegum

Glee Gum, United States – Listed Value $1.00

This little pack of gum is made sans-aspartame or other artificial ingredients in the United States. I got a bubblegum flavor, though I think subscribers might get one of about 7 flavors. Gum isn’t my favorite, but I can appreciate this little item as a fun extra in this box of otherwise really impressive finds!

Bonus Item: Re/Make Wear Your Values Pin

I didn’t know anything about this movement, but I love it! Apparently last September, the folks from Re/Make hosted events during New York Fashion Week to draw attention to the systems and practices along the fast fashion supply chain. This organization is pro slow fashion, which prioritizes ethical working conditions, fair wages, and environmentally friendly practices in regards to making and buying fashion. This 1″ wide pin is super lightweight and thinner than most enamel pins I’m familiar with, but it’s striking with its black and gold palette. I can’t wait to pop this on my jacket as a reminder every time I head out to shop.

The Verdict: I really loved this box! The fashion aspect was definitely there, but I think the stronger theme was a beachy, warm-weather vibe, which felt super refreshing after a (VERY) long, cold winter. Globein does a great job of providing an assortment of unique items—I got something to wear, something to taste, something for self-care—so that it has a well-roundedness that not all subscriptions have. It’s definitely one of my favorite lifestyle subscriptions. The box costs $50.00 (cost + shipping for me), which means I paid about $10.00 per featured item (or $8.33 if you count the pin). That feels a little high for the gum and the ring, but I’d suspect to pay a little more for the clutch and the caftan, so it balances out just fine in my eyes. I’m also willing to pay a little more to know that what I’m getting is supporting real people around the world.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! If you subscribe by the 15th, you can choose to get this box. Premium Box schedule from Globein:

1st – 5th: Customize your theme and choose add-ons!
10th: Last day to cancel or skip before getting this month’s box (and add-ons).
15th: Last day to update your shipping address
18th – 21st: Your box starts to ship!

Coupon – Use coupon code MSAWELCOME to save $10.00 off any subscription

Value Breakdown: At $50.00 for this box ($40.00 + $10.00 shipping), each item has an average price of about $10.00. But I estimate that I got $99.00 worth of retail value (not counting the bonus item). Using those estimated numbers, proportionally, I paid the following for each item:

  • Caftan – $25.25
  • Clutch – $10.10
  • Ring – $12.63
  • Hand cream – $1.52
  • Gum – $0.51

  1. After a loooong stretch of skipped months, finally here’s a box I’m absolutely thrilled about. I appreciate GlobeIn’s spotlight on the impact of fast fashion. It’s given me a lot to think about. Next up, I guess, is figuring out what I can do differently with my family’s modest amount of disposable income.

Anna, I appreciate the proportional cost breakdown you provide. In my opinion this box provides a superior value.

Also, you look beautiful in the caftan! So glad to finally see photos that show its shape and construction, and how roomy it is.

  2. Oh wow…I am loving that caftan! Anna, you look adorable in it!

If anyone would like to swap theirs, please let me know. My swap ID is 37351. I have lots of stuff listed. And I really need to get rid of some of it over the next 6 weeks before the 200 item limit is in place. Come on guys…help a swap sister out, would ya?? 🙂 🙂

  3. The details at the beginning states that Globein offers two themed boxes per month to choose from. That is no longer true. The reason I am pointing this out is because I liked when you could choose between two different boxes and there would always be one I liked. It is just a reminder that we can’t choose any more. Pretend you see a sad emoji. I only know how to get them on Facebook.

  4. Any idea where one could buy the coconut hand cream? I did not see it on the website. You look stunning and ready for a beach holiday!!

    • I found it on Amazon. Just search for Alaffia Reishi Coconut Vanilla.

      • Thank you!!!

    • Here’s where I found it, Noelle: alaffia.com/travel-size/
      You look adorable, Anna.

      • Thank you!!!

    • Whole Foods, I’ve been buying my Alaffia products there for years.

  5. Ooh, the caftan is really pretty!

  6. Anna, you look adorable in that caftan! You and I are similar in size and height, and I am wondering if I should order this … it seems like it may be more flattering compared to the Causebox kimono. I’d love to swap for it if anyone got one and doesn’t want it!

    • Thanks so much, Michelle! It was surprisingly flattering for being a more flowy, simply-shaped garment. Definitely nab one if you can!!!

      • Your review and this mornings 30 percent off code and done!
