Busy Bee Stationery April 2018 Review

I found the blog to be very helpful to learn more about each product in the box and how to use them for the theme.

American Crafts – “You Got This” Magnetic List Pad

American Crafts – “You Got This” Magnetic List Pad – Retail Value $5.00 (found here for $3.50)

I love cute notepads, so this was a fun surprise. I love the color and it has a magnet on the back to stick on the fridge if that’s what you prefer. I plan on using this as a reminder pad in the kitchen.

1 Canoe 2 – Hazelwood Collection – Alphabet Stamp Set – Retail Value $10.00 (found here for $8.74)

These letter stamps are in a cute mason jar, which I like because it’s a tidy storage option and cute at the same time. My son is learning his letters so I am excited to use these with him! I also think these would be very useful for any note card since every letter is included, you can use them for personalization.

American Crafts – Stamp Pad – Green and Black

American Crafts – Stamp Pad – Green and Black – Retail Value $11.99 (found here for $7.19)

These two ink pads, one black, and one green, go well with the stamps. Since this box is in celebration of Earth Day, I was glad to see green as one of the colors. They worked well!

1 Canoe 2 – Hazelwood Collection – Washi Tape 48 Yards – Retail Value $10.00 (found here for $8.74)

I love washi tape and this group of 8 tapes feels versatile and cute. I feel like you can really never have enough. This washi tape is from the same line as the stamps and I think they complement each other. I will be using all 48 yards of this tape!

Office Depot – TUL® Limited Edition Brights Retractable Gel Pens

Office Depot – TUL® Limited Edition Brights Retractable Gel Pens – Retail Value $7.99

This is a set of 4 retractable gel pens. The colors are very vivid and write seamlessly. I was happy to see these in the box as I will use them all the time. I am happy with this product.

American Crafts – Memory Planner Collection – Fabric Zipper Pouch- Retail Value $4.00 (found here for $2.80)

The last thing in the box is this cute pouch. It has cacti on it, which is fun for spring and summer. It goes with the theme and I think it’s a nice product to have for holding my new pens and washi tape.

The Verdict: I really enjoyed this Busy Bee Stationery box because it introduced me to new crafting products I otherwise wouldn’t have known about. This month was clearly well thought out and I will use every product. My favorite products are the notepad and the pens since I am always looking for high-quality ones, like these. Overall, I was very happy with the curation of this box.

All the products in this box total $48.98 before shipping (less with sale prices), which is higher than the $39.90 plus free US shipping box cost. While the value isn’t extremely impressive, I thought the products were fun and I was happy with this box.

I loved this box! I love the bee theme of the sub, but I am a little obsessed with stationery products, AND Washi tape. The price is a little steep for me, I think. I love the idea of having it curated and brought to my doorstep, but for $40 I can get a LOT of stationery supplies, as they are really not too difficult to find.

Beth

For Earth day they are sending disposable plastic pens?!

They’re not refillable?? That’s not cool if they aren’t.

They are not refillabel. I agree a more eco friendly / green option would have made more sense.
