Walmart offers a Baby Box filled with samples and offers designed for various stages of parenthood. They currently offer three boxes: Prenatal (6-1 months before due date), Newborn/Infant (0-11 months)  and Toddler (1-3 years old). When you sign up they will ask for your due date or baby’s birthdate and the gender (boy, girl, or surprise me). Then they send the box that best fits the stage your child is in. If you sign up for a Prenatal or Newborn/Infant box they will automatically send you the next box when they enter that next stage.

Walmart Baby Box March 2018 Review for Newborns

Tums Chewy Bites in Mixed Berry, 2 Extra Strength 750mg tablets - Buy a 32 count bottle for $3.84

The first sample I received was a pack of Tums Chewy Bites in Mixed Berry. I hadn’t tried these before, but I am really glad I received a sample because I actually didn’t like them and had considered buying them before! The texture was a little strange- chewy with a chalky center. I usually only like peppermint Tums though, so this could all be personal preference! The $0.75 off any 32 ct Tums coupon that was included will definitely get used though!

On the back of the coupon was another coupon for $1.50 off any 30 ct or larger SlowFe Slow Release Iron Supplement which I have never tried before. You can buy a 30 count pack for $8.97.

Huggies Natural Care Wipes, pack of 8 wipes - Buy a 3-pack of 56 (168-count) for $5.97

This sample of Huggies Natural Care Wipes is the perfect size to throw in your purse for baby (or toddler). They are fragrance and alcohol-free, hypoallergenic and contain aloe and vitamin E. I don’t mind having a sample of these, but they are not my favorite wipe as I have found that they rip fairly easily. The included coupon was for $5.00 off 1 package of Huggies Little Movers Diapers AND 1 package of Huggies Natural Care Wipes.

Earth’s Best Organic Whole Grain Oatmeal Cereal, 0.05 oz pouch (1 serving) - Buy an 8oz. box for $2.86

I don’t think I have tried this brand before, but I love that I can throw this single serving pouch in the diaper bag to use while I’m out once baby has started solids. The two coupons are for $1.00 off Earth’s Best Organic Infant Cereal and $1.00 off 3 Earth’s Best Organic Infant Pouches which come in a variety of flavors.

The book also included an Infant Feeding Guide and information on how and when to start solids. I think this is great information, even though this is my third child, this is the information I somehow seem to forget in between children, so it’s great to have this little booklet on hand as a reminder!

Who knew VapoRub had so many kid-friendly options? A few of these were actually Scratch n’ Sniff so that you could smell them. While being able to smell them is great, I really wish they had included a sample as well. The included coupon was for $1.00 off any one Vick’s VapoRub or BabyRub product. You can buy a 1.76 oz jar of the Children’s Cough Suppressant for $4.97. I think I’ll use it to stock up for next year’s cold and flu season (Hooray for spring!).

This next coupon is a $5.00 mail-in rebate for the Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer which you can buy for $26.75. This is actually the thermometer that we have and use at our house. I love how quickly it works and that it’s just a swipe across the forehead to get a reading. I’m not sure the accuracy is as good as a traditional thermometer, but it’s accurate enough to give me some peace of mind when my kids aren’t feeling well. I use it as a gauge for whether or not their fevers are improving.

Aquaphor Baby Advanced Therapy Healing Ointment,0.03 oz sample - Buy a 1.75 oz bottle for $4.74

This is a perfect little sample size that I will throw in my diaper bag or purse. It can be used for diaper rashes or chapped skin (for mommy or baby!) and it’s very gentle being that it’s hypoallergenic and fragrance and preservative free. The coupon is for $1.50 off any one Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment Baby Care product.

Baby Magic Hair & Body Wash in Soft Powder Scent, 2 oz sample - Buy a 16.5 oz bottle for $2.98

This is a mild baby wash that is hypoallergenic and tear and dye free. This just smells like a baby to me and I love having these sample sizes for travel. The coupon is for $0.75 off any one Baby Magic Product of 16.5 oz or greater.

Philips Avent 0-6 Month Translucent Pacifier, 1 count - Buy a 2-pack for $5.97

The next two products were full-size Philips Avent samples. It’s always nice to have backup pacifiers and this was my son’s favorite style. I love that they sent a very plain white one and I really like that these have a cap to keep them clean- although I can never seem to remember where they are to put them back on! The coupon is for $1.50 off any 2 Philips Avent pacifiers. Unfortunately, the expiration date is 3/31/2018 so I doubt I am going to make it to the store in time to use it.

Philips Avent Anti-Colic Bottle, one 4 oz bottle - Buy a 3-pack of bottles for $9.59

While I have received numerous free samples of Philips Avent bottles, this is the first time I have received this Anti-Colic bottle. I like that it is small and slim and will fit in the pockets of our diaper bag. While I haven’t needed anti-colic bottles yet, I feel like it never hurts for your bottles to have that feature just in case!

There was no coupon for this, but it says if you sign up for their newsletter you can get up to $30 in coupons. So if you like this bottle, that’s good to know!

Olay Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream, 0.02 oz sample - Buy a 1.7 oz. jar for $24.93

The last product was a little something for mom. It’s nice that they thought about mom too and I’m looking forward to trying this, although samples this size never seem to be enough to see if you get good results. The coupon is for $3.00 off one Olay Luminous Face Moisturizer (excluding travel/trial sizes).

The Verdict: I really liked that every sample was accompanied by a coupon for the actual product. This was a great way to try products and then an incentive to purchase them if you liked them. I really wish that some of these coupons were good to use online as well- I do a lot of my baby shopping online, so that would have been helpful!

This box was free but costs $5.00 for shipping and handling. While the sample sizes were all rather small (other than the bottle and pacifier), the total value of all coupons was $22. Depending on what products you liked and which coupons you might use will really determine whether the value is worth it to you. I will probably use about $4 in coupons so that extra $1 covers the cost of all the great samples I received and will definitely use!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, all three boxes are currently available although the products and samples inside your box may vary!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

These are Great boxes! I sent them to my Niece. Started with the pregnancy box, then newborn and infant. She said each box was like having Christmas!! They send them out every 3 months. And she’s supposed to get a final box at the 1yr anniversary of Starting box. Each baby box includes couple items for mom too.
I would recommend this box.

I signed up for them when I was pregnant with my now 7 month old, but only got the pregnancy box and then the newborn box. From what it says on their website, they don’t send every 3 months anymore – just 1 prenatal, 1 infant, and 1 toddler.
