Snailbox February 2018 Review

info card

Each Snailbox has a featured artist, and this month it's Ali Macdonald from Lark + Raven out of New York City. In addition to greeting cards, Ali also designs gift wrap, pillows, notebooks, and enamel pins.

pack of cards bundled with decorative twine

The contents came bundled together in cute striped twine!

2 of 4 stamps the other 2 of 4 stamps

USA Forever Stamps - Total Retail Value $2.00

Among others, Snailbox used an empanada stamp to deliver my subscription and I TOOK NOTE. Imagine my delight when I opened it up to see that I received two of my own empanada stamps of my own (along with flan and ceviche)! I always love when greeting card subs include stamps- it makes mailing out the cards that much easier!

four lips stickers

Lips Stickers x 4

Next, I received four "envelope seals" (aka stickers) in the form of pink lips! Seal it with a kiss, indeed.

Best Beaches Forever Card with two ladies in bikinis

Best Beaches Forever Card - Retail Value $4.50

I love the illustration on this one! You have two ladies (one in a bikini, and one topless) with innertubes and swimming flippers having the time of their lives at the beach. What a great card to send your bestie to remind her what a blast y'all had on that one beach vacation! The inside is blank and it comes with a white envelope.

I miss you like the deserts miss the rain card with cactus and sun

Like the Deserts Miss The Rain Card - Retail Value $4.50

Next, we have a lone cactus with a couple of pink blooms against a big orange sun that says "I miss you like the deserts miss the rain". The song by Everything But The Girl immediately pops into my head when I read this. So many of my close buds live in other cities and I miss them dearly, so this card will come in handy. This one comes with a teal green envelope that matches the cactus and is also blank inside.

i love you even though you "blank" card

ILY Blank Card - Retail Value $4.50

This simple fill-in-the-blank card will appeal to anyone who grew up doing Mad Libs. In bold black letters, the front only says "I Love You Even Though You _____" so that you can fill in the love of your life's most annoying shortcoming. Do they clip their nails in bed? Do they chew with their mouth open? The possibilities are endless. Blank insides allow you ample room to explain yourself, and this one comes with a crisp white envelope.

Happy Birthday card with parrot wearing party hat

Party Parrot Birthday Card - Retail Value $4.50

I can't help but smile when I see this bright yellow illustrated parrot wearing a party hat on the front of this birthday card. A lovely bouquet of wildflowers joins it to bring even more color to the scene. It's blank inside but the description on their website is pretty darn funny "We tried to train this parrot to wish you happy birthday, but it kept falling asleep. So we put a party hat on it and called it day. Happy birdday!".

Verdict: Snailbox is a great way to stock up on cards so you don't have to go to the store each time someone you love has a life event. I'm pleased with my first shipment and love the idea of having a featured artist each month so that the content and style will vary!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but you have until the end of this month to receive March as your first. The ship on the 15th of each month.

Tia

With 4 card sets wouldn’t the value breakdown be $5?
