Peachy Box February 2018 Review

This month, everything is pretty and pink. Let’s see what there is!

Peachy Box includes an info card with descriptions and values of the contents and the theme for the month. This month’s theme is “A Romantic Night In”. All of the blush and rose packaging has me swooning. Plus, these boxes always smell wonderful.

The SNOBLOVE Bar - Rose Quartz Soap Crystal, 2oz

The SNOBLOVE Bar - Rose Quartz Soap Crystal, 2oz - Retail Value $4

I’m always amazed at how pretty soap can be. This bar looks like a rose quartz crystal and smells like grapefruit and rose with a little sweetness. It is a glycerin soap so it is very moisturizing and makes my skin feel clean and comfortable.

The SNOBLOVE Bar - Lemon & Rose Water Bath Salts, 4oz

The SNOBLOVE Bar - Lemon & Rose Water Bath Salts, 4oz - Retail Value $11.99

These bath salts are from the same company as the rose soap and smell like rose and lemon. The salts dissolve and leave pieces of rose buds floating in the bath. I like that the ingredient list is short and that these products are made in Smyrna, TN.

Glo by Glory - Glo Stix Semi-Matte Liquid Lipstick in Love Muffin

Glo by Glory - Glo Stix Semi-Matte Liquid Lipstick in Love Muffin - Retail Value $18

I’m not sure why, but I had a really hard time applying this liquid lipstick and the edges just kept looking messy. Aside from application, I’m happy with the shade, – a blue-based cherry red – and the coverage which is opaque and vivid. The finish is smooth and truly a semi-matte. You can see me wearing it below. Once it dries down, it’s long lasting but I do notice that it dries my lips out enough to need a balm within a couple of hours.

Par Avion Tea - Sparkling Rosé Black Tea, 2oz

Par Avion Tea - Sparkling Rosé Black Tea, 2oz - Retail Value $15.99

Like soap, tea can be absolutely beautiful. This tea comes sealed in a cute little tin that is perfect for dumping the bag into. The black tea leaves are paired with rose petals and gold sugar crystals so it sparkles in the bag. And guess what?! It sparkles once it’s brewed too! The rich golden brown tea has swirls of shimmer from the sugar which I tried to capture in the above picture. The flavor is rich with a hint of sweetness.

Honey Belle - Flora Rosewater Facial Toner, 2oz

Honey Belle - Flora Rosewater Facial Toner, 2oz - Retail Value $22

Keeping with the rose theme, this facial toner comes in a glass dropper style bottle with little rose petals floating about. I think the scent I’m smelling is the rosewood and witch hazel. It smells similar to eucalyptus. My skin feels cool and refreshed after I wipe this on with a cotton pad, and I’m hoping to see brighter skin as promised on the bottle. Since witch hazel often dries me out, I make sure to follow up with a rich moisturizer.

AhDorned - Pocket Mirror Keychain, Red Heart

AhDorned - Pocket Mirror Keychain, Red Heart - Retail Value $28

I love to have a cute mirror in my purse at all times and this one is also a keychain. It’s cute enough to clip to the outside of a bag too. The little round mirror slides out of the heart and is connected by a piece of ribbon so it won’t go too far. $28 seems like a lot for this but I think it is a good inclusion for this theme.

Hekate Help Me - Love Draw Candle

Hekate Help Me - Love Draw Candle - Retail Value $12.44

So, this is a ritual candle which is meant to be used to draw love into you. Rituals also use essentials oils and crystals so the maker has included the crystals you need in the candle. It is unscented so you can add whichever essential oils you want. Even if you aren’t into rituals, this is a pretty candle and I love the idea of scenting with what you like. You also get to keep the tumbled rose quartz and quartz point which are beautiful. I love using crystals in jewelry!

Starlooks - Eyeliner Pen & Heart Stamp

Starlooks - Eyeliner Pen & Heart Stamp - Retail Value $19

This is a really nice liquid liner pen. I prefer this style of felt tip for creating crisp cat eyes and I love the rich, matte black. The staying power is awesome and you get a bonus heart stamp to play with. Starlooks has several different stamp shapes on their website if you like to stamp. I probably won’t rock the heart side too often but it’s a fun option. You can see me wearing it below.

Here are the swatches of the eyeliner and the lipstick.

Here I have on the eyeliner to line my upper lid and a little heart. I used two coats of the liquid lip and you can’t see where I struggled on my cupid’s bow a bit.

Verdict: Peachy Box’s “Romantic Night In” is a really great box. I always love the packaging and theme curation because it is always just so pretty. I don't even like ungrouping the items! This is a great box to consider as a gift too because the products are high quality and thoughtfully put together. I like that they include items from small businesses and makers that love their craft. My favorite items are the bath products because I’m trying to take more self-care time, but I really like everything. I calculated a retail value of $131.42 which I think is good for a cost of $34.99 with free shipping.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the March box. Order before the 16th of each month to get that month's box.

Gorgeous makeup colors on you but I agree…it looks like that lipstick tends to bleed. Love the review!!
