Infinite Style by Ann Taylor Box February 2018 Return Label

Infinite Style by Ann Taylor always provides this free return shipping package that makes returning all or some of your items on time super easy!

Let’s see what styles I received!

Infinite Style by Ann Taylor Box February 2018 Sweater Infinite Style by Ann Taylor Box February 2018 Sweater Detail Infinite Style by Ann Taylor Box February 2018 Sweater Neck Infinite Style by Ann Taylor Box February 2018 Sweater Sleeve

Striped Split Neck Balloon Sleeve Sweater in Revel Pink, Size L - Retail Value: $89.50, Cost to Keep: $53.50

I am normally not one for the color pink, but I am in love with this sweater! It is a wool/nylon blend and it is oh so comfortable. I love that the fit is a bit more roomy like an oversized sweatshirt, yet it has the feminine detail at the neckline and looks super stylish. I love it paired with my distressed "mom jeans" but I could see this working well with black skinny jeans or a pencil skirt. Just based on my personal style and need for comfortable clothes, I know that this is a piece that I will wear constantly!

Floral Smock Neck Blouse In Viva Red, Size L - Retail Value: $79.50, Cost to Keep: $47.50

I really wanted to love this blouse, however, I felt the overall fit was not super flattering on me. I have broader shoulders and thought that the flowy fit hung a bit odd from my shoulder to chest area. The sleeve detail and bold pattern really caught my eye, so much so that I tried so many ways to make this blouse work for me. The fabric is a polyester and spandex blend so there is a ton of wiggle room and give even at the neckline. The blouse itself is super thin so probably not good to wear on a super cold day, but this would make a great transitional piece from winter into the warmer spring months. I am so sad to see this one go back!

Lace Midi Flare Dress in Black, Size 12 - Retail Value: $149.00, Cost to Keep: $107

I always love adding dressier pieces to my closet, you never know when you are going to need a staple black dress, and it is always good to try different styles. This is a style that I don't currently own and was excited to try on. Made of 100% polyester, this dress is so well made and structured it gives you that "sit up straight" feeling the moment you zip it up. I love the lace overlay and extra details that you can see at the hem, waist, and neckline. I love how the ankle boots gave this dress a little edge, but I could see myself pairing this with a strappy heel as well to give it a very feminine look. This is the type of dress that I could have as a go-to piece for years to come or something that could work as a rental piece for someone with an upcoming event!

The Verdict: I thought this month's Infinite Style by Ann Taylor box was filled with the perfect rental pieces. I quickly fell in love with the pink sweater, so out of my color range, that once I wore it once I knew I had to keep it. The other two pieces were so much fun to try on before making a big purchase. The black lace dress was that sexy meets sophisticated dress that my closet needs, while I was happy to be able to wear the blouse a few times before deciding that it just wasn't my style after all. What I have found over my past few Infinite Style boxes is that the whole process is extremely easy, I can view their collection online to add whatever I want to my closet, I can try each piece on without the guilt of purchasing right at home, and then make any return I want for free - super quick and so easy! While this is a bigger budget box, I have found that I'm learning a lot about different styles that I normally wouldn't seek out on my own at a store, and I am falling back in love with the Ann Taylor brand!

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? Each box is customized for you so a box will ship within a few days of building your closet profile!

Value Breakdown: This box costs me $95, but I received a total retail value of $318. I can wear and return for free. If I decide to keep the items from this month, I would pay $208 on top of the styling fee.

Hi,

I am also a subscriber to this box and just wanted to add some information that I received from Ann Taylor about how the shipping works.

In short, if you live on the West Coast, you will not be able to turn boxes around quickly because of how they track and limit the number of items that can be “out” at a time. They ship from the East Coast, and so the extensive shipping times mean they will not release additional boxes until the original box has already arrived at their warehouse.

This is what they wrote to me:

“The reason your next shipment was not immediately triggered when you return notified your last set of 3 garments on February 28th is that you had 6 garments reflecting in your At-Home section at that time. Kindly note that 6 is the maximum you can have. Once you have 6, the processing of shipments is suspended until we have physically received 3 garments from you.”

This is totally different from LeTote, which starts preparing a new box as soon as USPS scans the return. They don’t have to wait until anything physically arrives as their warehouse before sending something new out. If you decide to keep something, they will charge you as soon as they open the returned parcel and see that something is missing.

So I returned all my Ann Taylor stuff last Friday, and they still haven’t prepared my new box much less mailed anything. I don’t expect to have another box before this weekend.

I am pretty disappointed by this model, and am therefore going to have to cancel. I hope things are more efficient for those who live on the East Coast.

Hey I live in Hawaii (probably most West you can be) and I have been a member since late January 2018 and am able to receive almost once a week by trying this out. :

Notify the “Return Item” on the same day you receive it. I just try them all (3) on the night I receive it and generally I already know which one I want to keep or not by then. This way they will get your next item ready in few days.

Even though I already notify them of returning, I don’t drop off in the mail until I wear all 3 pieces 3 days later. So I still have time to try the clothes on while they are “getting ready” for my next shipment.

I’m not saying I had no problems. So I did have your similar issue so I inquired the same thing. But I took picture of the return label included so I can track so I contact the customer service that I already returned it. Then looked into it for me to get the next box ready.

Either way, I do drop off the return items before the next box is shipped (3 days after I notify) so timing wise, they generally receive my first box back at their facility by the time I already tried finished wearing my 2nd box. So my 3rd box is ready day after I drop off my 2nd box.

So in February I received total of 9 outfits which I think it was totally worth it. I’m hoping to maximize this March by receiving 12 outfits! $95/12 piece=$7.92/piece!!

While on those days I’m trying on and I realized that I want to really keep it then I figured I can contact the customer service that I decide to keep it and just don’t return it. So it’s not really a problem I “notify” them of returning I figured.

For those that are confused, here is my time line for this March:

1) 03/01 THU Received 1st box, try on the clothing and Return Notify!

2) 03/02 FRI- 03/06/17 TUE Wear them!

3) 03/06 TUE – 2nd box is shipped!

4) 03/07 Wed Drop off 1st box in the mail to return!

5) 03/09 FRI Received 2nd box, try on clothing and Return Notify!

6) 03/10 SAT – 03/14 WED Wear them!

Up to this point, my plan is working pretty good. I received my 2nd box this month today 03/09. I even tracked and my 1st box that I returned is going to be delivered to them by Saturday 03/10 so they have no excuse to ship my 3rd box by 03/15 below.

From here this is my plan so did not happen yet.
7) 03/15 THU – Drop off 2nd box in the mail to return!
8) 03/15 THU – 3RD Box is shipped!
9) 03/19 MON – Received 3rd box, try on the clothing and Return Notify!
10) 03/20 TUE – 03/22 THU Wear them!
11) 03/23 FRI – Drop off 3rd box in the mail to return!
12) 03/26 MON – 4TH box is shipped!
13) 03/28 WED – Received 4th box, try on the clothing and Return Notify!
14) 03/29 THU -03/31 SAT Wear them!

Let’s see if I can make 4 box/month happen!

So incredibly helpful, thank you!!

This is very helpful! I signed up yesterday and I am waiting for my first box to arrive. The lady from customer service that I spoke with said that she receives 5-6 boxes per month using the Return Notify, but she did not explain how that works. I am glad I read your comment, I would like to maximize the number of boxes I receive every month and your feedback definitely helps.

That dress is a keeper! It looks fabulous on you and it is so classic you can wear it for years to come. Ann Taylor clothes are generally very well made too.

Loving the black dress, and it really suits you! The delicate details are a great combination with the simple a-line silhouette.
I have a hard time with Ann Taylor because, since trends on fit vary, it’s hard to tell what size I really prefer without trying on first. Sometimes sweaters that are designed to be fitted look better oversized, and vice versa. And then the fabric contents…it’s hard to just give a stylist a hard line that I’m always a certain size. We have several local AT and Loft outlets, so the price on this box is hard to justify for me.

The red blouse is on sale too for $36 after 40% discount.

https://www.anntaylor.com/floral-smock-neck-blouse/448149

Is this a pattern with this box, that they send out things that are going or currently on sale and try to have people pay more for used products than they would for new ones?

Susan

Everything at Ann Taylor goes on sale within a few weeks of coming out. I used to purchase all my work outfits from them and quickly learned never to pay full price as inevitably the items would go on sale at steep discounts two weeks later. Same thing happens with JCrew. The only catch is that they may not have the item in your size when the sale starts.

I only noticed that happening once before so I don’t think it is too common.
