Fortune Cookie Soap You. Are. A. Toy 2018 Easter Box Review.

This box came with an info sheet detailing the brand new scents FCS created for these products!

You've Got A Friend In Me Bath Bomb

You've Got A Friend In Me Bath Bomb

These adorable mini bath bombs are banana-pina colada scented and so fun. I used both of them for one bath, and I really enjoyed having both Woody’s cowboy hat and an Alien keeping me company. Since these were so small they didn't color the bath water the way I always love, but these little fizzers definitely made bath time brighter!

Pizza Planet OCD Hand Sanitizer

Pizza Planet OCD Hand Sanitizer

Hand sanitizer is known for drying out hands, but this moisturizing one is scented with sweet cranberry muffins! It is definitely a step up from Purell, and I appreciated that while this smelled nice it wasn't overpowering (I feel like when I use regular hand sanitizer EVERYONE can smell it after). Also, how cute is the rubber attachment to hang it onto my purse? I love the attention to detail Fortune Cookie Soap pays to its products. Also, most people probably do not know this, but FCS named its hand sanitizer OCD for a reason— here is their explanation:

Although we love being witty, cheeky, and poking fun in general, we chose to name our hand sanitizer, OCD, to bring awareness to OCD itself. We donate a portion of the sales from that product to the OCD Foundation to further research on it. We chose to use the product OCD since that is the product that the people generally will jokingly say they have OCD when the use hand sanitizer a lot, so we believe it is the most recognizable to people.

Andy’s Toys Perfume Oil

Andy’s Toys Perfume Oil

Oh man, this smells so good. This perfume oil is made up of coconut milk, sea mist, and freshly picked cyclamens. What is a cyclamen, you ask? A beautiful flower that needs to scent more lovely things (A candle in this scent would be delightful). Cyclamen may be one of my new favorite scents!
Another cool thing about FCS is they sell “naked” products that you can then scent with their perfume oils! This body butter, for example, is scentless and waiting for a nicely scented perfume oil to spruce it up. Since this box came with a $10 digital coupon, I may be nabbing more scentless products so I can spread this lovely perfume oil everywhere.

Play Nice Personal Space spray

Play Nice Personal Space

This is a room spray that is lemon-lime scented, and it is very refreshing. It is not overbearing, and this is exactly the kind of scent I would want to spray in my room after making my bed with fresh sheets. I love the cheeky title of this spray as well— this will be my go-to spray for when I am done with people for a while and just need a break.

Reach For The Sky Fortune Cookie Soap

Reach For The Sky Fortune Cookie Soap

Ahhh! A fortune cookie shaped soap from Fortune Cookie Soap! With an actual fortune inside! This is so fun and cute and one of the main reasons I love this company. Not only that, but this scent is incredible! It is cucumber, citrus, and red apple, and it is so refreshing and invigorating. This is tied with Andy’s Toys for my favorite scents in the box, and I will be buying a perfume oil in this scent the next time they do a Create-Your-Own event.

You’re My Favorite Deputy Solid Sugar Scrub

You’re My Favorite Deputy Solid Sugar Scrub

This little square is small but mighty! Scented with vanilla, pears, and green apple gumdrops, this is a yummy scent that I enjoyed rubbing all over my body. This little solid sugar scrub exfoliates well, but the bar itself hasn't crumbled yet though it has been used a few times. When the scrub is washed away it leaves my skin SO moisturized and soft, I truly didn't need lotion after I got out of the shower.

Yee-Haw Toilet Bomb

Yee-Haw Toilet Bomb

The description for this scent is by far my favorite. It says “Ride like the wind, Bullseye! Not break wind…” This toilet bomb is a literal bath bomb for your toilet (it even fizzes!), and it can be used to deodorize or as an overnight deep cleaner. It is lightly scented with peach and jasmine, and it definitely deodorizes compared to just masking any smells. I think this is a really neat product to get in this box!

Star Command Whipped Cream

Star Command Whipped Cream

This whipped cream is luxuriously thick and very moisturizing. Since it is Buzz Lightyear themed, I love that the lotion is half purple and half green. It is watermelon salt-water taffy scented, and it this whipped cream makes me feel like summer is almost here.

Verdict: Once again, Fortune Cookie Soap Box hit a home run for me. All eight products were created with brand new scents, and the fruity sweet scents are perfect for a box revolved around a beloved childhood movie. An added feature is that these products are exclusive to this box— the items and scents will not be made available for sale on their website the way the monthly collections are. Though many of these sizes are a bit small, you can get multiple uses out of each product and the quality is incredible. I am quickly being converted to a Fortune-Freak, and I am not mad about it.

The Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you still sign up today? No, this was a limited edition box and no longer available for purchase. However, you can sign up for the monthly box and your first box will be the May box (which is Star Wars themed!).

Value Breakdown: This box cost $19.99 with free shipping and I received 8 items, bringing the cost per item to $2.50. I think that is a good value even though the sizes are small because these items are truly limited edition and will not be made available for sale.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

I’m still excited to get my box but it’s still in OK and apparently won’t arrive before 3/29. I wish it would’ve actually have shipped on 3/19.

I had no idea that this awesome company was Oklahoma based!!! Very cool. I love their creativity, and wish I could tolerate scented products 😕. I smile each month when I read about their little bundles of cleverness. Thanks for the great review!

Hi Chrissa! Thanks for reading. Just an FYI, they do have unscented products. They’re intending to be mixed with perfume oils to get the perfect scent, but it would be a great way to try the products as well!

Great Revoew.
I’m super excited to see your review since you’d said it was coming the other day. I should be getting mine in a few days and I’m so glad that I ordered this one the FOMO would’ve quickly turned to regret.

How were you able to get the box for $19.99 and with free shipping? When I looked on their website the monthly box was $28 with free shipping for the first box only.

Jessica Hapak

Hi Monah. This was a limited edition box separate from the monthly box, so the pricing was different.

Does anyone know if they use natural fragrances or more man made? I would love to get these but allergies have me worried…
