February 2018 Doki Doki by Japan Crate Review
There’s a pretty pamphlet that comes with this box that is full of info! This month’s box theme is “Made With Love,” full of goodies straight from the hearts of the Doki Doki creators. Other pages include featured images of the win-able Suteki Crate for the month, descriptions of the items in this month’s box, and my personal favorite, the adorable comic that’s always on the back! Now, let’s get to some items, shall we?
Hello Kitty Chocolate Molds
This box kicks off with a really useful kitchen item! I actually don’t like to bake that much, but surprisingly, I’ve been known to make candy for parties or treats for my friends. I make a bacon-rosemary chocolate bark that is prettttttty good, if I do say so myself! I’m excited to have these molds to work with. I want to make raspberry jam this summer, and I think it’ll make a divine filling for some white chocolate treats in these adorable shapes.
Pig Rice Bowl
Anyone hungry? This bowl is so sweet! The size is really nice because it’s a little on the smaller side. I could definitely see using it for rice, but I’d be more way more likely to put some ice cream in this.
Pokemon Ecobag
I am one of those people who always has tote bags kicking around my house, so I was quite happy to see this little fella! Boasting a portrait of Rowlet on the front, this bag-in-a-bag is going to be awesome for the upcoming farmers’ market season.
Little Twin Stars Chocolate Box
Though a perfect item to give chocolates to someone in, I have to say, I was disappointed this paper box didn’t contain any chocolates! I like the color palette and the design is super-cute, but since it’s just made from paper, it’s not a very sturdy item. It would be a cute way to make a gift even more special!
Mochi Plush
Ever since I was little, stuffed animals have always been my favorite kind of toy - and now, it’s all I ever want to buy for my friends’ kids! I received the Marupyon Bunny in this box, and she’s so cute. I think this would actually be an awesome prop pillow if I wanted to keep it for myself; the log shape lends itself well to use in the car, on a plane, etc. However, I will most likely find a new home for her with one of my favorite kiddos. I know she’ll be well-loved!
Verdict: I really enjoyed immersing myself in all things cute and Kawaii with this Doki Doki box! I thought this box had a really awesome variety of things, and items that I wouldn’t have thought of myself but will totally use, like the chocolate molds and the rice bowl. I love that there could be any sort of item in this box, and the surprises are always so much fun.
