BuddhiBox Yoga February 2018 Box Review

packing list for BuddhiBox

Here's the info card that came inside this month's box. At the top, it features a social media contest—if you snap a pic of your BuddhiBox and post it with the #buddhiboxyogis hashtag, you could win a $50 gift certificate to the BuddhiBox store.

There's also usually a card featuring a yoga pose. For this month they featured sphinx pose. This is a wonderful, restorative back bend that's accessible even for beginner yogis. Lately, this box has been featuring some more challenging poses, so it's nice that this time around they're highlighting something that everyone can try.

BuddhiBox also sometimes includes a mantra or mindful quote. This is a quote from Osho, it is nice and concise and would be a good one to chant!

green stone in BuddhiBox

Original Way Emerald Green Tanzurine Healing Stone — Listed Value $8

This makes my third piece of green Tanzurine that I've received this month since it was also included in the Essential Oils box and Jewelry box. They've all been different shapes, though relatively the same size, and are all so, so beautiful! I think it was included as a way of loosely representing love in this month that hosts Valentine's Day—I received my other two BuddhiBoxes earlier in the month, so they were a little better suited to that theme. How this stone relates is that the color green is said to symbolize symbolizes harmony, creativity, health, and abundance and is often associated with the heart chakra.

tea from BuddhiBox

Blend Bee Namastea, 0.5 oz. - Estimated Value $4.25

I wasn't able to find this exact herbal tisane blend on the Blend Bee website, so I linked to something that is similarly meant to promote relaxation and sleep. It's a mix of lemongrass, Indian ginseng, coconut flakes, carob, red rose petals, and passionflower. It's organic, caffeine-free, and vegan. In addition to being very relaxing, it's meant to aid in digestion and strengthen the immune system. If you like a floral-touched tea, then you'll like this one! On the front of the package is also a discount code for Blend Bee that I covered up for my review.

rose quartz lip balm in BuddhiBox

natural lip balm from BuddhiBox

Roxx Rose Quartz Lip Balm, 0.25 oz. - Retail Value $9

The Roxx website says, "If pink had a smell this balm is what it would smell like. Fluffy spun pink sugar yummyness," and, I'll tell you what, I'm inclined to agree! The scent is somewhere between bubblegum and cotton candy but in a really appealing and somehow not too processed type of way. I'm usually the first to pass on artificial-ish flavors and scents in favor of something more natural-seeming, but I really dug this lip balm. The balm itself is really smooth and hydrating, which I would imagine is thanks to the coconut oil, sweet almond oil, and avocado oil (all organic). The only other ingredients are candellila wax and phthalate-free essence oil (I guess they don't want to give away their secret for the scent!). There's also a small piece of rose quartz at the bottom. This would make a sweet gift for someone who isn't interested in keeping it for themselves—the rose quartz adds a nice, elevated touch so it isn't just a plain ol' lip balm.

rose quartz bracelet from BuddhiBox

BuddhiBox Rose Quartz Cuff — Listed Value $25

Next on the rose quartz theme is this pretty gold cuff. It’s partially wire-wrapped and features a chunky stone as the centerpiece. My first thought when I saw this bracelet was how lovely its natural stone was and my quick second thought was that said stone seemed really weighty. It did indeed want to flip around so the stone was under my wrist. I found that when I bent the cuff so that it hugged close to my wrist, it wasn’t as quick to roll upside-down, but then it wasn’t very comfortable. I'm not sure if I'll keep this piece for special occasions, gift it, or even donate it.

A similar style (same bracelet, but with a clear quartz stone) was also included in this month's BuddhiBox Jewelry box.

chocolate bar from BuddhiBox

Fine & Raw Brooklyn Bonnie Sea Salt Chocolate, 1 oz. — Listed Price $6 (Buy a 2 oz. bar here for $8.50)

My eyes lit up when I saw this chocolate bar because I am a real dark chocolate lover! I love that it's sweetened with organic coconut sugar, and it really isn't too sweet at all. If anything, it has a surprisingly orange-y taste to it, which is interesting considering there's nothing on the ingredients list that would suggest this flavor. This bar is small but rich, so I just enjoyed one square and saved the rest for later. Such a nice treat!

oils from BuddhiBox

kailo roll-on oil from BuddhiBox

essential oils from BuddhiBox

KAILO Heart Essence Roll-On Essential Oil, 10 ml – Retail Value $42.00

This is another product I'm familiar with, as I received it in my Essential Oils box this month, as well as my Yogi Surprise subscription this month. This heart chakra-themed oil is a vibrant blend of jojoba, bergamot, palmarosa, lavender, lemon, and geranium essential oils—all organic—and I love this blurb from the KAILO website: “Combined with organic essential oils and energetic/vibrational infusions, this Essence will restore balance to the heart chakra, leaving you feeling full of love and compassion for self and others, peaceful, and empathetic.” This BuddhiBox is the first time I've received it wrapped in bubble wrap, and I'm really glad it was because it was extremely leaky. The whole box was saturated to the point that it fell apart in my hands when I went to open it, and the bottle was only about 3/4 of the way full, as you can see from the photo. I imagine if I reached out to BuddhiBox or Kailo, they'd send me a new one, but since is the third one I've received, I won't bother.

This roll-on oil was also included in this month's BuddhiBox Essential Oils box.

The Verdict: I like the variety of products that came in this month's BuddhiBox. Since most folks probably aren't signed up to receive all 3 of BuddhiBox's subscriptions, some items that are repeats for me are probably more exciting for others! My favorite products from this month's box are the lip balm and the chocolate. Both are delish! This box cost $34.95 plus $5 shipping (so $39.95 total) and, based on a combination of estimated & list prices, contains almost $95 worth of products.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the March box. Order by the 8th of the month to receive that month's box.

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $34.95 + $5 shipping, which means that each of the 6 items in the box has an average cost of $6.66.
