Burgundy Fox Underwear Subscription January 2018 Review

When you first sign up for this subscription, they have you go through a "style profile" and tell them what you like and dislike so that they can send you undies that you'll love. I must admit that I have a lot of rules when selecting new undergarments, such as no lace (my acrylic nails rip holes through them immediately), no thongs (at this point, I choose comfort over VPLs), and mostly neutral colors. How boring, I know! So keep that in mind when you think of the poor stylist who had to fill my order. 😉

I first want to give kudos to whoever did the branding for Burgundy Fox. I'm loving the clean design and soft colorways. Plus: cute fox logo!

The first card says "Hey Gorgeous" on the front, with an uplifting and informative letter on the back. They've included their support email address as well as their social media handle.

There is also a cute handwritten welcome note from the founders.

5 pairs of blush underwear in boxes

I received five pairs of the "Pretty Little Panties" from Blush Lingerie in three colors as my first shipment.

blush underwear boxes

Each pair comes in its own box. They're made of 85% polyamide and 15% elastane. I accidentally photo'd the French side of the box (they're designed in Canada), but it says "Silky Microfiber Hipster". I've been called worse! (KIDDING)

As I mentioned, Burgundy Fox sent me five pairs of the same undies in different colors, starting with these "nude" numbers. Right away when I took them out of the box I could tell I would love how these felt on. The silky microfiber fabric is SUPER soft and, well, silky.

I mentioned hating thongs and being a "plain jane tomboy" when I signed up, so the hipster style they chose is perfect for me!

Up close, you can see the quality of the stitching and trim. I've already washed these about twice, and they're holding steady!

Blush Pretty Little Panties Hipster in Charcoal, 2 pairs - Retail Value $30.00 ($15.00 each)

When I was filling out my profile, I also mentioned that I wear a lot of grey and that it's my favorite color, so I'm happy to see these charcoal undies make an appearance (twice).

This color allows you to see the cute rump ruching a bit better, and let me tell you, they look EVEN CUTER on. I've always had a bit of a bubble butt and the ruching makes it POP.

I like the two-toned colorway with the charcoal microfiber and black lace trim.

The last two pairs I received came in solid black, my favorite color of underwear. 🙂 Black undies keep it simple and all of my go-to faves are in this dark hue.

Even though I said I was a tomboy and plain, I like that these let just enough of my bum cheeks hang out to feel a little flirty.

The lace brings a bit of interest to these, but without causing a scene from the outside of my jeans. Meaning, the VPLs here are not too bad because of the thin soft microfiber and low-profile lace. I think it's helpful to note that I ordered my usual size large (I'm normally a size 10 in jeans) and these fit like a dream.

Verdict: I'm over the moon with my first shipment from Burgundy Fox! They hit the nail on the head for "getting me" right out of the gate. I know a lot of people would probably want a little more excitement from their subscription, but I'd be happy as a clam if I got this shipment every quarter. That being said, I'd certainly love to see other patterns or styles too, but I like that they took my style comments seriously and matched me with my "dream drawers". The Blush panties I received have a retail value of $15.00 a piece (or $11.00 each if you buy 3 for $33.00), so either way, I've still come out ahead by paying $49.00 for 5 and getting free shipping.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Since everyone has different style profile answers, you probably won't get the same items I did.

Value Breakdown: At $49.00 for this box, you're paying $9.80 per pair of undies.

I keep hoping an underwear sub will offer cute styles that are (close to) 100% cotton. Isn’t that supposed to be best for female health?

Michelle- I have heard that too. Not to say that they don’t offer them here. It looks like they’ll soon have a store on their site to better see what options you may receive, plus if you were to mention wanting cotton only in your style profile, that may help!

Super cute undies!

Ugh, the “P” word. That the little boxes say Pretty Little P’word, ew. There are only a few words that makes shudder, and that’s number 1. Nice underwear, otherwise. A little too expensive for me. I usually spend no more then $7 a pair.

Haha- I hear you, Aarjullor. All the more reason to subscribe to something like this: never have to hear a salesperson at a store actually say that word out loud…

Good looking out! The bright side, just reading it and not hearing it lol

Oh my word, I had to go back up and read the boxes as I began to think it said a totally different “p” word hahahahahahaha! I have actually heard a sales gal at LB call them panties lol and it is rather cringe worthy. I personally use the word undies but just my thing.

This looks like a great sub. I’m really into neutrals and comfort.

Agree that the fox logo is really cute. It reminds me of a planner template that I bought on Etsy from Jayden’s Apple.

That, and the cactus templates, are sooo cute!!!

They really reduced their price by one single dollar?

I have to say that is some pretty nice underwear!

I never wear neutral clothes, but I reach for neutral undies more than any others. Because I just don’t want, say, bright red showing through a light-colored dress, or to be out of everything but purple at the end of the week. I am also all about comfort at my age.

I never bought new underwear after I lost weight in 2016 so none of mine fits quite right. If the sizes go small enough I’d consider this sub (my favorite underwear from before the weight loss does NOT go down to my current size).
