For those of you that got the Indie box in the past, do you think is worth the money? For me with taxes and shipping, it comes up to 150. Not sure if I want to drop that much money for sample sizes.

Purchased and am also debating on the Indie box. I have been hoping that Cult Beauty will have a gwp as I am still interested in the box by Caroline Hiron. Plus waiting for Barney’s gwp as a couple of boxes I would like there too. Perhaps I should use up some of my stock first or at least sort and donate some to the women’s shelter.

What is the Indie box?

Hi Connie, last year Cult Beauty’s first GWP goodie bag for the year was in early March. 🙂

Thanks Luna. Hopefully the Caroline Hiron is still available. Feels like not such a splurge when you get something extra with it.

Hi Connie,

Barneys love yourself GWP is usually in February and so is SpaceNK Beauty Edit so unless you absolutely must buy now, maybe you can wait a little longer to get all the freebies.
I bought the Indie box because the products are unique so they aren’t typically in Barneys or SpaceNK and I love new discoveries. I’m saving some $$$ for Barney’s and SpaceNK.

I feel like it was just Black Friday and now, it’s February gifting time. How time flies!

Thank you Karen. I will definitely be able to hold out for the February specials. Skin care items are the items I treat myself to. Still on the fence on the Indie box but think I will be sorry if I do not get and it sells out. If I recall you also have guided me on Byredo candles. I just purchased Tom Dixon candles which I have not tried before but they were on sale on Net-a-Porter plus an additional 20% off.

I don’t get the $85 dollars for this bag of samples. I understand a lot of these products are expensive but these are samples which means half a tube and the other half is air. Maybe you can do one side of your face once. Definite pass on this on seems like a rip off to me

Those sound like Birchbox samples to me!! 😀

Already purchased. I know it looks crazy expensive for sample sizes but these products are ultra luxe and I’m excited to give them a try. I’m not sure what I’ll do if I fall in love with a $300 product. Also, Net A Porter has amazing service, packaging, and delivery.

I agree! I think they have the best packaging out of any place I purchase from. 🙂

Luna, thanks for letting all of us know via Liz. Somehow, I am not getting NAP’s emails..
Got my Ultimate Renew Beauty Kit. : ) Love the brands!!

Tamara

There are some crazy expensive products in there! The 111Skin, at one third the full size, is worth over $115!! The Omorovicza is a little under one third full size but it’s one of, if not the, most expensive products they make, making this sample worth over $70! Kat Burki is also super expensive, but this is a little under 1/4 size so it’s worth about $32. And the Lilah b is full size ($48.)

Still, for ME, it looks like the products I’d be most likely to use are the less expensive ones. So I’m not sure it’s worth it for me.

The 111 Skin Y Theorem Repair Serum sample alone is worth $117, these are all luxury skin care products.

This should say free with $85 purchase, right? I mean, how is this (cheap looking) plastic bag full of sample sized product $85???! This should be at most $25. I’m confused. What am I missing? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Tamara

You’re probably missing how insanely expensive most of these products are. I haven’t totalled them ALL up, but what I have comes to well over $300. And most of these are about 1/4 to 1/3 full size, so they’re good sizes.

Yeah, I just did the math too and it turned out to be just about $396! Like… whaaat?! The sizes are tiny though! Even if something turned out to be amazing, you’d only get like 2-3 uses out of it! That’s crazy for an $85 price tag!

Jessica

Oooooh fancy.
But is it 85$ fancy when all the items are samples? Yet to be determined.
But still fancy.
