The box had a beautiful kind of pearlescent quality to it that doesn't show well in these photos– I've never seen that before in any subscriptions I've reviewed, and I thought it was a really nice touch!

This intro letter from the co-founder of this box really doesn't waste any time getting to the point! I'm definitely an introvert and suffer from my fair share of imposter syndrome, so I've definitely had those feelings of shame about not being an outgoing, talkative socialite in my life.

I Thought It Was Just Me by Brene Brown, Ph.D, LMSW – Retail Value $17 (found on sale here for $13.04)
This book selection directly deals with the ideas presented on the intro card. The description on the back mentions the idea that imperfections and vulnerabilities are human and what connects us to each other. This has a 4.5-star rating on Amazon with over 700 reviews, so it seems like a popular choice on this topic, too.
I'll admit that I actually feel a little bit of shame about the fact that I enjoy self-help books, but I do. Is that ironic? I prefer nonfiction and I love learning about the brain and psychology, and the idea that understanding how things work can help give you more control over them, so this book is up my alley.

Orchard Farm Soap in Ginger Pumpkin – Retail $7 (found on sale here for $6.30)
This soap smells so good! It's a spicy mix of ginger and clove that feels perfect for the winter holiday season.
It's got a generous lather, too, and has left my hands feeling super soft. I never buy fancy soap for myself so it's always a treat to get one in a subscription box!
Butter Depot Vanilla Whipped Butter, 8 oz – Retail Value $20
This jar of body butter is pretty glorious, and a little goes a long way.
The fragrance was strong to me and the application was a bit greasy, but it does settle within a few minutes to a nice soft finish. It's a nice treat after a relaxing bath, but not something I'd be likely to use every day.
Pumpkin Pie Candle by Kandela Candle Company – Estimated Value $7
I love soy candles, and this is a good one!
The fragrance is definitely a pleasant, cozy "autumn" smell with just a bit of spiciness.
Lucy's Gluten-Free Cinnamon Thin Cookies – Retail Value $1? (Buy a 24-pack for $24.47)
I always appreciate when a box includes a snack, so I dove right into these when I opened the box up. I've had Lucy's snacks before but I had never tried these thin cinnamon cookies.
These were soooo crunchy! They were a nice light sweet treat, perfect with a cup of coffee.
Teacup & Saucer Set – Retail ?
This little ceramic tea set is super sweet, but felt a little out of place to me. It's cute and reminds me of a cup that we have from my husband's grandmother's teacup collection, but I don't think it's necessarily everyone's cup of tea (pun intended, with apologies).
I'm also not too familiar with the wide world of teacups and saucers, so I have no idea how to value it. I tried searching around but prices range so widely that I don't feel comfortable putting a single dollar value on this item.
It's not really my style, so I'll probably end up passing this item on. It does, however, pair perfectly with our next item...
2 oz Amitea Organic Tea, Lemon Rooibos – Retail Value $9
This tea arrived at the perfect time, as I was a little under the weather and was drinking all of the tea I could get my hands on.
The 2 oz bag is sizable and should make a lot of tea! I've already had 4 or 5 cups and I feel like I haven't even dented it.
I'm not typically a fan of rooibos teas, but this is downright delicious. It's lemony without being too lemony, somehow. The ingredients include lemon zest but also herbs like lemon myrtle, lemongrass, lemon balm, and lemon verbena. It's very well balanced and was a nice relaxing cup to help me get over my cold!
I enjoyed this item the most out of everything in the box and it will probably last the longest, too. Nothing like cozying up with a cup of hot tea and a book now that winter is here!
Verdict: The Wallflower Box was a thoughtfully curated little collection of goodies that would be perfect for a relaxing, rejuvenating night in. That said, I'm not sure if it's particularly introvert specific, at least this month– I think pretty much anyone who enjoys a nice bath and a nonfiction book would enjoy this box! Nonfiction book subscriptions seem pretty hard to come by, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this box for that reason alone. I liked that all of the items other than the book and teacup were from smaller brands, too.
Two things to note about my overall experience: I don't think the items in the box and the book are particularly related, even though I still enjoyed all of the items individually. I think it's better to think of this box as two separate experiences: the educational reading aspect and the relaxing, quiet time aspect. I personally would also prefer a quarterly option for this box instead of monthly, but that might just be my own slow pace of reading talking.
