I got mine and it was a small 1951 bag when it was supposed to be MEDIUM. I guess I need to contact them…..Argh!

I was really liking some of these boxes then I read the comments above and no, thank you. (Too bad, most of the boxes I would have bought either do not ship to Canada or charge a stupid amount for shipping – looking at you, Shopkins. $20 to ship a $30 box? )

But I don’t appreciate bait and switch tactics such as showing one size bag in pics and getting something smaller, or seeing a display that shows what I gather is three bracelets (like that effect) when you are getting a single one. Yes, the description says “one” but when you look at the images, it’s easy to be deceived. And inflating retail values is beyond shady. Now I understand that various retailers will sell a cream for various prices during the year, but if something is easily available for say $50, just because it cost $200 one time at launch doesn’t make the RV $200..
At the end of the day it is just poor management. You can trick people once but it would be much better practice to honestly show and state what you offer and delight customers with delivering more than they expect – then they become loyal long term customers. Knock another one off the list… I guess its just easier this year to go and buy individual items from Sephora and Nordstrom’s and Holt Renfrew – I’d rather choose which candle I spend $80 on.

I really like this subscription – it’s actually one of my favorites but I think the costs are a little high ($160+). I’m surprised they didn’t organize them with maybe 1 or 2 less items and offer a coupon. I’ll pass for now – too many deals.

I have a REAL problem with the fact that they’re showing pictures of 1951s in XL and XXL when they’re actually mediums. It’s incredibly deceptive if you don’t know what the medium size actually is. It’s way small.

I agree. Every 1951 pic shows the bag on a chain or having tabs for a chain, which the mediums and smalls do not have. Not everyone who orders will be familiar enough with the brand to know the medium can’t be used on a chain, which is going to lead to some disappointed buyers.

Ooh I did not know that! So glad I came by to read the comments, thank you @Paige

I agree. The photos are deceptive for the Les Nereides items, as well. They show more jewelry pieces than are included in the box, & they show a different (similar) heart necklace than the ones that are being sent.

So basically is Oui Please like Glossybox: French Edition?

Frenchie

Hahahahaaa! They’re not even French. The company is based in Dallas, TX. Good ‘ole USA 🙂

In terms of customer service?

Janie

worse, if you can imagine it….

Purchase at your own risk. The items you get may be different than what is pictured (as this recently happened with their quarterly box), if you get your items at all.

Those prices don’t feel like a deal to me. Of course, if you’re going to add in that gold cream that’s supposedly worth $200, it’s easy to say that the RV of a box is $509. However, most of these items can be purchased on sale at some point (Les Nereides always has a sale section on their site for example). Box 4 is $330! They list the Maison Francaise bag as being a size medium, but doesn’t it look much larger on the model?? I have some large sized ones that don’t seem that big…I’m going to wait for in-store sales to spend such large $$$ amounts, but hope some people are happy with these boxes. Cheers!

The “$200” Gold 48k Paris Skin Cream is on sale at Tradesy for less than $47.99 right now (including shipping). They say their original listing value for that item is $49.99 on Tradsey (not $200). Seems like an inflated RV item to boost the box.

Angel

I meant to say FOR 47.99 (not less than). Sorry!

Brooke

FYI: Some of these boxes say they contain MEDIUM size 1951s, but show pictures of larger sizes. I don’t believe mediums have loops for chains – so people may be disappointed.

I just cross posted the same question. Those look like xl or xxl size ones to me on the model…

Stephanie

I asked OuiPlease via chat if any contain an XL…she confirmed all are medium except one box contains a Large.

Paige

Box 1 has a large 1951, the rest are medium.
