You'll find a lovely info card that lists all of the items, plus where you can buy more of them. My only wish is that they used a larger font size! My terrible eyes had to squint to see the deets!

Herbivore Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist back of Herbivore Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist Herbivore Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist with cap off

Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist by Herbivore Botanicals, 2 oz. - Retail Value $16

The first item is a two-ounce bottle of Herbivore Botanical's Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist. This all-natural coconut-water based mist is to be used after cleansing, but before moisturizing, like you would use a toner. The rose scent is very subtle and just spritzing it on my face made me feel a tad bit more refreshed immediately. Hibiscus petals will help restore a youthful glow to your skin while the rose will hydrate. I love the classy packaging here as well. As I've said before, I am a sucker for glass bottles and minimal labels. 😍

Cap Beauty The Neat Matcha Stick back of Cap Beauty The Neat Matcha Stick

The Neat Matcha Stick by CAP Beauty - Retail Value $3

Everyone I know loves matcha and this little packet will give you a little punch of antioxidants no matter where you are. I am partial to matcha lattes but you can add this to hot or cold water to keep your dairy intake low. The directions say to mix with just 3 ounces of water, so this looks to be more of a shot of goodness than a whole decadent drink experience, but you can enjoy it however you'd like!

100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Overnight Face Oil by Shea Moisture, 1 oz. - Retail Value $9.99

I've been dabbling in face oils thanks to subscription boxes, and this is one of the lightest ones I've come across! Made of all natural and fair trade ingredients like grapeseed oil, shea butter, and virgin coconut oil, this 1-ounce bottle comes complete with a dropper to apply a small amount to your skin at night, after cleansing. It immediately started absorbing into my skin and didn't feel heavy or overly oily at all. Between this and the Rose Hibiscus Mist, I should be waking up every morning looking like a teenager, right?

Honest Hazel Under Eye Gels directions for Honest Hazel Under Eye Gels Honest Hazel Under Eye Gels out of package Honest Hazel Under Eye Gels

Honest Hazel Under Eye Gels - Estimated Value $3.60 (Buy a pack of 10 for $36)

Look, I am tired at all times and rarely get enough sleep because there is just too much I want to do in a day. My normal attitude is "I'll sleep when I'm dead", which I realize isn't a healthy way to go through life, but between work, adulting, friends, romantic endeavors, obligations, and #metime, what's a gal to do? You can imagine the bags I carry with me under my eyes, so these gels are a welcome beauty product. I popped these on for a little over 20 minutes (directions say 20-25) but didn't really see any difference in my dark circles after one treatment. They are super gelly and chilly when you put them on, but, truth be told, they did keep slipping from the corner of my eyes (where I need them most). Since they include aloe and cactus collagen, I could see these being super helpful for puffiness or redness, but I may need more treatments to really get after those dark circles that seem to be a permanent fixture of my face.

Shea Moisture Kukui Youth-Infusing Mud Mask back of Shea Moisture Kukui Youth-Infusing Mud Mask

Kukui Youth-Infusing Mud Mask by Shea Moisture, 0.5 oz. - Estimated Value $1.33 (Buy a 6 oz jar for $15.99)

Clay masks are by far my favorite type of mask! This particular one includes more pro-youth ingredients like grapeseed oil, kukui nut, avocado oil, and olive leaf extract. I will soon look like a toddler after this box! The whole process is fun for me. This 0.5-ounce packet contains about two masks worth, which is one more than I was expecting. The clay is a thick light grey color when you put it on, then dries to an even lighter cream shade as it hardens. I love the feeling of tightness on my face over the course of the ten minutes they suggest you leave it on, and I got a faint almond scent from it (yum). Once dry, you simply wash it off to reveal firm, soft skin that really feels refreshed!

Oui Fresh Lipstick in "As If" - Retail Value $20

Wow- this is a DEEP yet bright powerful pink color! I haven't been using creamy tube lipstick for a long while, so this was a nice break from all of my matte liquid lipsticks. First off, this is SUPER creamy and hydrating. It glided on and felt like it made my lips super soft. I test-drove it to get drinks with my friend Kelly and it stayed on through two cocktails without any worry. I wouldn't consider this a cold-weather color, but I suppose it's nice to have this bright pop on my lips as the leaves fall off the trees and it gets dark at 5 pm. The only downside (for me) with this, is that the pigment is strong and it stained my lips after taking it off. It lingered until the next morning, which made me have to work extra hard to get it off of my lips. Maybe some people like a staining lipstick like that? Overall- I really like this color and think the formula is great!

Verdict: I'm pretty impressed with the very first Oui Fresh Beauty Box! All of the products were relevant to my interests, and I received a few full-size products that I wouldn't have found otherwise. After totaling everything up, the retail value came to about $54 which is quite a steal since the cost of the box was only $36.99 ($29.99 a month + $7 shipping). The face oil and lipstick were probably my favorites of the box and I was happy to try out the Oui Fresh formula that ended up being super hydrating!

Thanks for awesome as always review, Marne! I’ve been using Shea Moisture’s Youth-Infusing cleanser and it’s great. I can really see a difference around my mouth. I got a sample of it from a Walmart box. I didn’t know about the oil and mask.

It’s too bad this review came after the box is sold out 🙁

Marne,

You are so refreshingly honest and direct in your reviews. I always enjoy your reviews and I’m not sure why, but you always make me smile. So thank you for that!

FYI, that lipstick is not always an easy color to pull off, but it looks fantastic on you!

That face Mist is (or at least it was) at TJmaxx for 4 or 5$! I like the direction this sub is going with their first box but for me to sub I’m looking for a higher value with more unknown products, I mean the shea moisture brand is at Walmart

Are you sure it was a face mist from Herbivore? Just asking because I know they have face mists from a brand called Pearlesense (sp) that has packaging extremely similar to Herbivore’s.

Hmmm- interesting that you pointed this out. I definitely received Herbivore which is also what is listed on the info card. Not sure about the origins of who had the packaging first, but you’re right: very similar!

Kavya Putluri

Exactly this, they are not Herbivore. Pearlesence seems to have an exact same packaging. Font is same too.

I need that face mist, I just started using face drops from Oz Naturals with Hyaluronic acid and my face feels soft as a babies bum after using it.

Hahaha, I’m so glad you posted that, I was just thinking, didn’t I JUST see that face mist at TJ Maxx for around $5 yesterday!

I sometimes feel like some boxes are like Marshalls/TJ gatherings–especially since both of those stores are currently loaded with Pineapple tumblers/shakers at this very moment.

Luna

That’s funny you say that, because especially when I’m in the home department of TJ Maxx or Marshalls, or in Home Goods, I feel like I’m in a huge lifestyle box, since I can see all of those things being in any given lifestyle box. 😀
