I was very tempted by this offer, but I was concerned that some items may be made in China, so I didn’t order. I’ve heard that some eyeshadow palettes are made in China.

There is no clear information on the Tarte website about where each product is made.

Tarte only has a vague statement about products being made in various countries and something about ‘high standards’. That’s all fine, but WHERE was that item made?!

I agree with others. The first time I got one of these kits I was excited to try the different products and obviously it is a good deal. But this time I impressed myself by not giving in. Just because it’s a good deal doesn’t mean I need the products, and I too was disappointed that there weren’t more foundation choices. Their brushes are pretty but I never use them. However, the actual bags are always nice.

I scored one. I love the hybrid gel foundation, but it breaks me out. I chose the loose powder foundation, a blush, the energy noir lip tint, black gel eyeliner, LE lights camera lashes, the powder brush and the black bag.
I have the purple bag from the last sale and love it. I’m excited for the mascara and eyeliner and I’m a blush addict.

It wasn’t worth the hassle for the boxy LE. A bunch of grown women acting like children on the internet.
Ps. MSA, you did nothing wrong sharing that link. Yosef told us we could share it. The site was going to have problems regardless. I’m sorry the children, I mean grown women are acting like the world ended last night and it’s all your fault.

I agree with every word you said!!!!

I wasn’t part of the Boxy Charm Limited Edition crowd but just read the comments about it. People, no matter how old they are, are entitled to share their frustrations and opinions. There were people spending hours trying to check out, people kept getting error messages and people getting charged for boxes they didn’t purchase, among other things. It’s uncouth for someone to call other people children when you have zero understanding of what they went through, albeit small or big. PS. If MSA chooses to share the link, they bear the responsibilities for sharing the link.

But honey, at the end of the day it is just a box. Not worth getting mad over, if it did not work then don’t spend your time on it. There are millions of other things to spend your money on. MSA was allowed to share the link, that does not may them responsible for the site crashing. Plenty of sites get much more traffic, boxycharm themselves were not prepared. There was no need to name call over a $50 box of beauty products.

I picked out some things and was ready to buy this, then realized that most of the options are not anything I actually need or particularly want. The foundations are too dark for my Casper skin tone, I wanted to try the maneater mascara and that isn’t an option. I just got a full-size blush from the Allure box and I have numerous highlighters. So really, the only thing that would be on my list is the foundation brush and I already picked one out to get with the Sephora VIB discount this weekend.
I was so excited to see this, then I saw the choices and now I’m meh. I’m sure I will make up for it, between the VIB sale, black friday sales, etc…
This is a great set and a good deal, just not for me with the limited choices.

No thanks, I got this last time and still have the Gel foundation. Need more products, always the same products and a few limited ed their trying to get rid of. Plus two weeks ago their site got hacked and credit cards were exposed.

Wish there were more/different options for foundation and lips. Would rather try the water foundation or the BB tinted moisturizer for a base and a color splash hydrating lipstick or creamy matte lip paint for the lips. If those would of been options I would of definitely done it cause the value is AMAZING but I’ve already got quite a few things in my Sephora cart with the sale going on this weekend so imma pass. Great concept but just need better options!

The BB tinted moisturizer is fantastic. I used it for light coverage/blurring on vacations and weekends or as a primer in the summer (too dry for me in winter). I was thinking they should offer that and some finishing powder or something in the foundation category for the many people who have deeper or lighter skin tones that don’t match the 3 choices in that category.

If that was an option and if the maneater mascara was in there, I’d have ordered already and used the items I don’t need for gifts!

Yeah like the Smooth Operator powders or they could of done a primer and specifically the Timeless Smoothing because that is a fantastic primer for large pores. I’ve tried the Empowered Hybrid Gel foundation before and it’s actually not too bad except for the insane fragrance. It smells awful to me and I’m not a powder foundation person so the other options were super unappealing. Lashpaint or Maneater would of been way better mascara options. When I was considering purchasing it I was going to get the Lights, Camera, Lashes in the LE packaging because I love the iridescent packaging but I haven’t used that mascara in ages and last time I tried it I wasn’t a fan. Overall just poor selection for the categories but it seems like they’re just trying to unload excess and limited edition stock.

The kit is such a treat and everything comes so well matched and packaged, but I got it the last time around . . . and I didn’t end up using the actual products much. I’ll be passing this time.

I would recommend for first-timers though.

Same here, and I am giving myself a pat on the back for not caving in again just because it’s a good deal.

I think I fall for Tarte too easily, but since I have tried so many of their products through these types of deals, I now know that my favorite Tarte products are the eyeshadows and the lip products and will just stick to those. <3

I gave in and bought a kit. I’m a weak woman.

Regardless if the items are on clearance or not, this is still a great deal. Each item is about $11 not including the bag. I love this deal!! It’s one of the best!!

Jessica

I wear their airbrush powder foundation on a daily basis and I’ve been wanting to the corresponding brush which was offered this time around.

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

The matching brush works so well! If you like the foundation, I think you’ll like it even more with the brush. –Signed, a second airbrush foundation enthusiast named Jessica 😂

I was hoping Tarte would run another deal like this soon. Thanks to MSA for the notification!

Jane

FYI I tried every code I could find but none worked. Good luck to anyone if they found one. It’s still a good deal either way!

Hmm should I get this kit only because I want that eyeliner with the kitty on the cap?

Reply ButtonReply

Elena

There is limited-edition sex kitten squad lash & line set for $16 with a kitty liner. 😉

Julie B.

Thanks Elena! I was actually building a kit, then thought it might be better to buy a few of their sale items that I really want. There are good palettes on sale.

Emily

Got one and it is an awesome deal, but slightly bummed that so much of what’s offered this round is on clearance.

Chan

going to skip and get boxy charm LE box instead!!

Reply ButtonReply

Svetlana7e

I got so excited when I saw it, but when I went to pick up the items, it was not that good. Last time I end up with three bags and this time same product. Going to skip this time.

heather

BORING!! they only let you choose from 3 foundations, all of which have been on deep discount from Ulta within the last few months, and the majority of that stuff has been on clearance/sale on the tarte website for ages, excluding the mascara.

Reply ButtonReply

Theresa

YES! No kidding, I was thinking about this the other day. SO excited!
I love tarte products and can’t wait!
Thank you for sharing, Liz!!

I had all my stuff picked out and I was so excited but then I realized I still have one set from the last sale I haven’t used (I bought 2). Plus I want to save my money for the LE Boxy Charm coming out.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

Also, last time there was a coupon and I got mine for like $52. Plus, the options were much better!

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

I still have a set, too!! lol

Reply ButtonReply

Sheila

I am having such a hard time making this decision now!! The products are great, but I also REALLY want the LE Boxy Charm!!! Ugh, I think I will wait and see if anyone has a promo code to get the cost down, or just wait and get the LE Boxy Charm, at least that will be something different (the Tarte items are the same as last time and I still have some of those items)!

Reply ButtonReply

Dana

Oh, dear. That’s a good point. I really want that LE Boxy box. I really only need foundation from Tarte; maybe I should just stick with that….

Reply ButtonReply

Dana

Yaaassss!!!!!!!!! I’ve been waiting for one of these!

Reply ButtonReply

Liz L

Only wish they would offer Shape Tape as an option under Foundation and make the category Foundation/Concealer or something.

Reply ButtonReply

Cat

They have no incentive to offer that item, since it’s their best seller even at full price.

Reply ButtonReply

LoriW.

That’s what I was hoping for! Shape tape is the only thing I really need.

Reply ButtonReply

Natalie

I totally agree!!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Patti

That would be AWESOME!
