This leaflet was included in my package. This month’s focus is Thailand! Inside is some information about the charities that International Blessings currently works with. This month’s Cause of the Month is Thai Village, a charity that helps support economic self-sufficiency and Christian education in Thailand. The back of the leaflet includes some information about the items included, plus social media information for International Blessings.
This macrame bracelet is so beautiful! It is handmade in Thailand from wooden beads with waxed linen thread. Waxed thread is really a great material for cuffs like this because it holds its shape well but is still somewhat malleable. It just makes me kind of sad that someone would put so much work into creating a beautiful piece like this by hand and then see it on clearance for $3. I will definitely wear this!
Turquoise Rock Candy Necklace – Retail Value $14?
This necklace is no longer available on the Thai Village website, but I linked to the same necklace in a different color. All the long Rock Candy necklaces are $14. I am so pleased I got turquoise! It’s possible my favorite stone! This is also macrame with waxed linen thread. It gives it a very unusual shape as it hangs.
Silver “Tumbleweed” Earrings – Value $14
These silver earrings are so pretty! I like that they are kind of small but very unusual and detailed! I think I will get a lot of use out of these!
The Verdict: I think International Blessings is doing great and important work with their subscription service! I loved all my jewelry, but I can’t decide if I like the bracelet or earrings more. They are both beautiful! I also love feeling like I’m helping global artisans support themselves and other important causes. The value of everything this month matches the cost of the box, but honestly, I feel like the handmade pieces are worth so much more. I’m happy!
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the December box which ships by 12/6.
