Love Fresh Pear Lotion, 8 oz. - Retail Value $22

Gahhhh- I LOVE this lotion! I've had it on my desk for a while now and have been using it daily to combat my dry hands. It's the perfect consistency of not too thick, not too thin, and absorbs gradually to leave my skin feeling super silky and hydrated. The pear scent is a little heavy at first, but I still love it, especially after it fades a bit.

Mai Couture Blotting Paper, 60 sheets - Retail Value $10

I used to use blotting papers waaay back in the day, so I'm happy to see these in the box this month. I'd love to get back into using them since my skin tends to get greasy throughout the day (especially in the ol' T-zone), which makes my makeup slowly slide off. These blotting papers contain vitamins C and E, so as you're removing unwanted shininess, you're adding good stuff back in. The package says it won't disturb makeup, so I gave these a shot late in the day with a full face. They were right! Nothing came off, but it left my forehead look a little less greazzzzy. I'll be popping these into my purse for future uses.

Artifact Lip Masque in Honey Marshmallow - Retail Value $21

Helllloooooo, Lover! I have found my new BFF for the winter months and am just obsessed with this lip masque! Gorgeous minimal packaging? Check. Exquisite-smelling? Check. Actually works? Uhhhh... check! The flavor is Honey Marshmallow but I really get a honey and lemon scent from this which. I. Adore. Putting a beauty product on at night that works its magic while I sleep is one of my great joys, and this lip masque delivers. It is thick yet soft, and has some sugar in it for a light scrub, although not as much as a legit lip scrub would have. There is the tiniest hint of a tingle in there too. I leave this on my nightstand and have added it to my nighttime routine so I wake up with ultra-moisturized smackers.

One Over One Duotone Cream Color in Rare Poppy - Retail Value $36

More gorgeous packaging! In another life, I would have been a package designer for beauty products, and stuff like this is why! I am gaga over the little resealable pouch that the beautiful minimal clear compact comes in. The rare poppy duo comes with a subtle copper tone, matched with a super light peachy pink hue that is similar to the blush I already normally use. Both are incredibly creamy and buildable so you can use a little, or pack on more for a bolder look. It's wonderful to see that a tutorial is included on their blog as well to show the many ways to use these two complementary colors. I'm stoked to have a quick little palette to add color to my cheeks and lips at a moment's notice using only my finger.

Verdict: This Botanic + Terre box has a retail value of $89, which is well over it's $40.99 price tag. I thought they curated a wonderful group of products that not only looked gorgeous but also worked wonders and has me excited to try new things! I prefer getting fewer items with higher values, so this is a great box for me. The lotion and lip masque came out on top for me, with the duotone cream color making me drool over its minimal-designed packaging

I get oily in my t-zone too and used to use blotting papers, but I started using a mattifying powder from Southern Magnolia Minerals and I like it a lot better. It lasts for about three hours for me, so I do have to reapply, but it’s totally worth it.
