Marc Jacobs Beauty released three new Mystery Beauty Bags, all containing full-size Marc Jacobs Beauty Products. They came in a Mini Bag ($29 for $49 value), a Major Tote ($49 for $101 value), and Big Shopper ($99 for $170 value). These are sold out now, but they seem to release these every 3-ish months so be sure to sign up for My Subscription Addiction for release alerts!

Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer in 120 Delphine - .43 oz, Value $18

I saw a lot of people guessing a nail polish would be included in the mini bag on our original release alert post about these bags, and they were right!

The shade I received was #120 Delphine. They describe it as an “opaque smoky purple grey,” and I agree. In some lights, it could also lean a little mocha, too.

The first coat went on pretty non-opaque, though, and streaky. Then the second coat fixed everything! I still preferred it with a third coat but it was still fine with just two. (Photo of this polish applied below)

Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer in 332 Hot Hot Hot - .16 fl oz, Value $28

The other item in my mini mystery bag was a lip gloss. I’ve tried one or two shades of this MJ gloss formula before, which I liked, so I was happy to see this in here too. (Although personally I just generally prefer lipsticks.)

This shade, Hot Hot Hot, is described as a Bright Fuschia. I like this formula because it’s very glossy without being sticky, it’s moisturizing, and it has good wear time for a lip gloss.

It looks like a super bright color in the tube, but here I had to swatch this three times to build the color up a bit. It’s definitely not an opaque gloss so if the brightness intimidates you, you can totally keep it toned down a bit.

Here’s what the lip gloss looks like on me. It’s really comfortable and a bright, pretty pink without being too statement.

Here’s what the nail polish looks like applied. This is three coats, no top coat.  I’m happy with the shine, finish, and the color! This will be great to wear all Fall/Winter.

The Verdict: Overall, I was happy with this Marc Jacobs Beauty Mini Mystery Bag. I wasn’t blown away, but I know I like most everything from Marc Jacobs Beauty so this was a fun way to grab some new items for a good deal. The price was $29 for a promised $49 in value, but the value really adds up to $46 so apparently, they fudged that slightly, but I really like both of my items so I’m still happy with the discount I did get.

What do you think about the latest Marc Jacobs Mini Mystery Bag? Did you grab one, or one of the larger bags? If so, what did you get?

I got the medium one. Nail polish, lip gloss and lipstick. Also got a highliner using a code. I’ll use everything but it wasn’t that exciting. Pic:

I got the medium and I received a nail lacquer in Pearl Jam (shimmery pink but not glittery), Highliner in Obey-Ge (also a shimmery pink), lip gloss in Whip It (bold iridescent magenta), and lipstick in Clara (bold rose/bright magenta). I really like everything I received and it seems like it was selected within a limited color palette since the nail lacquer and eyeliner match and the two lip products match.

I’d love to swap for the Intro(vert) eyeliner from the large bag, if anyone has one they don’t want. Click on my name to go to my profile.

I just bought the nail polish at a tj maxx for $4 so I’m glad I didn’t give in

Me too! Lovely Fall color. Definitely looks more purple in the bottle and mocha on my nails. Definitely Worth $4

Loved this review! Would love a review of the other two, if possible?
