Dolphin Stickers - Retail Value $2.10 (found on sale here for $1.47)

These puffy plastic dolphin stickers are super cute and I recently found out how much Sarah liked dolphins as a kid, so I think I'm going to pass this on to her. I have so many stickers right now, I can share the wealth without getting FOMO.

Little Twin Stars No-show Socks - Retail Value $3.20 (found on sale here for $2.24)

Little Twin Stars are sort of underrated Sanrio characters in my book. They aren't as exciting as some of the others, but they are consistently cute and kinda lay low because they seem shy to me. I wear a lot of sneakers, so when it's summer, I wear a lot of no-show socks to cut down on how much fabric is touching my over-heated body. Since we are getting into colder months now, these were an odd choice, but I will still hold on to them for one of those weird mid-Fall hot days. They're nice and thin, the way short socks like these should be, and feature the girl twin star with stripes of pink. The only real bummer is that these don't have grippies on the inside, so they have the potential to slide off of my foot.

Dessert Erasers, Set of 2 - Retail Value $2.10 (found on sale here for $1.47)

Many Japanese pencils don't come with built-in erasers, so you often need separate ones to fix any mistakes. These erasers come in the form of what I believe to be a star cookie with frosting and a cute little cupcake treat. The two-pack is random, so you may get a different set!

Harajuku Macaron Keychain - Retail Value $3.40 (found on sale here for $2.38)

It is a mystery to me what the G on this means. Even more mysterious, why are there fries involved with this sweet French treat? I happen to love really chunky plastic keychains though, so I am feeling this pink macaron that has a rose gold keyring and plastic pastel balls hanging from it. It almost seems like this should unscrew to reveal a secret hiding place, but alas, it seems solid. Still cute though!

Donut Pen - Retail Value $1.80 (found on sale here for $1.26)

This donut pen writes super smoothly which makes me really like it. It's a chocolate-brown color that has a slightly rubbery grip on it. The cap comes off and has a donut dangling from it that has chocolate frosting and sprinkles on it. Not too shabby!

Dessert Coinpurse - Retail Value $3.90 (found on sale here for $2.73)

I'll be honest, I'm not feeling this item. I trust that it's from Japan, but it doesn't scream "kawaii" to me. This faux leather coin purse features a colorful cupcake with a blue poon charm dangling from a keychain you can use to affix this to your person. It's a decent size at about six inches high, but it's not my style. It's big enough to fit credit cards and an I.D., so if you want to travel light when you go out, you can do so.

Gudetama Charm - Retail Value $7.50 (found on sale here for $5.25)

One can never own too much Gudetama merchandise! This plastic charm comes complete with a chain to hang off of your backpack or keys. As always, our lazy egg is distraught atop his eggwhite, his hands thrown up in dismay. You can even see his little butt crack (a favorite feature of mine) from the back!

Sumikko Gurashi Plushie Charm in Sparrow - Retail Value $5.90

Out of the nine possibilities, I got the sparrow "minikko" (smaller side character). He's very very soft with a felt beak and feet, and embroidered eyes and cheeks. I like that he's been slightly weighted at the bottom so he sits upright! His tri-tone brown coloring makes his a great Fall buddy and he has a ball chain so you can attach him to something.

Pocky Strawberry Ichigo Biscuit Sticks - Retail Value $2.30 (found on sale here for $1.60)

The treat this month is the ever popular Pocky in strawberry! I always enjoy Pocky no matter what flavor, so these are received with open arms!

Cute Guys Korean Stamp Set - Retail Value $2.50 (found on sale here for $1.75)

Eh, this stamp set is kinda on the cheap side. The weird thing is that it has the rubber stamps separate from the plastic handles so that you have to put them together before using. I'm not sure if that's just because "DIY" stuff is popular in Japan or what. The stamps are cute enough, but the included ink pad is quite small so the long stamp doesn't fit in one go. The rolling self-inking stamp didn't actually roll, so I wasn't able to use it. 🙁

Verdict: Kawaii Box has been slipping a little for me lately, and it makes me sad! They included some licensed merchandise which I always look forward too, but then there is also some less-than-exciting items that seem really low quality. I will always be happy with stickers, a pen, and a candy though which they also provided me with this month. Blippo, their online shop is also in the midst of a sale, so the prices I quoted are almost all discounted at the time I wrote this, so that brought the value down slightly. In the end, I calculated $34.70 retail for this $24.90 box (less with the sale prices) and I received ten items.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. You will always receive the following month's box of the month you subscribe in. Order by the end of October to receive November's Box.

I love Gudetama so much that my friend bought me the Egg-sistential Thoughts book for my birthday…

Do you watch his shorts on the Sanrio Youtube account? Kills me every time…

I do love getting Kawaii Box. I cancelled my subscription, but that only lasted one month ^_^ And I loved the coinpurse! Thought it was very cute.

Oh and my fries fell off my keychain yesterday so you should watch out with that (glued the fries to a magnet and now they’re on my fridge).

Oh my goodness that donut pen and macaron key chain are the cutest! I’m pretty sure the “G” on the key chain is a sign that I must have it.
