Graydon All-Over Face + Body Lotion, 60ml - Value $16

This face and body lotion has a wonderful lavender scent that left me sniffing the air the whole time I was applying it to my face (after using the below foam cleanser) and my legs (after shaving). Even though this felt a little heavy going on, it has left my face ultra-soft and well moisturized.

It comes in a smaller pump which makes dispensing the right amount for your face easy. I used about two pumps to cover my face and neck. My legs needed about 2-3 pumps each, so this may go faster than expected.

Skintaut Natural Lip Balm + Lip Scrub - Total Listed Value $6

I know that I am sick of lip balms, but I have a soft spot for ones that come in teeny tubs. This set is both a balm and a lip scrub, which I can always use.

My lips can get chappy and this scrub is made with beeswax, coconut oil, vitamin E, which moisturize my lips while the sugar exfoliates them. I may have tasted a bit of this (which is a wild orange flavor) while scrubbing it on. I wasn't mad at it.

With almost the exact ingredients but replacing the sugar with cocoa butter, this balm locks in the hard work the scrub did and keeps my lips moist while I sleep at night. I reapplied it in the morning as well, knowing that I was going to shoot some lipstick swatches later in the day. 🙂

Antiqued Silver Tone Link Bracelet - Listed Value $25

I'm on the fence about this bracelet! It's a substantial thickness even though it is a soft, light metal. I have itty bitty wrists, so this runs a bit big on me and isn't adjustable. There is something about it that I can't put my finger on that makes me like it though!

Maybe it's the large lobster clasp that has a decorative heart design, or the antiqued silver look? I know nothing about Irish designs, but it is giving me Gaelic vibes. I may pass this on to my sister-in-law who is really into her Irish heritage. Since it isn't branded, I wasn't able to find this online, so I took the listed value to heart.

Simplicity Tea Cleanse/Charge Aid Tea - Value $6.99

I like that this tea is packaged in a large vial! I couldn't find this particular one on their site, as it looks like a mixture between a few they have to offer. This one is called "Cleanse Charge" and is caffeine free, which I like so I can enjoy it on a crisp evening and not be kept up.

The vial also came with two nice cloth drawstring tea bags to enjoy the tea in. There are simple directions on measurements and brew time on the side so that you prepare your tea to the best of your ability.

Cleanse Charge has hibiscus, peppermint, licorice root, and fennel in it, which helps "clear the gunk out" and is high in antioxidants formulated to cleanse and detox all of those snacks I've been eating. But how does it taste? It's a deep pink tea and has a bit of a fruity flavor, but I can still pick up on the fennel and peppermint as well. I like it! This vial looks to have about 6 cups of tea in it.

Graydon Face Foam, 150ml - Value $25

This face foam from Graydon Skincare is made with white willow bark, apple cider vinegar, and bamboo. It's completely unscented, which was sort of a bummer for me since I love a nice smelling cleanser, but I understand that scents can irritate sensitive skin, so I understand that move.

I love that a full-size bottle is included, and it comes (like any foam) with a pump. I used this cleanser last night before and this morning after my shower. It is super light and gentle, which I'm not used to. I normally like something more creamy or scrubby in a cleanser, so the foam left me feeling like it wasn't enough even though it left my face really clean.

Framed Inspirational Motivational Quote - Value $1.99? (Buy a similar frame at Ikea)

This item is definitely a filler for me. The quote isn't something I'd necessarily want to keep in view, especially with their website at the bottom. It makes it seem more like a promotional item more than something of value.

It does have a stand on the back, so you could pop the quote out and a photo of a loved one in instead and put it on your desk.

Verdict: My first month of Skintaut was okay. I think it's a bit on the pricey side (at $49.99) for what you get, but I do enjoy discovering new natural beauty products and really liked the face and body lotion. The total listed retail value of this box came to about $81, but there may be some inflation on the items I couldn't find online. The non-skincare items didn't excite me, so I'd be willing to pay less to only receive beauty items and cut out the filler.

This box does not seem worth the $50. If it costs that much they should have better graphic design.

It looks like they’re having a sale on their 3-month sub plan for $99. This is located when the “Subscribe Now” button is clicked. It doesn’t show as an option toward the bottom of the front page where the other sub plans are listed.

One thing I noticed is that their FAQ page is not up-to-date. There are “topics”, but no information. I remember Liz saying this was one of MSA’s requirements for a sub box to have before reviewing a box.

Also they have a Cancellation Policy link, but it’s more the legal service terms & agreement, rather than a laymans explanation of how & when to cancel. I didn’t see any cancellation terms when I glanced through it.

I’ll definitely keep my eye on this box if it continues to be reviewed by MSA, but right now it seems like they need to update their FAQs & Cancellation Policy for the peace of mind of potential subscribers.

Spot on with your final thoughts, Marne!

I’d seriously consider at a lower price point.

I like this box. I’m interested, but will not pull the trigger for $50 a month. This looks more like a $35 a month box. Boxycharm and glossy are $21 and you get well over $100 worth of products. There’s just too much competition….

I don’t like the quote, but I do appreciate that it came with a frame. Usually “prints” are included in boxes and have quite a value set at them and just come by themselves. So, I like that it at least has a legitimate value in the frame.

This box looks interesting, but for the cost, I’d like to see a few more months reviewed. The bracelet has a Brighton look to it which I kind of like. Love reading your reviews Marne!

The bracelet is based on Balinese designs, but the antiqued silver look is a feature in a lot of Celtic silver as well, so that’s prob why you thought of that. Hope that helps! 😊

Great review!

I love the cleanser and moisturizer are from the same brand but would have liked to see a mask or serum included also. I think that I’ll keep an eye on this one for a few more months (if you’re planning on reviewing more boxes) and see what other lovely items they include. I absolutely love lip balm/scrubs so I would have been thrilled to see them.

Great review Marne! That bracelet is just an odd inclusion, it is okay, but not very trendy.
