Each collection comes with an invoice with your price for each item and retail prices. If you keep all items, you get a $4 discount on your next box. If you decide to return an item, you are refunded the “Your Price” amount. You may return an item for any reason. I didn’t receive a note from my stylist this month, but if I had, it would be included here.

Here’s what my stylist picked for me this month:

Serene Timeless Eye Serum, Ching Beauty - Cost to keep: $13.26 (Retail Value $35)

This lightweight, super moisturizing eye serum says it will not only help retain a youthful plumpness to the delicate skin under the eyes, but also help with puffiness and dark circles. I don’t know how well it works for dark circles but I have lots of puffiness and I think this helps my eyes look refreshed and less puffy. I also love that it keeps the skin under my eyes super hydrated all day. The pump works well, although it gives you a lot of product per pump, and the bottle is pretty.

Priming Lip Wand in Tarte, Manna Kadar - Cost to keep: $9.10 (Retail Value $24)

Whoa, bright! This is definitely a great summer color. This is one of several colors in Manna Kadar’s Lip Locked line of lip crayons with built-in primers. My tube says step 3 on it and I’m not sure what the other 2 steps are so I just use it by itself. It took me a bit to get used to this neon pink color, but I love the formula so much that now I use it all the time. It glides on easily and with opaque color. It takes a few minutes to set and then it lasts for hours without fading off. Also, my lips don’t get dry or crack while wearing it. Thumbs up!

Luxlight Illuminator in Arclight, Eddie Funkhouser - Cost to keep: $4.54 (Retail Value $11.99)

If you ever feel like you need a little pick-me-up around your eyes, then this might be just the product for you. With a couple of twists of the click stick, the brush loads up with a matte, non-shimmery, light reflecting liquid that is perfect for under and around eyes. It is also great for highlighting the high points of your face. It isn’t the typical highlighter because it doesn’t reflect light in an attention drawing way but provides more of a brightening, awake effect. It doesn’t settle into my fine lines, dry out my skin, or get cakey throughout the day. I’ve run into a few more expensive products like this and this one works well and has a great price.

Blush + Glo in Coral, Beauty For Real - Cost to keep: $9.10 (Retail Value $24)

Double duty makeup is great for someone who does their makeup at work or in the car, like me! I like that I can get both my blush and highlight with the same tube. The formulas are great. They’re subtle enough for daily wear and work really well on their own if I don’t have time for foundation. Each end has a subtle vanilla scent and a hint of shimmer.

Here are swatches of the Priming Lip Wand, Blush + Glo Hi Beam and Coral Crush, and Arclight Illuminator.

Here I am wearing all of the products from this month’s collection. I patted the eye serum on before applying my foundation then added a little bit of the Arclight Illuminator under my eyes and under my brows. Then I applied the Blush + Glo Coral Crush to the apples of my cheeks and the Hi Beam to my cheekbones. To finish the look, I filled in my lips with the Priming Lip Wand.

Verdict: This month’s Wantable Makeup Collection is a hit! I will be keeping all of my items (so I’ll receive the discount next month) and I really like everything I received. The retail value of this collection is $94.99 with free shipping. That’s almost $40 lower in value than last month, but I don’t feel shorted because everything will be used and enjoyed. This collection was heavily beauty related with one skincare item. There were also two of the same type of product, highlighters, which is unusual for Wantable. My hope for next month is to continue to receive new, awesome products that have a high-value.

I’ve never heard of this box before, but I’m intrigued by the concept! Can you use something and decide not to keep it or is it a “you open it, you buy it” type deal? And if you return everything, do you get the full amount back?

Donna, here is what Wantable says about returns on makeup collections:

“Items can be returned for a full refund by initiating a return within 28 days after your order was placed. We ask that you decide what you’d like to keep prior to using makeup products. However, if you’re unhappy with your items for any reason, please reach out to us at [email protected].

Refunds will be issued 2-4 days after we receive your return. We cannot issue refunds for items received more than 60 days past the purchase date.”

If you return all items, you will receive the full amount back in the original form of payment.

There is a comprehensive returns FAQ page here:
http://blog.wantable.com/frequently-asked-questions/

Hope that helps!

I’ve tried Wantable Makeup on and off for about a year now (I’ve probably gotten 6 or 7 boxes). I am usually disappointed as the items have generally been underwhelming. One month I received all lip products (despite only indicating I “liked” lip products). Another month I received an eyeshadow with a thumbprint in it! And twice I have had items arrive damaged (one a melted cream eyeshadow stick and another time a leaky setting spray). Their customer service does a good job but I’ve just have so many disappointments. I think for the cost, the value to me is not there. I do keep giving them chances, though.

Why do you, though? I tried them out for only one month and canceled because I was underwhelmed, and the subscription is expensive. You can have four Ipsys for the amount.

For a price like that, the subscription really has to blow my mind.

These products look great on you Tiffany! I’m watching this one to see if it’s worth it to me, trying out a few of the lower price boxes now and will give them a few more months before I cancel & try others…

Elena

Do you get prepaid return label from them? Or you pay for return shipping yourself?

Tiffany Waldorf

Once you initiate a return through your online account, they will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label. Then you just put your returns back in the box and mail it back through USPS.

Hope that helps!

I’m sorry, but any sub that thinks that Manna Kadar is “premium” is high on crack cocaine. Every Manna Kadar item that I have received has arrived damaged. To add insult to injury, their products suck as well. I will be keeping away from this box and am sticking with LMDB.

My thoughts exactly!! If I paid $40 and got a Manna Kadar crayon in it I would be very unhappy. BTW I saw MK blush palette at Ross this weekend for $4. First time I have ever seen it for sale.

Luna

I’ve seen Manna Kadar at Marshalls too!
