This month's tasting box is filled with healthy snacks for back to school. I'm not heading back to school (thank goodness), but I can still get behind some tasty treats.

Pure Growth Organic White Cheddar Popcorn (Mickey Mouse), 0.5 oz - Value $0.62 (buy a box of 8 for $4.98)

Wow, this is good. Cheddar popcorn is super yummy and knowing it's organic and gluten free makes me feel like this. Consider this tiny bag gone.

Tree Top Apple Sauce, 3.2 oz. - Value $0.50 (buy a pack of 4 for $1.98)

I never thought I'd be drinking apple sauce out of a squeezy pouch, but there's nothing I wouldn't do for y'all. Tree Top definitely gets cool points for putting an apple riding a skateboard (made out of an apple slice) on the front of the pouch. How does it push though? 🤔 The cap of this is actually resealable if you can't suck down the whole thing at once. It's actually really good and tastes like legit fresh made apple sauce. The only ingredients are apples, water, and Vitamin C. They've included a coupon if you want to save on more!

Westminster Bakers Co. Whole Wheat Hearty Crackers, 7.5 g. - Value $0.06 (Did you want 300? That will cost you $17.65)

I think I made a grumble noise when I saw these. I love saltines, but wheat crackers make me 😴. Sadly, these had a defective package which the seal was broken on, so mine were a bit stale. They taste "healthy", but I bet are super good in soup.

Belgian Boys Mini Dutch Stroopwafel, 8 g. - Value $0.20 (buy a box of 60 for $11.89)

Strangely, it was a mere couple of hours ago when someone mentioned stroopwafels and I said "What that?". Now, one sits before me, as if I conjured it up with my own mind. I don't know what the hubbub is about. These are alright, but not blowing my mind. It's a mini waffle filled with caramel, and is sweet and soft, yet a little bit crunchy.

Dang Coconut Chips, 0.7 oz - Value $1.38

Daaaaaaang, these coconut chips are delicious! I was expecting dehydrated coconut strips, but these are toasted lil chippies. Coconut macaroons are one of my favorite treats, and these taste exactly like them (minus the soft, chewy texture). Gaaaahhhhh, now I want to purchase these, dang it! Can't. Stop. Eating.

Aloha Daily Good Greens Whole-Food Powder in Chocolate Blend, 0.4 oz. - Value $2.38

I mixed this with some water to get a taste of what we were dealing with. Blech, no thank you. I am more of an actual food person than a protein shake person, so I haven't developed a taste for things like this. It's vaguely chocolatey but does not actually taste good alone. I guess if you threw this in a smoothie, it'd probably go down much easier. It has all sorts of vital nutrients and vitamins that you need, so this is probably easier than making sure you get all your greens in the form of actual veggies.

Aloha Protein Dietary Supplement in True Chocolate, 1.3 oz. - Value $3.33

I think this one is worse? Again, I only tried this in water and could not choke more than a sip of it down. Don't try to play me and say that this is chocolate flavored, ok? This is a legit protein powder that is plant-based, organic, and non-GMO. It apparently has 18 g of protein per serving, but that means you'd have to drink the whole thing. Clearly, I am not the demographic intended for this product. The packaging is cute though!

Barney Butter Almond Butter, 0.6 oz. - Value $0.50 (buy a 24 pack for $11.99)

Oh heck yeah, now we are talking. Almonds are by far my favorite drupe (just googled it before I called it a nut, thank goodness, and now I know what a drupe is). I am lucky enough to be able to eat peanuts, but enjoy almond butter as well. This brand is very creamy and is made in a peanut-free facility for all you folks who can't go near those devils. This butter is also gluten free, kosher, and non-GMO.

Love With Food Lip Balm, 0.15 oz. - Value $1.50?

Oh man, I have so much lip balm! Subscription boxes love to include it! This one has 15 SPF in it, as well as Vitamin E and aloe, so your precious puckers stay nice n moisturized.

Glee Gum in Bubblegum, 2 pieces - Value $0.14 (buy a pouch of 75 pieces for $4.95)

I think I've seen this gum at natural foods stores. This bubblegum flavor is super sweet and made with xylitol instead of sugar. That sounds like a scary chemical to me, but it comes from the fibers of fruits and vegetables like berries, oats, and mushrooms. Crazy! The flavor puts out pretty quickly on these pieces and it keeps getting stuck in my back teeth, so I'll probably stick to my green tea mints.

Verdict: This was my first Love with Food tasting box and I had a great time. The dietary supplement powders were a big swing and a miss for me, but I discovered my new love: Dang Coconut Chips! For $9.99 (including shipping), I got roughly $10.61 worth of products but didn't love them all. I can see this fairing better in a family household with a few different tastes that can share this instead of just me who might get disappointed by some of the "big ticket items".

This was a very weak box. Saltine crackers, come on! I could do without those powders, too. I think my Stroopwaffle was a bit stale. That said, their point system is pretty good & I’ve received a few free boxes.

They must REALLY not like me because I did not get the Greens powder, the chocolate protein powder OR the lip balm! No wonder this box seemed like such a disappointment! I still have another month on is sub, and reupped for the 3 month special because every other month has been fantastic before this one.

My crackers weren’t sealed, either. I had crumbs all over my box. I had hoped to use the almond butter on them, so I was actually kinda bummed.

This box was such a joke for me. I mean “freebie” saltine crackers…really?? Two tiny pieces of gum… Some protein powder? No thanks. I purchased this sub on a deal (like the one featured) and was actually kind of ticked I spent $5 on these samples. I was really hoping for a better tasting box (a la Amazon prime sweets), but was sorely disappointed. If I hadn’t prepaid I’d be cancelling.

Yes and no. Glee Gum went right in the big trash can outside. Even a tiny amount of Xylitol is deadly to dogs.
Stroopwafel is being handed out on most flights now as “airline food”. It’s really tasty but unbelievably, teeth-numbingly sweet.
Got Dang in a box a long time ago and was hooked. Found them in the produce section of my grocery store. Very Addictive!
Enjoying LWF box, not sure if it’s worth $10 but Rue La La has an offer currently too.

Thanks for letting me know how dangerous this gum is to dogs. I had no idea. I freaked when I read it as I ate the gum last night and put it in a tissue and was afraid he had allready eaten it. Lucky after looking threw many tissues I found the one with the gum and put it in the outside trash to be safe.

Wheat crackers, wafer waffle, two little specs of gum, protein powders?? This isn’t a nutritional box of snacks. Very disappointed, I cancelled membership. When I enrolled, I was so excited to try substantial snacks and ordered from their shop. I know that no one reviews our feedback, as I’ve scored a baggies of Ginger Candy as low for three months.

I’m glad I got ginger candies and ginger tea instead of the weird chocolate powders lol

Stroopwafels get better when you manage to put them on top of your cup of tea. The steam helps melting down the caramel. Of course I couldn’t find a tiny little cup to go with this sample, but it should work fine with full sized stroopwafels.

I liked this box, unlike some other people who made comments about it on the deluxe box review.
I must say if i had received the Aloha products I would not have been happy, I think the only thing different was instead of those I got the gluten free pretzels. It would be nice to think that was because of my reviews.
I can use everything in the box and that’s a rarity. I liked the popcorn but it did have a fair amount of crummblies unlike some of the other brands.

Marne you’re hilarious. I feel the same way about protein shakes. My hubby drinks them regularly :p

So I didn’t get the protein powder in my box…but I’m not complaining because I got it before and I’m not a fan of protein powders. But I cannot figure out if I got anything in place of it or not. The past few months it seems like they’ve had some variation in the boxes (beyond just flavors) which is odd because I don’t think they ever did before in my year’s worth of subbing. I cancelled to take a break for awhile (too many repeats, protein powders, coupons, tiny samples and not much excitement lately) and this box was out with a fizzle instead of a bang for me…doesn’t help that I hate coconut so I had to give away one of the biggest values in the box…again….since I’ve gotten those before too….
