Stars Hollow Monthly June 2017 - 0006 (1)

This month's menu from Luke's Diner lists out all of our items and informs us of the new Stars Hollow Monthly YouTube channel!

Exclusive Bid-a-Basket Lunch Bag - Listed Value $19.99

The first item I pulled out was this insulated lunch bag. I was surprised at how deep this bag goes! This is definitely large enough for a big lunch. It's also a great bag for keeping a bunch of drinks and snacks cold at the pool. I love the reference to the Bid-A-Basket Fundraiser.

The bag also features a front pocket and carrying strap.

Exclusive Sandwich Keeper - Listed Value $4.99

Our second Bid-A-Basket item is a sandwich keeper. I like the continuation of the Bid-A-Basket theme, and this is the perfect companion to the lunch bag. I'm guilty of using disposable sandwich bags too often, so I'm happy to have a more environmentally friendly option!

Exclusive Stars Hollow Engraved Sunglasses - Listed Value $14.99

I've already imagined using my first two items on a pool day, and these sunglasses fit in with that theme perfectly! These wayfarer-style glasses have brown frames with woodgrain arms. These do feel lightweight ,so part of me doesn't agree with the $15 value, but they are a cute design and have the Stars Hollow logo on the side.

Exclusive Stars Hollow Sunglasses Case - Listed Value $14.99

A great companion to the sunglasses is this sunglasses case! I'm someone who constantly has glasses on, whether they're prescription or sunglasses, so I love sturdy cases.

This hard case has some Gilmore doodles we're familiar with: lots of coffee, umbrellas, and snowflakes.

The bright yellow and red combination gives me summer cookout vibes.

Bonus Item - OOO-Ber Magnet

I’m getting close to magnet overload, but this OOO-Ber magnet is cute. I really liked the OOO-Ber car freshener from a previous box. Any reminder of Kirk is welcome!

Verdict: This feels like a really appropriate summer box. Last month gave us a lot of summery dining homewares and this month felt like a continuation of that. I like that everything felt like a cohesive set, and each item is totally something I can use this summer. I'm always a fan of homewares and practical items so this was a good fit for me.

Their customer service smells. Boxes routinely go out several days after the listed date, and they can’t be bothered to let you know. All they have to do is e-mail saying “Sorry, there’s a delay.” Apparently good manners and communication are too difficult to bother with. If that’s the case, you should not be running a subscription company. Some items are very cheap in quality. The sunglasses case mentioned in this post was a real pos. It’s worth maybe $3, not $15.

I was hoping with all the changes and going to quarterly boxes the shipping/customer service would improve but here we are l, the 13th, boxes were due to ship on the 10th, posts were made that all boxes would go out by the 10th but now posts are being made that they are still in the process of getting out but they continue to roll out mystery boxes and LDB duffel bag packs when they haven’t even fulfilled my current order…. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but I’m done doing business with this company

I’m so sad I had to cancel my Stars Hallow subscription. This was my last month. I just couldn’t justify the price for items that feel like they came out of the oriental trading company catalog. I personally wish they would just send one really nice product than several lower quality ones. Does anyone else feel this way? I hate being negative Nancy but after I received the Luke and Lorelei special edition wedding box I was in shock about the quality of items received. And the worst of all…the box didn’t feel like it had to do with a wedding.

I totally agree.. I felt duped with the wedding box. This june box was a let down as well. I’m sad. I had such high hopes.
