Stranger Things is the theme for June. The postcard sized info card has an illustration of the cast on one side, and a list of the items on the other.

Friends Don't Lie Bracelet - Value $12.90

The first item is a well-made bracelet featuring Eleven's famous "Friends Don't Lie" quote from the series. The weight of this is really nice and I like that it's adjustable for the tiny-wristed people out there (hi!).

The metal plate looks to be silver-plated metal and has the words stamped into it.

The adjustable nylon cord is cinched with a large bead stamped with "011", and two smaller silver beads.

The Upside Down Necklace - Value $9.39

If you watch the show, you know that you'd never want to find yourself in The Upside Down. It's spooky as heck there, and I hate to think of Will being trapped in there all alone.

This necklace is made of red plastic acrylic, in the style of the show's title typeface. You can make your own phrase "stranger" by using the generator here

At its shortest, the necklace hangs a full 12", with the ability to be longer. The chain is sort of a basic silver-colored metal.

Waffle Earrings - Value $10.99?

No Stranger Things box would be complete without a nod to the waffles that Eleven loves to eat. These handmade earrings fulfill that obligation in the cutest way.

They measure about a half-inch in diameter and made of polymer clay. The posts are hypoallergenic stainless steel.

Here they are on my lobe so you can get a better idea of the size.

"I'm Chill" Sunglasses - Value $7.00?

Lastly, we have some hot pink plastic wayfarer style sunglasses featuring fan-favorite Barb's popular "I'm Chill" line. Even though Barb left us too soon, you can let her memory live on in these cool shades. I couldn't find these online, so I'm assuming they had them made especially for the box. I checked out Etsy to get an idea of pricing for custom shades like these.

The quote appears on each arm, with a lil Barb head.

Here I am, chill as heck.

Verdict: If you are one of the millions of fans of Netflix's cult favorite show, Stranger Things, this month's Geek Chic Monthly is totally for you! I loved that most everything was from small Etsy designers that share the fandom many of us do for this nostalgia-inducing show. The value I estimated for this box was around $40 which is amazing, considering it only costs $16.99 ($13 + $3.99 shipping to PA).

What did you think of June's Geek Chic Monthly? Are you afraid of the Demogorgan too?

Hopefully it’s OK to link to this Etsy, but this wonderful artist paints pop culture images on old LPs (12″ records). I bought one from her at Monsterpalooza to let my daughter know that in a world full of 10s, she’s an Eleven.

I am afraid of the Demogorgan. And I sure hope my Mom would be as persistent as Will’s Mom was.
And poor Barb… she could come back…

Such a good show. Good box too. Waffle earrings are my fave. Great review!
