The Bocandy Starter Box includes 5-7 product from U.S. and abroad. I've been checking out more international snack and candy boxes lately, but this is my first time reviewing Bocandy!

Prestige Troy Wafer, 35g - Value $2.00

Starting out strong! This Bulgarian chocolate wafer candy bar was incredibly light and airy. The wafer layers created a really pleasantly pillowy texture with a hint of crunch. Loved it.

Kras Bananko, 2 at 30g each - Value $1.11 (Buy a case of 36 for $19.99 on Amazon)

I'm not someone who is keen on banana flavored candy -- especially when it has that very artificial flavoring like this does. Ironically, my husband is obsessed with it. He'd love this. There was something about the chalky texture and overtly sweet banana filling that really didn't jive with me, though.

Gama Food Sesame Candy, 20g - Value $0.20

This sticky candy tasted exactly how you'd expect it would if you're familiar with sesame. It reminded me a bit of Middle Eastern halva but really, really hard to chew.

De La Rosa Pulparindo, 2 at 14g each - Value $0.40

Though these tamarind candies differ in taste, I couldn't find different flavor names on their packaging. The only outward indication of their variation was wrapper color from what I could tell. In addition to the pulp of tamarind fruit, these are also made with chili peppers and salt. They're really not joking around with the spice too! Both of these have a strong, spicy aftertaste, but the red variety takes the cake in the seasoned department. I've never experienced anything like these, and they were a bit intense for me.

Kabaya Thomas & Friends Chocolate Coated Cookie Sticks, 27g - Value $1.99

Just like Pocky, but these are made by a different Japanese brand. Super tasty and fun to eat!

Duvalin Bi Savor - Value $0.71 (buy a box of 18 for $12.69)

I didn't really understand this candy. I was expecting it to be like pudding, but it tasted like straight up icing instead. Like, thick, incredibly sweet cookie icing. Are you supposed to dip something in it? Sort of strange.

Alteno Super Pina Loca, 2 at 10g each - Value $0.50 (buy a bag of 40 for $9.99)

These lollies are lightly spicy but balanced with the sweet of the pineapple. Really delicious!

Verdict: This Bocandy box was certainly interesting. I adore trying candy from different parts of the world, but a lot of items in this box were just too sweet or processed for my taste. It was hard to track down costs for several of the items too. I calculated the value to be around $6.91 which falls sort of the $9.99 price tag. Considering that I only thoroughly enjoyed about half of the candy selection, I'm not sure that this box is for me. Someone that really loves sweet candy and unusual flavors might enjoy it though!

I just checked out their reviews before ordering and it seems as if their in financial trouble and maybe having some LLB shipping issues. People not receiving their boxes in many reviews and having to do chargebacks because CS is not great. I just wanted to give anyone else a heads up that might of been looking for a lower priced treats box. I’m just push my amazon button and save the hassles.

The tamarind candy is regular and extra picante!

I should clarify, the spicy version has the hot pepper spewing flames – top left. That scares me, lol!

Duvalin! The stuff of California middle school dreams. The corner store always sold it and if not, every kid knew someone who could get it for them from the nearest Hispanic supermarket. But I guess it could count as non-American candy for people who grew up in less diverse areas.
