The bag came with this information card. This month it did have some directions for the items, which was useful since a lot of the items had very little English on them.

Laneige Perfect Renew Skin Refiner (25 mL) – Value$5.39 (or $25.91 for 120 mL)

This has ceramides (a type of lipid molecule) and sodium hyaluronate, both of which are super moisturizing. This is a clear, lightweight gel, almost a liquid viscosity but not quite, and you only need a very little bit to cover your whole face. (I used too much on my first try, though it still absorbed fairly quickly.)

Laneige Essential Balancing Emulsion (25 mL) – Value $4.40 (or $21.14 for 120 mL)

This is meant to be used after the refiner, according to the information card. It is a lightweight moisturizer. This is not the best container for this product as it is a bit difficult to dispense, but the full size (see link above) seems to come with a pump. This includes a fermented seaweed extract (seaweed has a lot of minerals and some antioxidants) and royal jelly, which is also rich in minerals, amino acids, and may have anti-inflammatory effects. This was a good second step after the refiner and was nice and lightweight for hot weather. A little bit of this goes a long way, as well.

P.S. Sorry for the cat hair in the picture. Angus kept walking across my photo area. I just didn’t notice this right away. (There are ALWAYS cats circling…)

Dr. Jart+ Doctor’s Label Deep Moist Mask Sheet – Value $2.12 (buy a 5 pack for $10.61)

For a moisturizing mask, this has a lot more plant extracts than I was expecting. Those I recognize right away include grapefruit (lots of antioxidants and vitamin C), purslane (calming to the skin), and a licorice extract (may help with uneven pigmentation, brightening, or whitening). This also has some natural oils like jojoba and mango seed butter, and of course sodium hyaluronate, which is a carbohydrate polymer that holds on to a lot of water at the outer layer of the skin. This is a thicker mask sheet and it really keeps the serum close to your face, so it does take a little while to absorb once you remove the mask, but it leaves basically no residue on the skin and I am feeling great right after using it.

Missha Pposong Hair Dry Tissue – Value $1.46

There is often one product in TutiiBag that puzzles me a little bit and this month, it is this product. This is allegedly dry shampoo but I’m not sure I 100% understand the directions. I rubbed this on hair that I hadn’t washed since the night before I wrote this review (so, about 20 hours since my last shampoo) and I think it helped get rid of a little bit of frizz. It had a clean fragrance that lingered for a bit. I have enough of these to do some additional experimenting (although honestly, frizz control is welcome).

A’Pieu Mineral Mono Shadow – Value $2.73

This is a special edition with a character on the package, so it may be worth a bit more than the price listed above. You will usually get one makeup item in TutiiBag and I believe this is the first time since I’ve been subscribing that it has been an eyeshadow. This is a neutral color with some shimmer that I will be using a lot.

Here is a swatch of the eyeshadow. This is a good, everyday color for me.

Verdict:  I calculated a value of $16.10 for the June 2017 TutiiBag. Please keep in mind that prices for Asian beauty are all over the place, and I couldn’t find these all from one source (and some of the sources have shipping charges of at least a couple of dollars to consider as well), so the actual US retail value may be higher. At any rate, that is a little bit above the cost of the subscription. I enjoyed experimenting with the products and liked that there were a couple of products from the same brand designed to be used together to try out.

What did you think of the June 2017 TutiiBag? Do you get any K-Beauty or Asian Beauty subscriptions?

Yeah, but the image got obliterated when I went to do the swatch. (I guess it is still on the outside of the package.)
