Baby Gap Outfits Box June 2017

Baby Gap just released a quarterly subscription box! They send you over $100 of mix-and-match pieces chosen based off your size and style preferences. Right now, they offer sizes 0-24 months, but will be adding 2T-3T soon. You pay for the whole box when you order, but they make it really easy to send back anything you don’t love.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This is a review of the “fun” style clothing for a 24-month-old boy, $70 box.

My box contained an info card showing me the items in my box and different ways to style them.

Also included were a pre-paid return label and a packing sheet showing my items, their retail prices, and “My Price” for each item – the money I’d be refunded for returning each item.

Colorful Wayfarer Sunglasses – Retail Value: $9.99, My Price: $0

The first thing I pulled out of my box was the bonus gift, these fabulous shades! I love bright and colorful clothes and accessories for Gideon, especially in the Summer. These fit him perfectly, and I think they’re way cute on him.

Baby Gap Outfits Box June 2017

The quality is nice, too. Sure, they’re still plastic kid’s sunglasses but they feel more sturdy than some pairs I’ve bought and I love the blue reflective coating on the lenses.

Reversible Stripe Tank Bodysuit – Retail Value: $19.95 (currently on sale for $12.99), My Price: $13.34

This tank bodysuit has great colors, and it’s reversible! I love that. The fabric is also thicker because of the reversibility feature, so it’s a sturdy tank bodysuit. Since my price to keep the bodysuit is higher than the current sale price, I contact customer service to see if they'd honor the sale price. Unfortunately, at this time, they can only offer the prices on my invoice, and no sale pricing.

Here’s the other side.

Baby Gap Outfits Box June 2017

I love this outfit on my son – in fact, he wore it all day today through playdates and a graduation party on a 90-degree day and it worked great for us.

Baby Gap Outfits Box June 2017

I also just love the colors. Plus, everything fits perfectly!

Print Tank Shorty One-Piece – Retail Value: $29.95 (currently on sale for $21), My Price: $20.01

Um, this is the kind of outfit I adore for my kid but I’m not sure I would have bought it off a rack because I’ve never bought Gideon a shorty one-piece outfit before. That being said, I think this is my favorite item from the box!

Baby Gap Outfits Box June 2017

It fits Gideon well with some room to grow, and I can tell it’s just super comfortable and easy-breezy on warm summer days.

Baby Gap Outfits Box June 2017

This print is also too cute!

Camo Poplin Joggers – Retail Value: $24.95 (Currently on sale for $13), My Price: $16.67

These camo joggers are great! I love the style for Gideon. They came rolled up but you can undo that and get a longer look, too. I also love how the waistband is soft.

Baby Gap Outfits Box June 2017

(He clearly didn’t want to cooperate for this shot, but you can see the pants so it works!)

They fit Gideon really well, but the waistline-to-crotch seam is a little short on my tall kid so they fell down or sagged quite a bit. These are cute for visiting people or maybe running out and about, but for playtime, they just aren’t right. They have zero stretch so the weird fit really rides the pants down.

Beach Graphic Body Suit – Retail Value: $14.95, My Price: $9.99

I couldn’t find this one on their website, FYI. Which is a shame because this “beach vibes” print is adorable. This is a great bodysuit that, again, fits Gideon perfectly!

Solid Shorts – Retail Value: $14.95, My price: $9.99

Thank goodness they sent me shorts. I just realized that I don’t think I have any shorts for Gideon for this summer, and the color of these is great. I love that they match this short sleeve bodysuit and the striped tank bodysuit. They have pockets and a (non-functioning) drawstring to tie in front.

Baby Gap Outfits Box June 2017

I love these pieces together.

Verdict: I’ve actually never shopped at BabyGap before since there’s not one near me. I’m thrilled with the first OutfitBox they sent me. The “fun” style category was a perfect choice for us and everything is definitely high quality, true to size, and adorable. I love feeling excited to get him dressed in these outfits and I can tell they’ll definitely be summer favorites. I love how easy they made returns – I wasn’t expecting a paid return envelope, so that was great to see. I also love the free bonus gift of the sunglasses. At $70/box, it comes out to $14/piece plus the bonus gift. That’s really not bad for good quality, new baby clothes! I think this box is my absolute new favorite sub – I wish they were monthly just because I loved everything so much, but I think a quarterly/seasonal box is a smart choice for them.

What do you think about the new Baby Gap OutfitBox?

Baby Gap and Kids Gap are great!! I dressed all my boys(ages 27, 15, and 12) in Gap clothes and still do. The clothes look good and wear well. I agree that you can get amazing deals by shopping their sales online. I think shipping is free if you spend $50 and return shipping is free. There are also lots of perks with their Gap credit card.

Cute clothes! I do like Baby Gap; but I mostly buy it from thrift stores or consignment stores. I refuse to pay full price for anything. Heck I love the Cat & Jack line at Target! So cute and very affordable!

As someone who works at GAP i can say from experience they definitely have sales in store all the time. We regularly do 40% off all regular price items, and we always have great prices on baby kids clothes

Cutest kid ever but the price of this box just isnt there when most of the stuff they send can be found on sale cheaper than your box price per item. I dont have any little ones on the way anytime soon but the idea of this box sounds like there would be a great market for it, just seems like the value needs to increase so the incentive is there rather than just shopping online sales from the same site.

You can’t beat the quality of baby gap. My son got a 2T outfit when he was little. He wore the shorts until he was about 8 years old (no lie). Granted they kept getting shorter and shorter and my son is skinny as a rail but they never wore our or even showed wear.

I think everyone is missing the point of how adorable your son is and how cute was the fact that he was not cooperating 😀 Just kidding about everyone missing the point; not kidding about the cuteness. My little one HATES modeling (but she is one 10 months old).

shorties were my favorite thing to put my son in when he was younger – they are just too adorable! at 6, sadly, he has outgrown the desire to wear a pair of shorties. 😞

I really don’t understand the point of this box. Take $70, wait for Gap online’s 40% off sale which is usually running 5 out of 7 days a week, and buy what you want for way less. With free return shipping!

(Baby Gap is online as well as Old Navy’s baby and toddler department, no need to have one near you)

I agree completely! It’s a nice idea with a great selection of items but the value isn’t there. If you pay attention to Gap sales you should be able to get all of these items (well, maybe not the pants) for $10 or less. I’m guessing that this box needs to be closer to a $50 price point or include additional items if it’s going to succeed.

I really agree $70 is really high for the few items you get, with this I can often get my daughters 6 outfits each for around $60 total by shopping the sales now a box full of random clearance items in their size for like $20 would be fun

avvt

Curated outfits are really nice though! Especially if you’re not a frequent shopper (or a full time working mom)… I get frustrated with the sales sometimes because one part of an outfit in my daughter’s size will no longer be available.
