Every box includes a folded info card.

The inside of the card provides details about each item and the retail values. I appreciate that they also use a mark to indicate every item that is also vegan.

Seoul Mamas Revitalizing Mask – Value $8

This sheet mask is made with 100% bamboo fibers! And the serum it delivers to your skin contains great ingredients like caviar extract, hyaluronic acid, apple and cherry fruit extracts, and chamomile flower extract. It felt hydrating and refreshing on my skin. You leave it on for 10 minutes and then massage the remaining serum into your face. I don’t use a lot of sheet masks but I like this one for sure!

Gypsy Soul Organics Son Rain Aromatherapy Spray Value $19.99

This aromatherapy spray is meant to help bring peaceful calming and leave you feeling restored and refreshed. The fragrance consists of “layers of cedar leaf & violet, blended with deep notes of patchouli, eucalyptus, citronella, lemon & galbanum essential oils.” It smells great! You can use it to spray into the laundry, rooms, your car, or even as a body spray. It’s not a sweet scent, and I’ve enjoyed using it around the house lately.

Armour Beauty Lip Gloss in Nina – Value $24

Note: Armour Beauty’s website has been closed and is no longer selling products online. Which is a shame, because I like this gloss a lot. It has a lot of pigment and hydration. The color didn’t bleed and the formula has nourishing ingredients. Armour Beauty also named all their glosses after songs, bands, and rock stars, which I think is a cool concept. (Swatched + modeled below.)

Franklin & Whitman Spring Garden Mineral Soak – Value $24.95

This soak is made primarily with salts, which are known to have therapeutic and detoxing properties. This one smells nice – refreshing and light and balanced with the rosemary scent.

Benevolent Beauty Natural Makeup and Skincare Subscription Box - May 2017

I love adding things like this to baths, especially since getting pregnant again. I also like getting jars of soaks like this because if you don’t like the scent they’re perfect for gifting!

Viter Energy Wintergreen Caffeinated Breath Mints – Value $0.75 (buy a tin for $4.99)

This is a bonus item, FYI. These are a 3-pack of caffeinated mints! The Wintergreen taste reminded me of Certs.

Ardency Inn Modster Easy Ride Supercharged Liquid Liner – Value $20

This liner is a great formula! The liquid doesn’t bleed or run, and the opacity is fantastic. It dries to a very matte, bold black. One thing I have to mention is that I didn’t feel like I could get the finest line/point on cat-eyes with this tip. I prefer brush applicators for my liquid liners, so it may just be that I need a little practice, but I felt it was worth mentioning.

ColorPOP + Hello Kitty Super Shock Eyeshadow, shade “Small Gift” – Listed Value $6

ColorPOP describes their formula as a “crème powder formula with bouncy-like texture… insanely pigmented with one-swipe intensity.” I’d say all of that is pretty accurate! I also feel like you can still use a light hand and build the intensity as well.

Benevolent Beauty Natural Makeup and Skincare Subscription Box - May 2017

I was impressed with the creaminess and pigmentation of this formulation – amazing quality for the price!

Here are swatches of the eyeshadow, liquid liner, and lip gloss.

Benevolent Beauty Natural Makeup and Skincare Subscription Box - May 2017

And here they are modeled! The lip gloss looks way more orange in the bottle and swatch than it does on my lips. When worn it comes off as a great coral shade. Also, I’m wearing the eyeshadow as a blush as well as a shadow here, because I felt the color worked perfectly with the gloss and was a good shade for a blush on my complexion.

Benevolent Beauty Natural Makeup and Skincare Subscription Box - May 2017

I actually really love the shadow as a blush, but it’s gorgeous and glowy on the eyes as well (note: I am wearing a mid-toned brown in my crease here, too). As I said earlier, the eyeliner didn’t have as much control as I’m used to with brush tips, but the formula is fantastically bold so I think some playing and getting used to the applicator will work just fine for me.

Verdict: This was a great Benevolent Beauty Box! I always have fun opening their boxes and discovering my products each month. I also like the variety of products they send in each box, and how this month’s products worked to create a whole look together. The value this month adds up to $103.69 which is a fantastic value.

Just wanted to mention that I contacted BB, and they said the cutoff date is now the 22nd of the month. Also would like to mention that the customer service is excellent.

I just thought I’d mention that the next skincare box from Benevolent Beauty is now available. It’s featuring the brand Elements of Aliel, contains six items ($122 value), will have three options for different skin types, and is $34.95 (much cheaper than their last skincare box!). They’re taking orders until June 16th, and the box ships in early July.

I must have a very sensitive palate, but I just tried one of those breath mints this afternoon, and it was so incredibly strong! I had to keep moving it around my mouth because my tongue felt like it was going to burn(!) if I just let it sit there. Of course, the logical thing to do would have been to spit it out, but the obvious escapes me sometimes. ha! However, the strong, minty after-effects did last quite awhile, which was nice.

This was my first box. I loved everything except the Son Rain spray, the smell of patchouli makes me ill. I don’t really get into organic or aromatherapy. I loved the red lip! I love reds and oranges and as a redhead it was perfect!

I’m loving this box right now! The quality and variety of the items are great!

I recently switched to 100% cruelty free and I’m trying to figure out the best box/boxes. I wasn’t interested in this at all until I read your review, but now I have to have this box! lol And CONGRATULATIONS too!!! <3

Petit Vour is 100% cruelty free. 🙂

I was going to mention them as well. I think you get a good value for the price. Vegan Cuts has 2 different beauty boxes as well, but I like Petit Vour products better.

Ashley

Amy, I’m on the way to fully be 100% cruelty free. I started off with Birchbox, Play and Boxycharm, but it’s so many repetitive items. They will all be cancelled before June. I’m not sure how people love eye shadow palettes within the same shades. It would take me a year to get through one. I would much prefer to spend my dollars on Benevolent Beauty, Love Goodly (who donates money to great causes), and So Susan for makeup.

Glowing Beets is an all cruelty-free box too!

Ashley

Sorry, didn’t mean to double post. There is quite a delay.

Ashley

Hi!! I’m in the transition to 100% cruelty free. I’m subbing to the popular boxes, Boxycharm and Sephora, but at the same time, been subbing to Love Goodly, So Susan, and Benevolent Beauty. I’m switching completely to the last three. Customer service is spot on. And I find full size products work best for me in finding something that works for me. Fair, fat, and almost 40. 😉

Benevolent Beauty always delivers on full size, deluxe products that have an extremely high retail value. The main reason I love Benevolent is because Rachel includes quality, high end products. The unique salts are nothing I would find in area stores, or purchase for that price…but I sure delighted soaking with that aroma around me!!

Enjoy your day,

So pretty! Going to get this sub soon, it always looks awesome!

I loved my box this month, too! I haven’t tried the eyeshadow yet because I thought it was too red for me, but I’m definitely going to try it as a blush now. I love that about these reviews–great for getting better ideas on how to make the most of the box.

Is that tiny jar of mineral soak really $24.95? I thought that would be the price for a full sized purchase.

I love those shades on you!

Another nice box for Benevolent Beauty. With so many beauty boxes it can be hard to choose which ones to sub to but it seems like Benevolent Beauty consistently has products I like and great value. I am going to have to seriously consider subbing to these guys…
