Synergy Organic Clothing is a company dedicated to creating opportunities and empowerment for individuals in their supply chain. Their clothing items are made primarily from organic cotton (sometimes there is a small percentage of other fiber, like spandex, and they have a recycled poly line now as well). They are currently offering either a mystery item for $20 or a mystery bundle of 3 items for $50.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This is a review of the 3- item, $50 mystery bundle. This bundle and the 1-item $20 mystery item are still available for sale!

Cara Top – Listed Value $32

This top wasn’t listed in their catalog but this item had a tag with a name and a written-in price, and the value is in line with similar tops from their shop, so I’m going to go with it. It is very comfortable but I think it is either too big or just generally unflattering for my figure type, I can’t decide.

You could only choose one size for the mystery bundle so I went with S because I figured any bottoms in S would fit me better, and that was true. But I really think I need XS on top since I have a small bust and narrow shoulders.

I am probably going to try wearing this with jeans and a cardigan so the excess of material on the sides and under the arms isn’t as obvious. Because it really is quite comfortable.

Sahara Full Skirt in Atmosphere/Ivory – Value $25 (on sale, but no longer available; MSRP $55)

This is a lightweight skirt (but not see through) and it actually does fit very well. I am 5’5” and I think it would be super short on anyone much taller than I am. The neutral colors will go with a lot of different items in my wardrobe, too (I like to do neutral bottoms and bold tops). Just be careful in the wind, as I found out when climbing the stairs to my deck. Thankfully the neighbors were not around.

Striped Dress in Fig – Value $61.60?

This exact dress is not available in the Synergy catalog so I have linked to a similar one (with a slightly different skirt type).

I like the colors but I don’t think the style is doing me any favors, mostly because of the loose style of the top again. The wide shoulders and the extra fabric make me look a lot bigger on top than I really am. (Also, for the record, you can’t wear a regular bra with this because the neck opening is very wide.)

I might try to save this one by wearing a pashmina or wrap or shawl, although it is kind of the wrong time of year for that.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $118.60 for the items in my Synergy Organic Clothing mystery bundle. That is definitely well above the cost of the bundle, even accounting for shipping, so I got my money’s worth. Unfortunately, although everything was super comfortable and also well-made, it turns out that several of the items weren’t so great for my body type. (There are fitted garments in the Synergy Organic Clothing shop, like this dress, which I love, but it was just luck of the draw that I didn’t receive any of them, I guess.)

What do you think of the Synergy Organic Clothing mystery bundle? Did you receive the same items or different ones?

You look great in these loose tops, but what you think is more important than what I think. Because you have such narrow shoulders, the loose fit gives you a nice proportion. Try wearing a dress or top cut like this and see if people give you compliments…although, again, what you think is most important.

Add a statement belt to the dress, you have a great waistline and it will change the entire look. 🙂

I need to go belt shopping, it sounds like.

(I had belts. But then I lost 45 pounds and they are too big now.)

Thanks everyone, for all of the suggestions on styling. My wardrobe has some weird gaps since I’ve had to replace everything in the last couple of months.

Could you let us know what size you are in other brands? Debating which size to order.

I am XS in tops in pretty much everything and 2 in pants (non-stretchy ones, anyway). I go with S or XS for dresses, depending on the style.

Small fit in the skirt here but I think it was too big in the tops.

The first top would look really good on you with jeans. The dress needs a thick belt and cute black wedges and it would be perfect! That shirt looks like it’d be awesome with nearly anything.

That top is perfection IMO! It looks amazing on you and the fact that it’s comfy… my personal life goals!
ps. Where is Angus photo-bomb?! >^..^< 😉

We don’t let him go outside. We would never see him again.

Ragan, the top looks great on you!

I ordered two of the large bundles and there was really only one thing I’m not sure I’ll keep because it’s a little out of my normal style. I agree with you; picking the right Size was hard because they have both fitted and loose fit items on their site, but I lucked out overall. First time I had heard of this company. I’ve definitely got my eye on them now!

My mystery bundle was disappointing. I received two skirts that only varied slightly by color, otherwise exactly the same.

Regan, you look great.

The first outfit looks cute and agree with the other comment about wearing it with jeans and some cute booties. The dress is okay. It looks fine, it’s just not my style either.

Lola

I like the dolman sleeve top on you. The dress does look a little big in the top but a belt might help. The skirt is cute.

Nikki

I only like the skirt.

Normally I never comment on this website but wanted to say they look amazing on you. The dress is stunning! Love the sandals with it as well!

Lauren

All of those items look amazing on you. That is supposed to be the style of the top and dress. It’s probably just out of your comfort zone (they would be a little out of mine too), but you pull it off well!

That top will -totally- be better with jeans and some heels – I’ve got similiar and that’s how I wear it! 🙂

If you add a belt to the dress, I think you’d like it more! That’s how I’d wear it due to how the waist looks. Otherwise, super cute on you!

Ragan

That’s a good suggestion. Thanks!

Reagan, I think the dress looks really good on you!

Thanks! Sometimes I think I am overly hard on myself…

Regan, I actually think they look better than you think. You could even put that striped dress over skinny jeans. And the top would be fine for working out with tights, walking the dog, casual stuff!
