The box came with this information card.

Safemade Dangler Catnip Toy Boxing Glove – Listed Value $7.99

Leap Pet Products Fashion Catnip Toy – Listed Value $6.99

These two brands show up in KitNipBox often, but this is the first time I’ve seen them in Pet GiftBox. (We received these same toys from KitNipBox before.) Anyway, neither brand is typically available online so I’ve taken the values from the information card.

Sneaky will play with pretty much anything dangly and Angus liked both toys, so these were wins for us.

Loving Pets It’s Purely Natural Freeze Dried Chicken (0.6 oz) – Value $2.99

Although I like the idea of single-ingredient treats, my cats are generally not interested in the freeze-dried meats. Sneaky ate quite a lot of it, including the pieces I offered to other cats because Sneaky is on steroids for her asthma right now and that gives her a ferocious appetite. (She is also on a diet so she is extra hungry.)

Clean as a Whistle Wipes (30, unscented) – Listed Value $4.99

My cats don’t track mud in the house because they don’t go outside. But, Nyx sure does – red Georgia clay all over the carpet. We’ll see how these do for that. (We have received these from KitNipBox before. When I looked them up, Google sent me a link to my own old review.)

Collapsible Pet Bowl from Kole Imports – Listed Value $7.99

I can only find these online in packages of 48 from a closeout supplier. So the value is from the information card because I feel it is more reflective of an actual retail price a consumer might pay. I am not sure how many times you’ll actually be able to collapse this before the plastic gives way. (This is my second one of these; I got one in KitNipBox before.)

Angus sniffs a treat. (Sneaky later stole it.)

Madison with some of the items from the box. Yes, that is a mound of cat toys from subscription boxes behind him. No, that is not our entire collection of cat toys.

Sneaky with the boxing glove toy. I like how she’s trying to feign disinterest in the second photo.

Monkey sniffs the treats.

Monkey looks at me like I’m dumb while I dangle the boxing glove in front of him.

pet-gift-box-cat-march-2017-monkey3

Monkey doing what he really wanted to do all along, which is to hang out in the box.

Two open eyes! (Yeah, one looks big. The veterinary ophthalmologist knows about it.)

Verdict: I calculated a value of $30.95 for the March Pet GiftBox for cats. This is above the month-to-month cost of the box and that’s great for a cat subscription box. A lot of items were repeats for us from KitNipBox, which was a little weird, but most people are not going to get 7 or 8 cat subscription boxes in a month, either, so they are probably new to a lot of subscribers. My cats did like the toys, for what it’s worth. We did get a different bowl in PetGiftBox last month and I’d personally like to see one more item the cats will think is fun (so more toys or treats) instead of two “supply” type items, but overall, I think the value was good.

What do you think of the March  Pet GiftBox? Do you subscribe to any dog or cat boxes?

Have you ever considered donating some of the toy to a cat shelter?
