Nerd Block Jr. sends a list a card showing you what came in the box and usually, there is a little game on the back. We usually get some coupons too but we don’t use them so it’s okay we didn’t have them this month.

Angry Birds Poster Book - Value $3.75

These are some angry looking birds! I think the artwork is great and the poster paper is nice and thick but we weren’t big Angry Birds fans (the movie was funny, though!) so this will go in our gift pile.

Shopkins 2 Pack Fashion Tags - Value $2.99?

My daughter likes these but she has a friend that is obsessed with Shopkins so they will be given/shared. I can’t find an exact match but I saw a mystery 4 pack on Amazon here for $4.99 so this price is an estimate.

NERDBLOCKJR-MARCH-2017-11MAGAZINE.jpg

NERDBLOCKJR-MARCH-2017-12MAGAZINE.jpg

National Geographic Kids Magazine - Value $4.99 (single issue)

My daughter loves getting this magazine in her box each month. She loves reading the “Bet You Didn’t Know” article each month. Did you know a sea turtle can weigh as much as a water buffalo?

Dork Diaries OMG! All About Me - Value $5.99

We weren’t familiar with the Dork Diaries but books are always a hit at our house. Plus, this one that my daughter can write in so she is stoked!

Here’s the book description from the Walmart website:

As Nikki Maxwell knows, keeping a journal is a great way to get to know the most important person in your life: YOU. This special Dork Diaries guided journal features questions for every day of the year.

If you could swap places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why? What song could you listen to 100 times? What TV show are you totally obsessed with right now and why? What's the fiercest outfit in your closet?

Put your personal spin on these questions and many more--and since this is an authentic Dork Diary, Nikki chimes in with her answers and artwork as well

Dork Diaries Stickers - Value $1.00?

I can’t find these online but they are a fun addition to the Dork Diaries book this month. My daughter loves getting stickers.

Power Rangers ShirtPunch! T-shirt - Value $15.00?

We’ve loved the t-shirts the last few months but my daughter isn’t a Power Ranger fan (yet). The cotton is nice and thick but as usual, I wish the t-shirts were a bit more form fitting. I can never find these shirts on the ShirtPunch website so the $15.00 is a guess.

Pokémon Lanyard - Value $3.50

We’re not Pokémon fans in this house but since we know lots of people that are, we are setting this aside for later.

Emoji Eraser Blind Bag - Value $2.99?

These are really cute and my daughter was happy to get them.

Verdict: My daughter really looks forward to getting Nerd Block Junior for Girls each month but I’m kind of on the fence about it recently. The toy brands are ones my daughter enjoys but at least every few months there is something that doesn’t work well or doesn’t work at all. Plus, we like the t-shirt but wish Nerd Block (and ShirtPunch) would separate the sizing by gender so it would fit better. This month I was happier than last month due to the book. We love getting books and the magazine too.

This box (with shipping) is about $30.00 now which seems high for a t-shirt and a couple toys my daughter likes each month but there is also at least one gift item for current or future use. It’s kind of a toss-up for me but I’m sure most kids would love getting a box of toys each month and my daughter is among them.

The total value of the items on in this box is typically pretty high but this month was a less than usual. The March Nerd Block Junior for Girls included  $40.21 worth of toys for $30.00 (including shipping).

We got our daughter, 6, a sub for Christmas, but won’t renew. The shirts are too big and the items are more miss than hit for her. There are other subs that I think would fit her better.

I just cancelled this. My daughters had the same mixed reviews as you seem to. The toys and shirt were seldom a match. For $30 I can find similiar items that I know they will love.

So glad i cancelled this! I figured i could spend less and buy a fitted character tshirt, magazine, book, and blind bag at target each month… it was the baggy t that did it for me. Why pay 30 bucks for something that doesnt fit?
Do enjoy seeing your reviews though!

Thanks Nat!

Yes, the t-shirt is a bummer. They really should size them according to the box. They are so big! They end up being nightshirts due to the size.
