Lilac and Willow Hand Poured Soy Candle in No. 1 “Smudge” (4 oz) – Value $7?
I am thinking “Lilac and Willow” is a brand name because this smells medicinal and not at all like lilac. I love candles with flower petals and herbs, but I am saving this for when I have a bit of a cold because it is the sort of scent that would be really good at clearing your sinuses (I mean that in a good way). I think I was supposed to get a card with more information on this brand but I did not have one in my box and I was unable to locate them online (too much interference from similar search terms), so I have assigned a value that seems typical for 4 oz soy candles on Etsy.
Facial Mask with Rhassoul Clay (0.3 oz sample) – Value $1.40
This particular mask doesn’t seem to be available in the BPure shop yet so I’ve assigned it a value similar to their other powdered clay masks. It has some great ingredients like green tea extract, kelp, and rose hip extract, all of which are high in minerals and/or antioxidants. I actually ran out of sheet masks (can you believe it?) so I have been using clay masks in the morning. This helped to absorb some excess oils from my face without drying out my skin, so I am a fan.
Mint and Lavender Soap (3.5 oz) – Value $6
This scent is also not available in the BPure shop yet. It reminds me of my grandma’s house when I was a kid and I mean that in the positive “happy childhood memories” sort of way. It is definitely more mint than lavender. Beautifly Pure soaps are nice in that they don’t make the shower floor slippery like some other handmade soaps can.
Hair Tie – Value $2?
I learned last month that the fabric items used to wrap the soaps are supposed to be hair ties. That is nice to make the packaging functional, although they don’t really stay in my hair, either. (My hair is difficult that way.)
Verdict: I estimated a value of $16.40 for the March BPure Box. Some of the values are estimates and the true value could be higher. At any rate, it is better than the cost of the box plus shipping, which is great for a box consisting of handmade beauty items. I like that you get an amount of soap that a single person could conceivably use up in a month and a few other products to try. This box is a nice way to treat yourself each month if you don’t have a huge budget for beauty purchases or if you just don’t want instant sample clutter.
What did you think of the March BPure Box? Do you get any soap or bath subscriptions?
