revel-box-december-2016-info-card

This box always reminds me of a gift or care package from a friend because you can tell there is much attention to detail.

I received a note in this month's box that they are moving to a quarterly schedule, along with the schedule that they will ship for next year. I'm a little bummed because I love this box so much, but I understand!

revel-box-december-2016-wrapped

This month the theme was stocking stuffers and each item was wrapped individually so you could add it to your own stocking - how fun is that?

revel-box-december-2016-loom

Weaving Loom - Value $8.00

The first item I opened was a mini weaving loom. It comes with a bamboo loom, tapestry needle, hand-dyed wool yarn, and instructions on how to set it up and use it.

This weaving loom is designed to be an ornament or serve as some other decorative purpose - it's not intended to actually weave. I think this is a super cute idea and I love the color scheme I received.

revel-box-december-2016-jelly-belly

Hello Kitty Jelly Belly - Value $3.44

The second item I opened was a Hello Kitty Jelly Belly box. This is a hefty box of jelly beans! Jelly Belly is my favorite jelly bean, so I was excited to get these - they were delicious as usual.

revel-box-december-2016-towel

Freya Screen Printed Tea Towel - Yummy Pancakes - Value $12.53

This fun tea towel is my favorite item in the box. I love the colors, the print, the shop! I want everything I see in Freya's Etsy shop.

Seriously, how cute is that bird?

Flora Fauna Desk Calendar - Value $15.00

This little desk calendar is so cute. I love the size of it (about the size of a CD case...for those of you that remember them...) with adorable prints on each month! The backside of the calendar page for the month is perfect for doodling and writing to-dos, as Night Owl Paper Goods puts it.

Here's a quick glance at all of the prints for the year - I love them all!

Verdict: Revel Box is continually one of my favorite boxes. I love all of the items included, the fun packaging, and the themes that are so nicely curated. This would have been a perfect stocking for me! The value of this box is about $39.00, which breaks even with the cost of the box.

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

Anyone know what happened to this sub? I went to their site to check the upcoming themes, and it’s not there anymore. 🙁

They were supposed to go in a break and switching to a qyaterly (I believe) box only. The next one was skated to ship 3/15/17. The last time I checked my old link to them it bought me to a website that looked like it was under construction. Today I googled Revel Box and there is another site through (Hello subscription). I’m not 100% sure this is them though (checking e-mails while waiting for kiddo to get out if Pre-K so gotta go but hope that helps).

Thanks Loba 🙂

I really enjoy the Revel boxes.

I have lots of subs and Revel box comes the closest to feeling like a care package. It is not a high value sub (similar to how many book and food subs are rarely high value) but it definitely feels like a lot of thought goes behind each box.

My favorite item was the tea towel. It’s definitely an item you’d stumble across on Etsy or in a local boutique.

I also listened and did not open these before Christmas (even though I was worried that something had broke since I accidentally dropped the package when I got it and I could hear stuff moving around – it was the jellybeans, d’oh). I didn’t put them in my stocking though (my daughter likes to stuff my stocking) and when I finally had a moment to breathe after the mayhem of Christmas I opened these up. It was just a sweet experience to open these individually wrapped items.

I sad that there won’t be monthly boxes available but if this means that there is more time to curate the boxes then I am all for it and am planning to get the next available box.

Don’t get this sub if you are looking for PopSugar or FabFitFun type of values. Get this sub if you want to get a variety of items that feel like an old friend picked them out for you.

39.00…I think receiving something for free colors a person’s thinking.

I totally agree with you!

Right?😂 I wish the reviews of the boxes on here didn’t seem so influenced. Not necessarily negative, but just a little more honest and down to earth.

Where’s the rest of the items? Seems light weight for the price.
