Tim Horton's Original Blend Coffee

You seriously have no idea how excited I was when I opened this box to find Tim Horton coffee. Is it a high brow coffee, like Blue Bottle? Nope. But it is absolutely a Canadian staple and I wish we had Tim's this far south! I loved this coffee - I saved it and drank it with my friend from Alberta when she came out for the holidays!

Double Dutch Ridgies - All Dressed Krinkle Cut Chips

Oh, my word. These chips are even better than the usual all dressed flavor. I'm not sure what exactly is different but these are my favorite all dressed chips I've ever tried!

Lay's Ketchup Chips

I think I've received a bag of ketchup chips in all of my Get Canucked shipments and you won't find me complaining. I really enjoy this flavor - it's quite different from any flavor I can find here.

Miss Vickie's Sea Salt & Malt Vinegar Chips

I think we've established that I really enjoy salt and vinegar chips - I loved these!

Old Dutch Baked Creamy Dill Potato Crisps

Ugh, why can't we find these flavors here in the states? I LOVED these chips - and the baked texture was a welcome change from the usual chip texture!

get-canucked-december-2016-chips

Here's a look at all of the chips - the Ridgies All Dressed were my favorite because of flavor and texture - they were perfection!

get-canucked-december-2016-chocolate

Maltesers by Mars

These are very much like Whoppers here in the States. I enjoyed these crunchy, sweet bites of goodness!

Aero Orange by Nestle

Chocolate and orange pairings have grown on me as I get older. I really enjoyed this Aero bar - it was nice and light but heavy on flavor!

Turtles by Nestle

We've all had Turtles at some point in our existence (I think, anyway) and I always enjoy them. These were nice and fresh: they were perfectly chewy!

Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Bar

This was really good, basic milk chocolate. I enjoyed the flavor of this bar but I generally prefer additions to my chocolate, like crisps or caramel. This was a nice change of pace, though!

Verdict: I always love my Get Canucked subscription boxes. The variety of chips and candy always hits the right balance and they always bring back a little nostalgia for me. The value is always generally good as well; this month, I received 8 products for $25.00, bringing the cost per item to $2.77. I think that is reasonable but a little lighter on value this month than in month's past. Either way, I would have loved this month because of the Tim Horton coffee alone!!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

I’m Canadian so it makes me smile to hear peoples happy comments about Canadian snacks 🙂 I bought this box for my bestfriend who’s Canadian but now lives in California for a warm hug from home (the Tim Hortons was an awesome surprise!). And another box for another friend who lives in Kansas City and just loves Canadian snacks. Both were a fun add on Christmas gift 🙂 Get Canucked has AMAZING customer service. I chatted with him quite a bit over just ordering a one time box for both friends at Christmas and he’s truly warm, funny and he cares a lot about his subscribers and making them happy. It’s a great subscription box 🙂

That’s so good to hear too since I uncharacteristically pretty much blindly signed up for this box after seeing one review here. I’ve always been drawn to Canadian food and snacks and I’m not sure if it’s because I grew up in Cleveland (not far from the friendly neighbor to the north) so I feel a kinship, if I was a Canadian in a previous life, or if I’m just that desperate for “something different!” But when a close friend who is originally from Montreal heard I signed up she was almost as excited as me and asks what I get every month. Since I don’t have a regular coffeemaker and I’m not a huge coffee drinker, I surprised her with the Tim Hortons just before Christmas and made her super happy too! This box is just so much fun…and I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of ketchup, all dressed or dill chips let alone the cool candy bar surprises. That peanut butter Oh Henry last month was drool worthy too!

Yay! Your post made me smile LB, so happy to hear you love it too!! It’s so funny because I LOVE American candy and snacks! I went to school in the states so now I miss all the treats and snacks I had while i was in university so I totally get what you mean! Something different than what we’re used to having but also something that brings back a happy memory as well 🙂

Those dill chips were pure magic….

I’ve been slowly going through my canucked box. It’s definitely one of my faves! I’ve had dill pickle chips from lays before but the brand/flavor/style in this box were AMAZING!!! Need to find a way to get whole bags shipped in somehow!
I actually don’t think I’d had turtles before (seen them just never got them)- loved it, and enjoyed it was a larger pack so it was easily split between my husband and I.

This box is so fun! I subscribed based on one of your previous reviews and December was my 2nd box. I agree with you — those Double Dutch Ridgies were the best chips I’ve ever tasted. I hope they make an encore appearance in a future box. I also loved the Glossettes from last month’s box. Soooo much better than Raisinettes. Who knew Canadian snacks were so great???
