Tennis Trunk sends an informational pamphlet along with each box. This month’s theme is “Healthy Hands” so the material focused on blisters and arm and grip strength. Most people who have played tennis for a while have suffered from blisters, tennis elbow and/or hand pain. For me, this is a bigger issue than the “Happy Feet” problems from last month.

Rx Grip Enhancer by Tourna - $7.99

I’ve never used this before and I haven’t yet but I’m in love anyway. Tennis hands get super sweaty in the summer and keeping them dry is key to a good grip (and a good hit!). This stuff has good reviews so it’s a winner in my book!

As you can see by the photos, the initial consistency is gel-like but when rubbed into the skin, the enhancer becomes chalky on your hands. This stuff is great!

Hand Balm by Wodbrand - $9.50

If your hands (and skin) are overworked and you get a blister, then you bring in the Hand Balm. The balm is made from Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, Essential Oil mixture of Eucalyptus, Cedar wood and Tea Tree and will soothe the skin and assist in keeping the bacteria out. Wodbrand says this is also good for “dry skin, chapped lips, rope burns, and wind burns, etc.”

The eucalyptus, cedar wood and tree tree oil make this stuff smell just divine! This might be one of my favorite new combinations. The consistency is like most products with beeswax and shea butter- it's thick and a bit greasy feeling at first but it rubbed in just fine with a few swipes. I'd have included a photo of the product on me but you really can't see it. It's provides a nice protective layer to your skin though.

X-tra Feel Replacement Grip by Tecnifiber - $6.50

They have the summer products down at Tennis Trunk! This grip absorbs up to 5 times more moisture than regular grip due to a “special hydrocell bond in the polyurethane.”

Expand-Your-Hand Band by Iron-Mind - $6.98

I played with a tennis racket that had too small of a grip one summer and developed excruciating hand pain. It still comes back when I play sometimes so I’m excited to see if using these will help. The majority of reviews are extremely positive!

Re-Play Electrolyte Drink by Hydration Health - $4.00

My husband loves when I get these in my boxes. Honestly, I love to play sports but he is serious about it. He rides between 40-60 miles 3-4 times each week so I think he deserves them more than I do. We think this is a great sports box item and we’ll be happy each time we receive them. Here’s what Hydration Health has to say about this product:

re:play is an isotonic/hypotonic patent-pending oral rehydration solution with an osmolality of 280mOsm/L that is proving to be an effective alternative to an IV. re:play uses 40 years of hydration science with all natural ingredients and without sugar to promote hydration.

Sounds like pretty serious hydration, right?

Wilson US Open Extra Duty - $10.96 (2 cans)

Look, my tennis balls speak French! Do I have to say how again how nice it is to have fresh tennis balls when I play? Well, it is. And there’s the added bonus of getting to smell the cans each time I open them. Anyone else out there love the smell of new tennis balls?

Verdict: Yes, it’s official. Tennis Trunk is a great subscription for tennis players! The products they send each month correlate well to the theme and I always find them useful. Plus, getting new balls each month is great for building my tennis ball collection to fill my hopper. The value is good too for a specialty box like this one. This month’s box has $45.93 worth of items for the price of $34.99 (or less for prepaid options). In addition, Tennis Trunk has been consistent with their shipping which is something I really appreciate. I’m one happy tennis player with Tennis Trunk!
